Pros: When it works, its a decent board.
Cons: purchased 3 of these boards, 1 had bad BIOS, 2 had broken cmos button on back AND corrupt bios right out of the box. Sent them back, recieved another 2 with broken CMOS buttons on the back.
Overall Review: Just a heads up: I also purchased the Asus Rampage Gene IV (socket 2011) with bent CPU pins, broken CMOS button ( protection plate for CPU pins not seated correctly and pressing down on pins). Also, when I RMA a defective product, Newegg makes me call to ASK for a return shipping label (should automatically get one if item is defective).
Cons: Worked for 1 week, died.
Overall Review: I bought a Tatung 12 cup rice cooker about 15 years ago and it worked flawlessly for that time. Now, my mother is from Thailand so, for me, good rice is a main staple. To my dismay, their quality control must be subpar compared to 15 years ago (or I just got lucky). This one lasted 7 days and even when it worked, the rice on the bottom was crunchy. Read all the negative reviews before you buy (even on the differant models). I am a sat panna wiss no lice. I neet to buy new wann so I hap some lice. Maybe ness time I buy amelican.
Pros: Beautiful to look at, functional. Very sleek.
Cons: All 5 that I purchased had the 12v rail at 12.7 - 12.83v
Intel D510 shot up to 70+C in all 5 PCs (not enough room for airflow even with wires tucked out of obstruction). No other place to put another fan. I had to crank the fan speed to 80% to get the temps down to 35-37c and man is it loud.
Overall Review: Brushed Silver means it has a cloth-like sticker on it giving it the "look" of brushed metal (scratched kind of easy). Just for craps and giggles, I intially tried to stick my old 150GB Raptor in it....WRONG...hit 74c almost immediately! Pairing it with a SSD should help keep temps down. Luckily these were only going to be internet machines and a quickbooks machine. I am somewhat satisfied with them @ the 35 dollar shell shocker deal. They may fair well for other boards, but the Intel D510 has a big heatsink and no fan.
ftr, somewhat satisfied mean I wont be buying them again as I prefer COMPLETE satisfaction.
Pros: Pink for the wife
Cons: First pulled it out of the plastic and noticed it "rattled". Plugged it in and buttons 4 and 5 (usually page forward and back) aren't configurable...the forward most button is set for page back and the back button is for forward. It's just plain JANKIE! I'm a small asian guy and could easily crush this with 3 fingers (no i'm not a ninja).
Overall Review: Nothing on manufacturers website for a driver to configure this, Win Vista and Win 7 can't configure it properly (not windows fault). For 20 bucks I expect higher quality. AVOID THIS PRODUCT. This is only my second negative review in 5 years (third one is comming up with the matching keyboard with "choclate" style keys by same company).
Pros: Pink. Wife likes Pink.
Cons: Just an all around poor design. I know it says SLIM, but i've used many slim style keys before and none were this awkward. Keys seem way too close for real keyboardists. The white characters on a pink keyboard make it difficult for hunt and peck users to see (brown or black would have been ideal colors for this). There are no stands for these either. They lay ALMOST completely flat on a desk. My typing speeds went form 95-100 wpm to 30-33.
Overall Review: Had these keyboards been around 12-15 (because they are pink)with free shipping, it may have warrented a 3 egg rating, but due to the 20 cost, I gave it 2 eggs.
Cons: First off, I give the benifit of the doubt to most due to manufacturing processes not being perfect...that being said, I purchased this RAM and the DDR2 1066 REAPER and BOTH failed. Memory errors right off the bat (and underclocked initially at first. The chances of this happening to the same person with 2 differant models is pretty much null...but it happened to me! SAD!!!
Overall Review: Newegg was quick to remedy the problem albeit with me losing out on a $35 combo deal. Newegg still gets 5 eggs for their customer service. EVERY person I have spoken to at newegg was ver professional (been buying from them for 6-7 years now). I say this because i've read reviewers giving produts a bad rap because they weren't happy with having to wait a few days for RMA...so I say to them GET OVER IT! RMAs RARELY happen, and when they do, count your blessings you don't have to pay double plus tax at Best Buy or Tiger. If you have a problem with newegg, either you have a personality disorder or you're just an i d i o t!
Pros: Beautiful picture. smart light adjust brightness darn near perfectly for my eyes.
Cons: Initially recieved a jacked model. Watching video or scrolling too fast caused a "Money for nothing" effect (blue neon glow around outer edges).
Overall Review: 7 years ago, I was in Asia and LG was top dawg there. I was dumbfounded why LG wasn't as widspreaed here in the states. I am profoundly happy that LG spreading the wealth of great technology at an affordable price. Even their washers and dryers can't be beat for the money!
Pros: Front HDD quick rls...Flawless. Roomy. Design...Flawless! Lightweight for its size too!
Overall Review: With great reluctance, I purchased this case to keep things cool. I changed my endeavor to water cooling so the airflow didn't have a chance to show its stuff...BUT, I can tell you that this monster is a...well, BEAST! I don't know why other manufacterers of higher end cases don't put more thought into real world properties as Zalman has with this case.
Pros: great silverstone qulaity. nice solid contruction.
Cons: Use caution when using full size ATX boards. I have tried 2 differant boards (Asus and Gigabyte) and both make a VERY tight fit with the sATA on the side of the board popinting towards the front of the case.
Airflow is odd with the engineering of this case. Doesn't allow for adequate airflow over video card (4870 or 4890) thus making them run a tad bit too hot.
Overall Review: I wanted something compact that I could still do water cooling. This one fit the bill for the most part. However, the internal dimensions make for too tight of a fit for a FULL size ATX gaming system. It would be great for an entry level system, but not much more than that.
Pros: Absolutely PERFECT for the price!!!! Defniately got my moneys worth.
Cons: It's most unfortunate that some people have gotten faulty units (provided it's not user error).
Overall Review: I bout this almost 2 years ago from here and have moved once since purchased and it still works perfect! Everyday use with 7 PC attached (plus 1 uplink). No probs with heat, no probs with anything. Other reviewers may have bad luck, but I mine works as advertised AND almost 2 years later. In fact, I just bought another one for another location.
NETGEAR FOR THE WORLD...and *bump Linksys and their ineffective tech support!
*(ok Netgear, I just gave you mad props for quality products, just make sure your tech support is acceptable (preferrably U.S. based).
Pros: Worked fine when first tested it upon purchase.
Cons: Died upon second use after being in storage for 6 months (got it while on sale for fourty bucks but didn't need it right away). Tech support was HORRIBLE!
How much do you think we trust the intelligence of those that tell us their names are Mike, David, and Sam and they all live in California!
Overall Review: Welp, where to begin...when I hookd it up for the second time, everything worked for about 90 minutes...the kept dropping the connection. Called linksys and explaind what was happening. I told them I knew the router went bad and they ASSUMED it was something I did (even with my electrical engineering degree)...I humored them by staying on the phone for almost 2 hours and even paid ten bones so the idiot could see what was going on via remote desktop. He said he got it working again (sure he did by changing the frequency (channel). I was annoyed by this point and just hung up. Next day tried it again...BOTTOM LINE....STOP OUTSOURCING TO 3RD WORLD COUNTRYS...TECH SUPPORT WAS JACKED! Sure, Sam was a nice enough fellow, my mom's from Thailand so i'm used to people with accents and can USUALLY understand them better than most...but c'mon Linksys, get your stuff together. Keep American money here because EVENTUALLY, In dia will be the next China!
Pros: Fits nicely. Sounds is good. Haven't had any complaints from people i've used it with. Easily paired with T-Moble Wing.
Cons: Occasional static. I've read in other reviews that people have the same issue. This is unacceptable, ESPECIALLY for the price.
Overall Review: I gave it 4 eggs because it does fit and sound good when there aren't those occasions of static, however, potential buyers should understand that as far as fit goes, NO ONES EARS ARE IDENTICAL, therefor, companies TRY to make ear pieces that are more common fits for most users. If you are one of those unlucky people that have a really odd shaped ear, you really shouldn't be a negative nancy and give bad reviews based on your unfortunate disconfiguration. Seek solice in knowing that with the advancement in technology and the competitive market in plastic surgery, it is financially within your reach (and would be HUGELY benificial to the rest of us in the fact that we woulnd't have to read poopy reviews).
Now, I will continue to use the z9i because it's small and lightweight. I've tried others and for me, this one is the most comfortable.
When this one is dead, I will, however, not purchase another one of this same model.
Pros: Not too cheaply made. Very mediocre.
Cons: Very mediocre
Overall Review: Fot the price I paid (36+Free Shipping), I got my moneys worth. Then I read CurlyG Cradle Rock s review and he only paid twenty7 with FREE SHPPING! :(
If the PSU lasts over a year, meesa bein' verrry happy me thinks.
Overall Review: Most reviewers are right, this stuff is the cats meow. Overclocks nicely, but, as G.Skill reps have pointed out, they have a shorter life expectancy.
Will send back to G.Skill for warranty service.
Pros: Inexpensive. Perfect for a standard workstation.
Cons: 1 out of 4 purchased had the audio die on it after a few months. good thing I had an old sound card for the customer.
Overall Review: purchased 4 of these since June 2008 for various builds. Overall quality is decent for what you pay (sub 40 dollar).
Pros: HD720 (4:3 aspect). Neat video effects. Great picture quality in most lighting conditions. Does EXACTLEY as described in product info and does so very neatly.
4GB DDR2 800
nVidia 8600GTS (256MB)
Overall Review: Orinigally slightly frustrated at the design because I THOUGHT it wouldn't allow me to set it stable on top of my Chimei 22" monitor. Until I just said "screw it" and just rested it on top when I realized...THATS WHAT YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO DO! 'DOH!!!
No, seriously, get it and you'll see that i'm not the only dufass! ;)
Pros: Good enough to warrant buying another one. This case was decent and stylish enough to give 'er a second go.
Cons: Ok my second case arrived (after my first review of first case)and, like other cons from other reviewers, I now see the actual inherint problems this case has. Screws were stripped like other reviewer stated. Case was BENT (30 minutes to repair with a light hammer, 2x4 and a towel slowing bending it back in place) while box and packaging were intact.
Overall Review: Now i'm not too terribly disapponted in this case, only slightly. The cost was minimal, the shipping on par for outrageous. It appears to be touch and go with this case. A tad bit of inconsistancies in the manufacturing process based on newest case recieved and other reviewers...gone are the days of the @20 cheiftech/chenming/chenbro/ultra cases...now them there were SOLID cases for the loot!
Pros: 15 months and still going strong. Still as quiet and still as powerful as the day I installed it.
Overall Review: My only hope is tha tEnermax continues to make great quality products at affordable prices. THX Enermax and THX to Newegg as well!
Pros: Wireless and works without a hitch. Just plug the USB reciever into an available USB port, Vista installs automatically...no stuttering of keys like others, no problems with joystick, near perfect in design/layout.
Overall Review: I would like to see a lighted version of this keyboard, but the overall value is OK. I only say OK because:
A)I don't like and/or never send in the rebates.
B)Can't think of a B, but I still don't like the rebate crapola.
Pros: Stylish looking and inexpensive.
Cons: cost after shipping.
Overall Review: Although this is a decent deal for what you're getting, I would still like to see the overall cost drop by about 10-12 bucks in order to make this a GREAT deal.
*please note that I did NOT complain about the PSU or the build quality as I feel I got what I paid for which was a good overall value.
Pros: 1. Inexpensive
2. Easy installation
4. Quick Installation
5. Not pricey in the least
6. A snap to put together
you get the idea ;)
Comes with a handy dandy genuine vinyl slipcase (not that cheap corinthian leather stuff Khan was trying to solicit us with in the 80s)
Overall Review: For the money, this thing is the cats meow!
Pros: Works as it should with Zero problems.
Cons: I could see how some people may have a problem getting these to work properly as the instructions are mediocre at best.
Overall Review: If you find these difficult to work with, you probably shouldn't be in the pc repair business. It may sound harsh and i'm not referring to any other posters, but if you have trouble figuring out a keystone or you're getting packet loss or drops, it's probably poor installation which leads me to believe that incompetancy is a factor.
Bottom Line: Good product, Good Buy! ;)
Pros: Inexpensive and Fast; sounds better than my sons c*Rap music!
Cons: Good Lord this thing is louder than a gorilla stepping on a goat head!
Overall Review: Yes, it's loud and I mean loud, but for the money, I can personally tolerate it since i'm not playing games while burning a CD/DVD. I am purchasing another one after this post because it's going in another PC for me. However, I wouldn't put this in a PC for customers.
Pros: Better than average picture quality. Great Price. Great for gaming and office.
Overall Review: I purchase one about 2 months ago and was so impressed with it's quality. A great picture with a solid construciton. I hope newegg keeps these around because I would like to get a few more by the end of '07
Pros: Quiet. Inexpensive. Decent Performers.
Overall Review: Good deal on Good fans.
