Pros: Very quiet, runs cool, is very low power and has nice performance. Overall, a great little disc drive.

Overall Review: This one shipped with the 1.5 GB/Sec jumper removed (3.0 GB/Sec mode). Older 1/5 GB/Sec SATA controllers may not recognize the drive without the jumper installed.

Pros: Small, plug and play, has a y-usb cable for additional power, nice color, runs very cool and they include leather case. Hard to go wrong on this one.

Overall Review: You may need to plug it directly into the Motherboard. My front panel USB connectors do not deliver enough power, even with both plugs connected. This is a fairly common problem with USB powered Hard Drives.

Pros: The drive is fast and silent. The 8 MB buffer really improves the performance. They are now shipping with the 1.5 GB/Sec jumper removed (3 GB/Sec mode). My older 1.5 GB/Sec SATA controller required that I add the jumper to limit the speed.

Cons: None since I sinstalled the 1.5 GB/Sec jumper. Otherwise it was not recoginized by my motherboard.

Overall Review: I was wondering if the 2 MB buffer version would be fine on an 80 GB drive. I'm glad I decided to get the bigger buffer. This drive performs well.

Pros: They both came right up using Windows XP. They are very quiet and fast.
