Works great for gaming so far

HP OMEN - 17.3" 144 Hz IPS - Intel Core i7 9th Gen 9750H (2.60GHz) - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 - 16 GB DDR4 - 1TB HDD 256 GB SSD - Windows 10 Home - Gaming Laptop (17-cb0040nr )
HP OMEN - 17.3" 144 Hz IPS - Intel Core i7 9th Gen 9750H (2.60GHz) - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 - 16 GB DDR4 - 1TB HDD 256 GB SSD - Windows 10 Home - Gaming Laptop (17-cb0040nr )

Pros: -Great cpu/gpu combo at a fair price compared to other similar built laptops -Omen software actually is kinda good -Temps stay at resonable levels due to the larger fans, and it stays at a bearable sound level -Screen is great, with both IPS, great contrast and brightness, as well as GSYNC -Thunderbolt support, if you need it -SD card readers -Battery is a 70wh, so it should last a good while, though time will tell on that

Cons: -Too bad the wrist edge is not slightly rounded off, leaves marks without using some wrist rest or ergonomic cooling pad -Keyboard RGB could be a bit brighter, but then again some may prefer the more subtle look with the current brightness -Keyboard is not mechanical switches, though still feels decent to type on -Would be nice to have finer control over fan speeds in Omen software, even if the option was a bit hidden for advanced users

Overall Review: Only been able to play a bit of WoW so far with it, but handles all settings maxed out (no extra resolution scale tho, AA set at CMAA). Was holding around 70 fps in Boralis. GPU temps were about 60-65C, CPU at around 70C. Fans were audible, but not overly noisy or disruptive to gaming. Keyboard and really the whole surface area never got too warm, fans seem to do a good job with air movement. Omen software can control many different things: Lighting, 3 different profiles for laptop performance. Comfort, Default, and Performance modes. Has a tab showing realtime info on temps, utilization for gpu/cpu and even network bandwith. Also works with the other Omen branded peripherals it seems (Had an Omen Mindframe headset that instantly popped up with all its options when I plugged it in). Some minor faults with the edges of the laptop where your wrists may rest. A bit sharpish, but not cutting sharp, just 'leaving a mark' sharp. Can just use a wrist rest or use a adjustable cooling pad (still recommend one, even with the fair fans in this laptop). Screen looks great, has amazing colors due to IPS panel, while still having no noticable ghosting to me. Also has GSYNC support, so no dealing with screen tearing! Sound quality is...ok? You can't really expect much from laptops there anyway. Can reach a good volume, and is clear enough for what I need. Switching out the 1TB HDD with an SSD, so I dont really have any thoughts on the pre installed one, though Im sure its good for movie/music storage. The pre installed M2 drive seems to work well, will also install a second one soon as there is 2 M2 slots.

Kinda hurts...

Creative Fatal1ty Professional Series Gaming Headset MKII
Creative Fatal1ty Professional Series Gaming Headset MKII

Pros: Has good sound so far.

Cons: Hurts the top of my head after wearing it for 15+ minutes. Think the padding on the top part isn't enough or something.

Works with Sabertooth P67

Pros: Fast and not too expensive.

Cons: Had to set XMP in BIOS for it to go at 1600, but that's nothing to take an egg off for.

Pros: Fast and noiseless.

Cons: Have not run across any yet, will update if drive fails or something.

Overall Review: Have my OS and a couple other things on here. PC boots up extremely fast.

Small, yet fits well.

Pros: Fits my hand well, good precision.

Cons: No gripes with it so far.

Overall Review: At first I thought going from my larger MX mouse to this would be problematic, but as it turns out, I ended up getting used to this in a couple hours. Nice and light, and it comes with weights if you want it a bit heavier.

Pretty cool.

ZALMAN CNPS9900MAX-B 135mm Long life bearing CPU Cooler Blue LED
ZALMAN CNPS9900MAX-B 135mm Long life bearing CPU Cooler Blue LED

Pros: Cools well, isn't loud.

Cons: Quite large, but thats what you get from higher end air cooling.

Overall Review: Noise isn't a problem lest you are running P95 or another stress test. Even heavy gaming it doesn't rev up very high and keeps it cool. Battlefield 2 BC on 2500k CPU with ASUS Sabertooth P67 gets 50C at the highest (and my room is an oven in the summer).
