Just What I Wanted
Pros: I should have gotten one of these a long time ago. It works very well. There is no setup at all. Just put the batteries in and plug the little receiver into the USB port and that's it.
Cons: None
Not for me
Pros: Cheap
Cons: Too shiny and too much plastic for me. I hate the CDROM doors which flop open.
Overall Review: Seems from the other reviews that some people liked it but I hated it and sent it back. The shiny plastic is very easily scratched and I deplore those plastic doors which are designed to flop open when you press the plastic button which in-turn presses the CDROM button and when the CD tray comes out, it pushed the plastic spring-loaded door open.
Good and Bad
Pros: Works well and does some nice stuff
Cons: It will not load Windows XP Professional SP3.
Overall Review: Do not buy this board if you want to use Windows XP. It will not load. It gives you the blue screen saying "Windows has shutdown in order to prevent damage to your computer..." or something like that. Talked to 4 people at ASUS. 3 were nice and the last was not. He told me that it was a Microsoft problem and abruptly (in the middle of the conversation with any warning) transferred me to Microsoft where all I could do was talk to a machine. He might as well have hung up on me. That basically meant I was on my own. Prior experience with ASUS support had been excellent but this one left a very bad impression of ASUS support. I finally loaded the operating system on the harddrive by putting it into another computer and then moving it back.
