Nice Unit, Works Great!
Pros: For $20, this is a great bargain. I've paid double that at local stores in the past and the quality was not any better. The setup was easy too. Not sure why some people have had problems. Some have complained about the drive getting too hot. Hey, you don't use this as a secondary drive it's supposed to be an archive drive, which means it's only hooked up for a short time. Just long enough to copy your files. Haven't had any over heating issues at all. Left it on for several hours for testing and it only got luke warm. It has two bright blue LED's that lets you know it's on. I like good bright indicators, no problem for me. Also the on/off power button is on the front for convenience, I like that.
Cons: Can't think of anything bad about this unit.
Overall Review: I would not hesitate to recommend this unit to anyone that needs a good inexpensive external backup drive. If it fails, I'll just buy another one. $20 bucks is nothing anymore.
Has Problems
Pros: The write up sounded very good and looked like just the thing I needed to increase my WiFi signal in the weak spots in my house.
Cons: Very disappointed in the product. I have 120 Mbs service. Speed on unit starts out at 10 or 12 Mbs then slowly looses speed and ends up at around 1 or 2 Mbs. Then after about 5 minutes the lights go out then come back on like it's recycling itself. Continually does this as long as it is plugged in. Reset unit and configured several times but nothing changed. This unit is not working at all according to the write up and specs. I am going to send it back for a refund.
Overall Review: I can't honestly recommend this product to anyone at this point. Maybe I just got a bad one. But I'm a little hesitant to try another due to the fact that it has to come from China.
This Is The Best!
Pros: I purchased this mounting bracket because of it's no nonsense design. Some others have weird designs and take up extra space. This one makes it easy to mount a 2 1/2" platter drive or SSD into a 3 1/2" drive bay. Good quality and sturdy design makes this a good choice for any upgrade. I have used other brands in the past that were hard to install and caused me problems. I will stick with Corsair for as long as it is available.
Cons: I have heard it won't work in some brands of computers. Reason is that some PC companies and manufactures don't follow industry standards and make it difficult to make changes or upgrades of any kind. So make sure you check this out thoroughly.
Overall Review: I would recommend this mounting bracket to anyone that tinkers with or does repairs of any kind.
One Of The best
Pros: I have been using this Cougar power supply in my Cougar case for a little over two years now. Has run steady and trouble free in this gaming PC. I have a Geforce 970 GTX FTW video card, AMD 8350 CPU, 2 DVD/CD drives, 2 HDD and 1 SSD. Also added 3 additional 120MM fans. Never has given me any indication of overload. The modular feature is great, only use the cables you need. Not a lot of excess cables to have to bundle to get out of the way. Runs very quiet, sometimes have to check to see if the fan is running. Have had such good luck with this PS, I will definitely purchase another for my next build.
Cons: No complaints with this baby!
Overall Review: Great for any application, gaming, office, or just plain home use. Also runs very quiet.
