Pros: Good price.

Cons: Like most laptop drives running under linux, thhis drive makes a clicking sound due to agressive apm, annoying and somewhat bothersome, but eliminated by issuing hdparm -B 254 /dev/hdx early during bootup, and returning to the default hdparm -B 128, -B 159 just prior to poweroff.

Pros: None for this product...but don't get me wrong, Newegg is one of the best, if not the best place for online computer hardware.

Cons: I bought this for use on a linux system, but the spindown/idle clicks were just too much. I have fugitsu, western digital, and hitachi drives, and they all have this annoying click. On all others issueing hdparm -B 254 /dev/hdx works, but not on this one...(the clicking is significantly louder for this one as well). So, I returned it for a comparable hitachi drive.
