Pros: Great product easy to read instructions!
Includes AM4 hardware!
Keeps my Rzyen 2700x @ 67c under full load stress testing. I got it OC to 4.325 @ 1.35volts
I bought two of then I was gonna put one on my GTX 1080 but my case will not support both of them so I'm gonna throw the extra one on my I7-4770k when I get time. And ill update review on how it does.
Cons: None for the price you pay!
Overall Review: Great cooler for the money and it compatible with the NZXT Kraken G12 GPU cooler kit. But I didn't get to try it out due to my case not being able to support two of them, so ill be swapping the Corsair H55 I have on my I7 out with the spare one of these I have now.
Pros: My chip runs 4.325ghz on all cores @ 1.35 on MSI x470 M7 AC board
Ive seen it self boost to 4.6ghz before my manual overclock (Not on all cores)
Stays cool max ive seen with stated overclock is 67C with Thermaltake Water 3.0 Extreme S (This is stress testing it)
Beats my I7-4770k @4.3ghz in games like Farcry5 same GTX 1080 (I7 4770k - 70-80 FPS) (Ryzen 2700x - 100-125fps)
Older games they get around the same FPS
Cons: None I might have hit the silicon lottery for once! 4.325 @ 1.35 volts and didn't try any higher. I might push it higher down the road when its towards the end of its life like I did my I7-4770k which I lost the lottery on lol.
Overall Review: If you want the max FPS right now then go with a Intel I7-8700k and OC it to 5ghz. The only reason to choose Intel now.
If you want to upgrade you CPU 2 years down the road pick AMD!
If you want to get more threads/ total CPU power for your money Pick AMD!
If you don't want to have to delid you CPU Pick AMD.
The core wars have begun and newer games can actually use these threads, and they will continue to be threaded higher and higher to keep the first gen Xbox ones and PS4s running the newer games. So most games will be using 8 threads soon. Ive seen Farcry 5 use all 8 threads of my I7-4770k at 80-95% so yea they use the threads but it you can give it 8 real cores you going to gain some great fps just like I did!
Pros: It has full windows 7 support all the drivers are right on the website! (Wish I would have known that before trying to install windows 10 see other thoughts)
Has a PS2 port -> So you can install Windows 7 without modifying the ISO
Bios is a breeze to use!
Has M2 shield (heat sink) too keep the M2 drives cool.
MSI customer support and warranty!
It runs all cores at 4050mhz and I’ve seen it turbo a few cores to 4560mhz!
Cons: None so far!
Overall Review: Well after 3 pain staking days of trying to get windows 10 to update ever way possible, between the blue screens of death, Windows 10 not recognizing my GTX 1080--> thus not being able to download drivers for it. ETC..... I said many bad words and decided to give windows 7 a try after all the only reason I even pulled that Piece of _____ operating system off my shelf is because I read that you had to use it for Ryzen processors. But MSI comes through again!!! This is one of the main reason I buy MSI products they let their customers chose how to use their products! They have full windows 7 support ie. drivers for this motherboard! Now you have to jump trough a couple hoops to get it to work properly but it only took me around 3 hours to get fully up and running! Not 3 days like window 10. Btw not one BSOD with windows 7 what so ever.
So windows 7… after you install it using a PS2 mouse and the onscreen keyboard just get into the usb driver folder on the driver disc and it has a read me file on how to manually make the USB drivers install. Took me a while to find that read me file. Once that’s done and you start downloading updates Windows 7 has a nice little pop up that say this processor is not supported blah blah blah no security updates blah blah blah…upgrade to our s***** new operating system that you can’t even update because half way trough downloading a updated ISO of the Piece of ______ you get a BSOD. But luckily a community member has a nice little patch that fixes that problem and will let you get all future updates! Rant off! I’ve bought MSI products for long time 3 gaming laptops this MOBO as well as GPUs they have great customer service as long as you register your products and complete your end of the deal.
Pros: This thing is a freaking beast i came from a AMD 955be which severed me well for 3 years! But this thing is freaking amazing i have read alot about intel and just never really built one until i started to have problems out of ARMA 3. With my old 955be i was getting low 30s to mid 20s fps... and i could not get the view distance in game to be ture i seen fog instead of terrain even with it on a ssd. With this cpu i can turn it all the way up on ultra and i get mid 45fps to 60fps! This is on single player! But i can now dog fight my heart out being able to see the jets at full 12000m now!!!
Overall Review: JUST BUY IT!!!!!
Pros: Very easy to instal!
Keeps my (No oced) 4770k around 28c idle and around 65c full load!
This cooler is way better then my old after market air cooler which was some what loud.
I have yet to overclock my 4770k but when i do im sure that this cooler with handle it!
Pros: This little key board was shipped super fast two days from CA to NC i was amazed that it came this soon i was not expecting any of my items until next week! Pros it charges with the same cord as the nexus. The bottom of the keyboard is the same material as the nexus. It came charged up i connected it within 1 min. And it holds the nexus in place very well. The key board can also be used as a protective cover if you do not already have one. But also works with an existing cover if you just flip it out.
Cons: The keys seem to be ok but some of them are off center. But for $26.99 shipped no eggs will be taken off for that.
Overall Review: The keys are some what small but this is also for a 7inch tab. I have rather large hands and i can type pretty good on it.. Just takes a little time to get use to it! I wrote this whole review on my nexus with this keyboard no problems. This is a must have if you want a small compact keyboard.
The keys are a little smaller then a dime.
Pros: I wrote one review on this laptop back to talk it up again! For starters i have overclocked this puppy to a whopping 2.733ghz per core. This laptop is designs to overclock one core to 2.4ghz while the other stay at 1.5ghz. But i was able to get a stable 2.733ghz out of all four cores. This out perfoms a I-2410m and a couple other I5s that cost much more money! Also i installed another 4gb stick of ddr3-1600mhz yes i said 1600mhz this is what mine had in it so i added another stick. And it Really brings the gpu to life jumped 1.2 on windows index. I can now play bf3 on low at natvie res. and play borderlands 2 on med. with native res!!!
Cons: NONE! I have bought 4 of these so far!!! The best laptop for the money and killer overclockers!!!
Pros: Great cooling performance even in a fan-less midtower case!!!
Two super quiet fans, with the fans on max setting still quieter then the stock amp cooler fan!!!
Fan controller comes, and with everything you need and the instructions are a breeze!
The quality of this product is bar none if your thinking of getting this cooler quit thinking and just glick the add to cart button you will not be sorry!!
Please see other thoughts!
21c drop in idle temps!!!!
Overall Review: Please know this thing is huge but i managed to fit it in a midtower case but its was a tight squeeze!
When i first installed this cooler i turned the computer on and i notice a good drop in my cpu temp. I have a AMD 955be overclocked to 3.8ghz and have the vcore at 1.51v which was giving my stock cooler a time it idled at 54c. Upon boot up my temps where at 45c with the fans at the lowest setting. I was some what happy i mean that was a good drop then i noticed that my 560ti was running rather hot 78c i was shocked then i noticed i was running a folding program which had my cpu and gpu running at 100%!!! Upon shutting down that program my temps dropped to 33c!!!!! And this is in a fan less midtower case!!! This made me smile! This cpu cooler is worth every penny. That is a 21c drop on idle temps!!!! So its time to oc this bad boy some more!!!
P.S. When gaming i have 8 120mm fans blowing in my case, server rack!!!! But sounds like hover craft!
Pros: Well for you guys/girls looking at this card for bf3 look no farther.
This card is a beast. I overclocked it to
With out voltage increase and i can squeeze a little more out of it then that if i want.
I get 28-45 FPS on Ultra on BF3 depends on the map that's 64 player maps 1920x1080 60hz NOTE:( I do not play it on ultra and i do not think its playable on ultra it will lag a little and its not as smooth as lower settings. If you do ultra and turn off MSAA its playable. I personally play it on low i think it looks better and i get 100-140fps on low!!!
Ultra 28-45 FPS
High 45-65 FPS
Medium 70-90 FPS
Low 100-150 FPS
The rest of my rig is in other thoughts.
During game play it does not get above 65c. That after hours of game play. And with limited air flow. But good fans it will not break 55c.
This is a good card for the money does alot for what it is. With a voltage tweak this card could be pushed into the 900mhz range on core
Cons: None ITS A XFX FOR PETES SAKE!!!!!
Overall Review: If your looking at this card just go ahead and buy it it will play any game out and for the price your not going to beat the performance.
955be at 3.8ghz
Patriot Sector 5 8gb DDR3 1333mhz oCed to 1600mhz
1tb 5900rpm hdd
ocz 700w psu
Pros: Good air flow!
Quality material for the price!
And front usb!
I have had this case for a year and 3 months now and it has given me no problems. Plenty of space the 550w psu is still working but in a different computer of my dads. And the fan showa no signs of giving up still going strong.
For the money you are not going to be able to beat this case. As i said in my other review DO NOT USE THE POWER CORD THAT COMES WITH THIS PSU! I think that is why people have had problems with it the cord is flimsy and cheap. Buy a cord, i had one laying around, or use one you have laying around.
Cons: If you put a cd drive in the lowest bay the fan will touch it and the side panel will not go on. But the if you use the top two no problems!
Pros: Good price, modular, plenty of cords and you get the rebate!!!!!!!
Cons: Non so far i have had this PSU for some time now i think around a year now and no problems.
Little power cord. I did not use the cord that came with the PSU it was super thin and did not look good. Lucky i had a couple hanging around.
Overall Review: Right now it is running a 955be at 3.8ghz 24/7 8gb of ram and a ATI 6850. So for the price it is worth it. I have no complaints. Much better then the cheap Chinese one that came with my case.
Pros: Its a XFX! Fast quiet. Can run any game on Max settings. Free game.
I have ran ARMA 2 on very high. 1920x1080@60hz 3d was on the same. Does not even lag!
Cons: This is XFX were talking about here. Out of the countless number of card i have owned 1 was not a XFX. And it was the only one that broke!
The only con is that my MOBO does not have a second pci-e slot. So i will have to upgrade so i can crossfire.
Overall Review: I must apologize to you XFX. I cheated on you and tried another brand of video card. :( But i have realized my mistake after it broke and the customer support didn't even rma it. But the only reason i cheated on you was i could not afford the card i needed. But know i saved up and bought this card and im happy.
Be sure you have a good enough psu mine was fine. Also be sure that your cpu is up to par with this card. My cpu bottle necks this card bad you would not believe how bad.
P.S. This card is big. When i opened the package you could not have beat the smile of my face. It fit in my Midtower with out a problem but if someone had more then one HDD then you might.
Pros: 700watt, Quiet, Rebate came in, modular saves so much space, more stable vcore for overclocking!!!!
When i read the reviews after buying i was kind of scared but this PSU is a great product i have overclocked on it pretty heavy and not even a glitch.
Do yourself a favor and buy this as long as you do the rebate correctly they will send you your money. But might take a little while.
Cons: None so far.
Pros: This seems to be a good power suply.
Comes with all kinds of goodies.
Got more stable vcore when overclocking. VS super cheap 550w psu that came with my case.
Cons: I would not trust this PSU on a high dollar system. Read the reviews they seem to go out when you push them hard and they dont seem to last very long.
We will see.
Overall Review: When i build my new system i will push this PSU to the max with super overclocking and psu testing. On my cheap rig that is. If your looking for super good PSU for a $600+ build i would suggest other companies. I am basing this soly on other peoples reviews. So in month i will be back to see if this psu can handle a super test.
Pros: Cheap. So when it breaks you wont be out much money. LOL
When it worked without problems for the first 6 months no problems it play all the games i wanted it to.
Cons: Card went out on me after 7 months. Would randomly freeze on me and would not boot with video. Some times would take me 30 minutes to get it to boot with video. I updated all drivers for vga and chipset. This last time i just took it out and used on board
graphics. Upon taking the card out of my computer i broke one of the fins of the cooling fan. So now i cant get it replaced. Even though the only problem is in the chip its self. Also you have to go though the resaler for warranty asus does not handle this. Sorry asus you can bet my new gtx 465 wont be a asus card.
There MOBO are the best and i heard that there warranty sevice was the best in the business so i took a chance and bought one of the video cards. Mistake.
Overall Review: Buy a better card from Evga, XFX, MSI. Asus just entered the vga market and to be honest i am scared to drop $250 on a gtx 465 made by them so it will be a Evga.
Pros: Quiet, Cool, and Cheap = AMD
This chip will do what you want it to no problems. The only way i have maxed it out was with Prime 95.
Idles around 22c. Under 100% load OCed to 2.5ghz 43c.
Will play arma 2, crysis, on medium no problem. Im sure it will play them on high. But the other components in my computer hold it back. I only have 1gb ram and a geforce 9500 gt.
You can run anti virus and still play games, surf the web no problems.
Cons: None!!!!! Its a AMD what do you expect.
Overall Review: Buy it!!!! New egg rocks!!!!!!!!!
Pros: Good case.
Newegg!!! Is the best!!!!
Cons: The power cord included with the case will not supply enough amps to the power supply do not use it. I REPEAT DO NOT USE IT!!!!!!!!!
I had a couple just laying around and used a better quality one. And i have not had any problems out of my power supply so far.
Overall Review: Im running a pretty good load on it.
Cpu and Gpu
Pros: The video card is great. Of course it is it made by ASUS. This company is excellent the rebate is already in the mail. Plays crysis on high.
Quite fan huge heat sink. Idles around 38c and under load about 43c.
Would buy again and probably will when I upgrade again and sli.
Cons: This has nothing to do with asus but the latest driver out from nividia does not go well with this card I get random lines or dots on dark objects sometimes. But didn’t when I had older driver.
Overall Review: Asus is a great company and the rebate is in the mail.
This is a definite buy.
Pros: Very good case. No problems been running the power supply for 5 days straight.Do not use the power cord that comes with this case!!!!!!! It will fry you power supply. it is super thin and is probably why people have been having problem with there power supplies.
The fan keeps the case cool. my cpu idles around 24c under load 35c.
Cons: The fan will hit hard-drives and CD drives.
So you cant use some of the bays.
But for $39.99 not a problem.
Overall Review: This is what i have in it.
Cpu:AMD Phenom X3 8600 Toliman 2.3GHz
MOBO: ECS BLACK SERIES A780GM-A
GPU: Asus 9500gt with 1gb ram
Memory: crucial 1gb 667mhz
Runs great. Got all for $255 shipped.
Newegg is the best as always.
Pros: Very Fast. Plays crysis on high no sweat. It stays super cool idling around 24C and when gaming or under load around 35c with stock cooler. I have yet to overclock it but Im going to. Very good budget chip. I would buy again and probably will. Free shipping. Newegg rocks!!!!
Overall Review: I build this in a budget computer.
MOBO: ECS A780Gm-A
GPU: Asus 9500gt 1gb
Memory: Crucial 1gb 667mhz
Case: Broadway Com Corp 939PL-BLACK
Cpu: AMD Phenom X3 8600 Toliman
Built the whole computer for only $255 and get $45 back in rebates.
So this cpu is perfect for a budget build.
