Faster than Listed.
Pros: Cheap, all metal casing, read and write is faster than listed in specs. the CrystalDiskMark score are listed in Other.
Cons: The gaudy Rose Gold look..... but since the SSDs are out of sight in my case that don't matter too much for me. Would look bad in my Fractal Design Node 804 Case. They don't have a 2TB version as of posting this.
Overall Review: Here is the CrystalDiskMark score: Sequential Read (Q= 32,T= 1) : 559.247 MB/s Sequential Write (Q= 32,T= 1) : 506.713 MB/s Random Read 4KiB (Q= 8,T= 8) : 388.230 MB/s [ 94782.7 IOPS] Random Write 4KiB (Q= 8,T= 8) : 314.301 MB/s [ 76733.6 IOPS] Random Read 4KiB (Q= 32,T= 1) : 287.012 MB/s [ 70071.3 IOPS] Random Write 4KiB (Q= 32,T= 1) : 269.571 MB/s [ 65813.2 IOPS] Random Read 4KiB (Q= 1,T= 1) : 35.446 MB/s [ 8653.8 IOPS] Random Write 4KiB (Q= 1,T= 1) : 80.984 MB/s [ 19771.5 IOPS] I bought 2 of these drive, and they both had the same results. As with ALL SSDs you have to create a "New Simple Volume" in Windows Disk Management. or Create a New Partition in Gparted in Linux to get the drives to work at first. If you don't do it they will NOT BE recognized by your system. You also have to make sure it's in MBR mode to use as a OS Drive GPT is for storage only. Now there is feedback of them dying, and if that happens with me I will update my feedback accordingly
I had annoying issues like It having BIOS 1.4 (first version) & missing parts.
Pros: It's small, it works, and has plenty of room for SSDs. Even though it only has a 120W DC adapter you will not have power issues unless you try to overclock the CPU & Memory to much. This is a great item for HTPC, a Desktop Travel PC (just add a portable monitor or use the Motel TV).
Cons: The reasons for the 3 Eggs is: BIOS is outdated (at the time I purchased it 8-6-21) so those that want a out of box install to a 5300G, 5600G, or 5700G can be a problem. I was lucky enough to obtain a 2400GE so I can flash the BIOS from 1.4 to 1.7. Had plenty of screws for 2.5 SSDs, but only a SINGLE M.2 screw for the WiFi module. Luckily I have a laptop screws kit so I can look that over, but other customers may not be so lucky. No 2nd SATA connector, and you have to remove the motherboard to mount the other 2.5 drive. That is just bad designing.
Overall Review: I would recommended this item if they can ensure the customers that they're getting this with the latest BIOS as well as you getting all the parts needed to install M.2 SSDs & the 2nd 2.5 SATA drive. Since I bought a a300w in the past I still had a spare SATA connector so I am not as upset by it, but it still should have had 2 not 1. If it were not for the cons I would have gave it a 5 egg.
Good crad for those that want power without the excessive power draw
Pros: When used with a properly set AMD Chill settings the power consumption is no more than than a GTX 1650 Super (100W Max) in very demanding games like Red Dead Redemption 2 while in games like Doom Eternal though will use less then 75W (average is actually 65W) @ 1080p in Ultra Nightmare. The actual performance is great for Max settings (exception 1st level of quality in RDR2 if you want 60fps) 1080p gaming and high to medium settings at 1440p (RDR2 will play at 59.5/60fps with the lowest "balanced" settings) this is even with AMD Chill activated. It runs quiet in my case compare to the case fans. I have been wanting to get a GPU with the most bang for my buck with the least amount of power draw and so far this has been a great choice for that. Oh actually having a metal back plate is good as well.
Cons: These cons are minors but here they are. Fan control & temps is hit or miss if you want to go the 1440p. This card is going after the 1080p gamer, but if you want to go and do a lot more 1440p gaming go with a different model with a three fan design. The fan controls are not great with Zero RPM on so if you got poor air flow, and/or a small case turn it off. The metal tape on the ports not used instead of putting on a properly made cover is tacky, but it's no deal breaker for me. Others may see things differently If you want to Ray Trace anything other than Minecraft well at the time of writing this review I would say if you do not mine playing at 30fps (or less on more demanding games) then look elsewhere until AMD gets their new RSR tech fully worked out. I don't game with Ray Trace on so it's no big deal with me. It's also a shame that I bought this at the price I did instead of waiting for the price to drop just three and a half weeks later, but that is on me.....
Overall Review: Great for 1080p gaming, a tad too warm for 1440p gaming, but most importantly with AMD Chill a lot less power demanding then other cards with similar performance (like the 1660s or 2060 non super). This card is paired with a I7-10700T (35W CPU) on a H470 Motherboard so I now have a powerful 1080p/1440p gaming rig that dose not draw more than 150W max out of the wall while gaming (with games like Doom Eternal it's under 100W). With electric bill prices soaring this card is a good investment for heavy gaming sessions. Just don't expect Ray Tracing as of yet until AMD gets their RSR fully worked out....
Good PSU for those that don't overclock.
Pros: Very quiet: I can not hear the fans at all (the birds outside make more noise than this.) Have not had any issues running a Strix B450 Motherboard, 3 RGB fans, a SSD, a HDD, a Ryzen 5 1600AF, 2 Sticks of RAM, and a MSI RX 5700 video card.
Cons: the SATA & PATA (molex) connectors need to be on separate cords, or at least one cord have all SATA & one for PATA.
Overall Review: The cables are long enough for most ATX mid tower, but it's best is for smaller towers & Micro ATX motherboards or smaller. It can handle a system with a 65W TDP CPU & up to a 180W TDP Graphic Card without overloading it as long as you are not overclocking it. It's not audible while in the case, and it's not over priced so it's a good value.
Very good for the price.
Pros: RGB is bright, and colorful. I was able to install this on my PC with a Cooler Master I71C heatsink on my Gigabyte H370 HD3 motherboard without having to the heatsink due to the the middle being 10+mm lower. Very good stable performance. The price is great compared to other brands.
Cons: If your wanting a lot of RGB effects at least on the motherboard I am using you may be a tad disappointed. I upgraded from a 16GB V-Color 3200 kit, and the previous kit had 8 different effects. This one though has only 4 effects using the RGB Fusion. I personally don't mind the lack, but some may. At the time of posting this I do not have a RGB Fusion 2.0 compatible Motherboard to see if there is more.
Overall Review: With this kit being one of the cheapest 32GB 3200 sets out there I will diffidently buy this again. Even with the lack of RGB effects the price/performance makes it all worth it. This is my first time buying OLOy branded memory, and they left a very good impression. Note on the install of the RAM with a Cooler Master i71C (or other variants) already installed make sure you install the the first module into the DIMM port that is closest to the CPU first and at a slight angle when lining it up. It'll make things easier for you.
They work great as RAM, the RGB had a issue
Pros: Nicely priced for RGB memory modules, Performing well, and scored a 86.1% using UserBenchmark (see other). LEDs are bright.
Cons: I bought two of these (at different times) one module works fine with Gigabyte's RGB Fusion software, the other one is not and just sticks with default Rainbow Effect. So that is why I took away an egg.
Overall Review: Overall this RAM works very well and I would have loved to give this a 5 out of 5 rating, but with the RGB malfunction 4 is all I can give it. here were the UserBenchmark scores: MC= Multi Core SC=Single Core MC Read 33.6 SC Read 21 Latency 54 MC Write 32.2 SC Write 36.4 74% 54 ns MC Mixed 23.7 SC Write 36.4 85% 29.8 GB/s 80% 28 GB/s
They did good on the way they shipped the product including the anti-static foam (the pink foam) item was in good shape. The Item was as described, and thanks to your sale I saved a lot of money on the item which it was not cheap (even vs. retail,) but I am miffed it took 5 days to even ship the item (3 business days). So it took 10 day to arrived, but I will say there may have been a "third party" causing that delay, but I have received packages from other Marketplace Sellers faster for a lot heavier items even (or if there was a delay they would give me a courtesy upgrade to USPS Priority.) Regardless due to possible 3rd party causing a delay (newe....) that is why I only took one egg off and not 2 for that delayed shipping. By the way USPS even ran late so it was not delivered on time by their tracking site so I am in the right for the No on "delivered on time".
