decent card
Pros: Fast NEWEGG shipping. Fair price for old AGP bus upgrade. Plays my older games and videos much better. Low power requirement, I only have a 500 watt power supply. Small form factor. Quiet. I've had this card for over a year with no problems or overheating. I run 5 to 10 real time stock charts at a time, along with my brokerage trading platform. Video card is coupled to a 24 and 20 inch monitor 5 days a week from 6 am to 4 pm just about year round.
Cons: Driver install, as others have noted. After second try I didn't bother with cd drivers, just went straight to hotfix and everything worked fine with one exception....can not get sound to work on copy protected DVD's that worked fine with old FX5200 card. Registered card and emailed HIS about problem and received no reply. Sound works fine on all games, webstreams and cd's.
Overall Review: Asrock 775i65G motherboard Q6700 cpu OCZ PC3200 2gb memory Mtron 32gb SLC SSD hard drive Sparkle 500 watt power supply Windows XP 32 bit OS Once i got over the driver install problems, this has been a solid, dependable graphics card for me. Read through the Newegg reviews and use the driver fixes others have suggested...ATI hotfix, whatever the current version is. HIS website had a link when I registered my card.
Pros: price, stainless steel, hinged crumb tray. It has an upper and lower heating element, a lot of cheap ovens only have upper elements. It makes great toast. heats up quick
Cons: You can barely fit two slices of toast in this. Door handle gets so hot you need an oven mitt to open it. Rotary mechanical timer instead of a temperature probe to determine when toast is done.
Overall Review: Can't really use it as an oven because of it's small capacity. You can buy a toaster that takes up less space and is cheaper. Barely fits a frozen pizza.
Pros: Single slot card. No external power needed. Low power draw. Runs 4-to-5 real time stock and futures charts, my brokerage account, trading DOM and an online training room on 2 24 inch monitors with no problems. Typically runs about 10-to-12 hours a day, 5 days a week. Occasionally runs internet to my 42 inch TV......just OK for that application.
Cons: None I can think of.
Overall Review: Gave me a 7.4 score in Windows Experience Index. Upgrade for an older motherboard. ASUS P5G43T-M Pro micro motherboard socket 775 Intel Q6700 quad core CPU M-Tron 64gb SLC SSD hard drive G-Skill DDR3 1333 4gb memory OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W PSU Coolermaster HAF 932 CASE
Pros: Price. Worked as expected. Almost as fast as my replacement NIC card.
Cons: none
Pros: price. worked as expected
Cons: none I can think of
Overall Review: Won't work with a 2013 Nexus 7 without an OS hack. Not the adapters fault.
Pros: price, painless installation on windows 7 64bit OS. Faster then my old motherboard NIC that quit working.
Cons: none I can think of
