Pros: seems to be bulletproof

Cons: price has dropped from $150

Overall Review: 2 1/2 years later and my tech challenged wife hasn't been able to break it...e-mail, facebooking, phoning...and picture taking. Fits in her purse better than a kindle...good buy for people who just want to impress themselves...

Bridge over the river photo11/29/2013 9:02:20 AM

Pros: Fits large hands well, just the right size...best point and shoot I've ever used...good low light performance...get a fast memory card and click 'emoff as fast as you can...

Cons: Two hunnert fifty bucks less at that place named after the river in south amerika...C'mon newegg, I'da bought it from you if ya coulda done better...

Overall Review: If you need to shoot on the move without a bag full of lenses just for fun, this is top 'o the line.

Forty dollars of excellence5/21/2013 4:04:10 PM

Pros: Cheap...modders delight...who's afraid to hack and slash a forty dollar case? It's light...it's black...scratch your chin, think a little, save your hard earned dollars and spend the money you save on hardware...

Cons: Ignoramus reviewers with self appointed 5 star tech knowledge who can't figure out you can move the fans twords the door and get them ALL in...simply by using the other screw holes... ARRGH, Newegg, give me the ability to upload simple pictures and help the assembled masses, ain't got time for a video...

Overall Review: Grills can be cut out with a simple pair of diagonal cutters making it cooler and quieter...with a tad more skill you too can slash the back of the case and hang the h100i out there with four fans...h60 fits in the forward top fan hole BUT you've gotta get the optical drive in the bottom drive bay...

And STILL running...4/23/2013 4:26:04 PM

Pros: Well...here we are over a year since the last upgrade still running no problems...

Cons: makes lousy french toast, never calls when it's gonna be late...

Overall Review: Upgraded again to a FX-8350, all 8 cores thumping along at 4.5 with a corsair h100i keeping the temps down...MSI hasn't failed me and my first was a t-bird socket A over 15 years ago...

Good for the $$$...1/5/2013 4:46:28 PM

Pros: Price - performance, easy 15% overclock, not worried about the socket being obsoleted by greedycorp...

Cons: Didn't install itself...couldn't remove the sword from the stone, so it's not the King of England...won't hug me when American Horror Story scares me witless...

Overall Review: Runs 48C on prime95 at 4.5 with a tad more voltage and a H100i...methinks somebody doesn't know anything about watercooling...maybe I got lucky with last years cheap mobo and the expensive cooler, no? Has 8 real cores in the pics I've seen with its hood up...

Well done1/3/2013 3:59:30 PM

Pros: Solid, new softer larger hoses, easy install replacement of H-50...

Cons: Fans...annoying noise, no additional performance accompanies it...Wish I didn't have to use the AMD backplate and mount, took an egg off for that one and yea...when you send me noisy fans I EXPECT STELLAR PERFORMANCE FROM THEM...

Overall Review: Paired with a pair of Silverstone FM-121 at 1500 RPM blowing in, and an old pair of Silenx sucking out, the only sound is air rushing through my EXTERNALLY mounted H-100...the FX 8350 it's cooling is clocked at 4.5G and runs from 35-45C...I'm not using the Corsairlink as I prefer to dial my own speeds by hand, call me a Luddite...

Good enough12/16/2012 8:57:54 AM

Pros: Works for peanuts easy ATT hookup

Cons: uglier than a mud fence

Overall Review: Good enough to throw a-zon books to Mom's Kindle over the slowest DSL connection in the world

OH yea...10/25/2012 5:31:40 PM

Pros: Large...sharp...black around the edges. Looks good even when it's off...

Cons: Have to turn my head from side to side to see the whole thing...what do I do with all the extra room on my desk now that the 90lb. 21" CRT is gone? Now watching movies in my office, I had to buy a comfy-er chair and ottoman...need to hire extra help to supply beverages and empty the bedpan...my tan is fading since I turned the brightness down...

Overall Review: 8 years of Acer products and they keep supplying the most bang for the buck...no dead pixels, turn the brightness down to 50% and away you go into really large screen land...anybody who thinks they can get more for less needs to put the pipe down.

Bang for the buck10/12/2012 6:17:07 PM

Pros: The price is right

Cons: none yet

Overall Review: Bought this to replace a still working 4850 I didn't think would do such a great job driving my new 27" monitor as I had spilled a cup of coffee on it...jumped the windows experience from 7.6 to 7.9 and ran quieter and cooler...for the price it can't be beat in my book.

Home run6/17/2012 12:11:11 PM

Pros: Replacement drive for snow-me paystation trey...games load faster, delays "RIMLOCK" in Skyrim for an extra hour in machine not hooked to 'net for MUCH less $$$ than SSD... online instructions for data transfer from old drive made it simple...

Cons: None yet

Overall Review: If this thing gets any cheaper I'll put it in every laptop I service just because...

Grrrr...4/29/2012 9:09:23 AM

Pros: Cheap for what you get

Cons: Take a close look at that DVI connector on the card...because it isn't going to let you use a standard dvi-vga adapter for cheap dual monitor use...HDMI adapter ONLY.

Overall Review: Plays flight sim great, wish I could use the second VGA monitor...

feh2/8/2012 4:39:53 PM

Pros: If reusing old equipment is your bag, fire away...see lower comments

Cons: WILL NOT run the latest video drivers even with a 4850 in the slot...spontaneous reboot-instant lock into a black screen. MUST use the driver package from Asrock website. WILL NOT run 1066 memory speed, locks...800 is all she wrote. (yea, I've adjusted the timings lower and upped the voltage...no go...yea, the phenom ran 1066 in another board with the same RAM)

Overall Review: It's cheap, so it will do till I can afford to buy the kid something in a socket AM3+...sometimes, you get what you pay for.

yes indeedee...1/12/2012 3:20:41 PM

Pros: Faster than my old 74G 3 raptor raid array...TWICE as fast...boot time cut in half...shutdown time is darn near instant.

Cons: Price.

Overall Review: It's currently hanging out the side of my machine with an old adapter power supply like a colostomy bag...might be time to install it permanently...

Yawwnn...4/22/2011 5:43:13 PM

Pros: Fourty dollar case with airflow supreme...you can use standard 120mm fans in the top by sliding them twords the door instead of using the stock mounting holes... This might very well be the best of the sub $50 cases, kids...

Cons: knuckleheads who can't get their corsair cooler or fans installed without "mods"...the 'MOD" is to put the rad in the top forward fan hole and slide it tword the door...use old hard drive screws...mount the fan inside blowing out... Get one of Mom's butter knives slide it between the front cover gently twisting all the way around and YOU TOO can pop the front of in mere seconds...or just let Mom do it.

Overall Review: If I could just upload a picture of mine instead of a video it would be simple to install your fans and corsair coolers...I do a video review, I wanna get PAID boyee...

one more time...H50 fits this case NOT IN THE STOCK HOLES...2/5/2011 11:50:12 AM

Pros: inexpensive airflow bottom mounted power supply Six stock width fans will fit IF you use your head... one in the door.

Cons: People who buy a cheap case and turn off their brains when it comes to assembly...people who don't read the reviews that tell you how to make it work...with a little thought, you too can save money on the case and maybe spend it on the power supply...I bought a 750W corsair power supply with that money...

Overall Review: I'm going to explain how to get the h50 and the top fans in the case one more time...do this AFTER the mobo is in the case. Mount the H50 in the top forward fan hole...use the holes closest to the door, NOT the stock screw mounting holes...attach the radiator with old hard drive screws...mount the fan to the rad INSIDE using the supplied screws. tada, it's in. Mount the rearward fan in the holes closest to the door...tada, a stock width fan fits and doesn't interfere with the mobo...too bad I can't upload a picture for the logically challenged. You MAY lose the use of two memory slots with the corsair mounted like this...but something tells me you don't have the money to buy all that ram if you didn't buy at least a hundred dollar case...I've got 8G in two slots on mine, and I'll be upgrading everything including the case by the time I need more RAM...

Cheap out1/27/2011 6:02:14 PM

Pros: low price, decent replacement for the logitech 4.1 that went kablooey after 8 years.

Cons: No short wave

Overall Review: l-tech no longer made a comparable price-performance model to replace my 400W 4.1 system...hooked this to the computer with toslink cable...5.1 for a BUNCH less than l-tech's best...

Wife happy...1/22/2011 9:06:09 AM

Pros: See review title...great price/performance for near field system. Name brand. If Momma ain't happy...nobody happy.

Cons: You ain't gonna annoy the neighbors much with this...if that's your thing.

Overall Review: Buy headphones for making your eardrums bleed, the headphone jack works fine with my sennheisers.

...explains it all for YOU...1/22/2011 8:41:42 AM

Pros: AIRFLOW...SIX fans will fit if you put one in the door. Knuckleheads need not figure out moving the top fans out of the stock holes and twords the door will allow say...a corsair 50 to fit with the rad on the case, and the fan inside blowing out...use old hard drive screws to mount the rad to the case. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811998027 These will space your fans out slightly from the case holes and cut down on the whooshing noise...they come 2 in a pack...with a bunch of screws and those pull thru adapters I hate. If you're stripping out the holes on this case have your mom show you how to use a screwdriver. Front cover comes off like most do...slide a butter knife between the case and the cover at the bottom, twist semi-gently, work your way up. If you can't get a standard 120X25MM fan mounted in the front...you ain't got the HD(S) in correctly.

Cons: Reviews by people who couldn't pour poop out of a boot if the instructions were printed on the heel...your tech knowledge is a five? YGBSM...

Overall Review: Throwing away the toolless adapters for the drives and using ALL the screw holes on your opticals and HDs will stiffen this case CONSIDERABLY.

More Yawning...12/28/2010 6:33:22 PM

Pros: 3 core 740 unlocked to 4... and overclocked with the multi and FSB to 3.4 and change...on stock voltages 1333 ram no divider tricks...I'll be back when the 1600 ram gets here and or I feel like tweaking voltages...

Cons: none yet

YAWN...12/24/2010 5:57:13 AM

Pros: Unlocked fourth core on X3 740...fast, stable. 3X-old 74g raptor RAID...500g WD black storage... 4g 1333 gskill ripjaws faaaaassssstttt for the money.

Cons: None on this end.

Overall Review: Out of the DOZENS of mobos I've installed over the years, I've found ONE I had to return...it was a refurb...I'm either incredibly lucky, or I do my homework before I build the machine...AND every Mobo gets its OWN new power supply rated above my needs...the old 750W PC P&C PS stayed with the old mobo, this one got a brand new Corsair...if you're using Nosewill or Shi te-on power supplies you got on sale you are asking for trouble...

BINGO!12/24/2010 5:40:26 AM

Pros: Unlock fourth core AND up multiplier to 3.2 with MSI 870A-g54...stock voltages. Corsair H50 cooler... FSB adjustments soon, WILL go higher.

Cons: Didn't install itself...now out of stock.

Overall Review: I often wonder if the people who have no luck overclocking unlocked chips are using, say, a $50 power supply...Or old memory sticks out of their dell...or a stock cooler.

Mission accomplished...12/19/2010 10:03:11 AM

Pros: Bought two at the USA store when the manager wanted to get them off the floor...$35 each... Price, airflow, FIVE low rpm 120mm fans will fit...SIX if you have an old zalman flower arm laying around...I wanted one blowing down on the board due to the corsair H50 which I put an old Silverstone 121B I had lying around on... case fans are silentx, the old h50 fan, old lian li case fan and the blue monster it came with...with the 121b turned down to silent, the fan the case came with is the loudest... Mobo temp goes up ONE degree with Everest.

Cons: none...you get what you pay for here...want a stiff case, pay more money...I don't plan on using this to block up my car...besides, using ALL the drive screws stiffens it up... toss the toolless plastic drive holders in the trash.

Overall Review: Corsair h50 fit in top forward fan hole when I moved it to the nearest holes in the grill...used old HD screws to mount so the fan would blow OUT and UP...lost two memory slots on the MSI 870A due to this, but two 8g sticks will be enough...Case keeps a triple 74g raptor raid array cool... BUDGET PARTS FOR BUDGET BUILDS.

exhausting mount...10/19/2010 7:51:41 AM

Pros: 120mm screw holes, built like brick shiphouse, 3 speed choices and oh yea...moves some air.

Cons: funky babypoop colors

Overall Review: Spend some time with a pair of cutters removing the grillwork from the rear of your case and mount it on the OUTSIDE it'll work as an exhaust fan...

beat the heat6/13/2009 6:28:25 PM

Pros: inexpensive all option board from a company that never failed me...semi fail this time...

Cons: hot nb chip

Overall Review: Replaced white gunk with AS-5...still ran at 80-90C. pressing directly on the center of the NB cooler resulted in IMMEDIATE drop to 50-60C...removed black insulator that was holding the cooler off the chip and replaced pushpins with old parts bin models with stronger springs on the pushpins CAREFULLY adjusting so it ONLY hits the chip and not anything around it...VIOLA! idles at 57C, 100% all cores at 64-65C...got a bigger cpu cooler that blows downward twords NB coming...thinking and acting beats whining and complaining...speedfan and SANDRA to check the temps.
