Termaltake Mid-Tower Case

Thermaltake Versa H22 Mid-Tower Case w/ Window CA-1B3-00M1WN-00 SPCC ATX 7 x Expansion Slots 3 x 5.25" External Drive Bays
Thermaltake Versa H22 Mid-Tower Case w/ Window CA-1B3-00M1WN-00 SPCC ATX 7 x Expansion Slots 3 x 5.25" External Drive Bays

Pros: -Whisper Quiet System Fan (120mm) operation. -Multiple Filters (Power Supply, Case Front, top and bottom). -Multiple 3.5in (Hard Drive) holders & Multiple 2.5in holders. -Front panel connectors, plenty of length and marked clearly. -Feeder slots for cables. -Optional top of case fan position. -Bottom Power Supply installation, (with filter). -Plenty of room to support multiple motherboard configurations. -Overall outstanding case. Quality construction. Lot of thought put into making it a case the end user can put to use.

Cons: -Screw towers built into case does not offer a position for a ATX mid-tower motherboard. For example, GIGABYTE GA-Z77-HD3 has screw holes not supported in this case. They are common screw holes on the motherboard, that should be supported! Not a show stopper, just too common to be missed. Seems to have support for the micro ATX and full size ATX motherboards.

Overall Review: Overall, an outstanding case for the money. Will fit most needs and allows for alot of flexibility for multiple hard drives and true 2.5in products. I have recently purchased multiple units for build and used this case in conjunction to a RAIDMax ATX-295WBP. The Thermaltake beats it hands down. This case does come without a Power Supply and costs a tad more than the RAIDMax, but worth it. The Thermaltake Power Supply comes with a 3-year warranty, compared to the 1-year for the RAIDMax power supply.

Logisys CS368RB Case

LOGISYS Computer CS368RB Red & Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 480W Power Supply
LOGISYS Computer CS368RB Red & Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 480W Power Supply

Pros: Pretty Color. Good price, though now I know why.....

Cons: Bad design as a ATX case. Once the motherboard is installed, it is not possible to install a DVD drive without it sticking out over the motherboard with limits its placement drastically, because of the DVD itself hitting critical components (Memory, CPU plug, etc.) on the motherboard. Also, for a case for today's variety of motherboards, it is a mystery as to why they do not offer it with the CPU Core voltage plug that is needed. I purchased a motherboard that was released in 2012 and this case does not support it. This motherboard (Gigabyte GA-Z77x-D3h) has a 8-pin CPU Core Voltage plug, but the power supply offered in this case only has 4-pins. I am seeking to return it.

DIYPC Skyline-06-WR Black/Red Dual USB 3.0 ATX Full Tower Gaming Computer Case with 5 x 120mm Red Fans, Hot Swap Docking
DIYPC Skyline-06-WR Black/Red Dual USB 3.0 ATX Full Tower Gaming Computer Case with 5 x 120mm Red Fans, Hot Swap Docking

Pros: * First time I have used this case. Great price too. I have built many a computer, 7 just last month, so I've used a few different cases over the years. * Comes with 5 fans that are whisper quiet. * This case was well packaged. The case construction was excellent for my use. Doors front and back came off with ease and the front has a viewing glass that is quite big. It allows you to see inside with ease. * I loved the options this case offers. 3 external bays. 6 internal with an extra metal section between the removable 3.5 drive trays and the upper external trays. * The fans offer your choice of the 3-pin connector on the motherboard or the 5vdc molex connector as well, to hook directly up to your power supply. The cables are long enough to stack the molex connectors and use only one power connector from the power supply. * This case gives you an USB 3.0 extender with bracket that allows you to come out the back side of the motherboard and hook up to some USB connectors hanging of the back plane of the motherboard. I happen to add an external tray that holds extra USB ports and ended up with multiple options on front and top of the unit.

Cons: * I would like to see a power LED light on the case. The fans that lite up help. The details of the web site mention 5 red fans but the top only have red blades, they do not lite up. * I would like to see the extra ports (USB & e-Sata) that currently sit on top of the machine to face the front of the unit. They would be easier to use. They would work well if they were positioned right below the external trays to keep any cables you might have to an external drive out of the way and would not hang down in front of any DVD drives. The cables could interfere if you needed to open any of the Optical Drive Doors. * Also a cable draped (external drive cable) over the front could hit the power button and shut down the computer in the middle of something. The best option is to tell Windows (power options setting) to "Do Nothing" on the Shut down option. You will always have to use the Windows menu "Shut down" option, but it will prevent any accidental shut down. Note, the Reset button if flush, so should be no issue.

Overall Review: * I would definitely recommend this case. Naturally some cases might offer better options for (while costing more), but here you get a great value for the money.

Great Video Card!

MSI GeForce GT 710 2GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Low Profile Graphics Card GT 710 2GD3H LP

Pros: No Fan to go bad. Fans always have a limited life span...heatsinks are forever! Simple to setup and great for an office environment. Still has 3 video outputs (HDMI, DVI & VGA) and it is supposed to support 3 monitors at the same time.

Cons: 2Gb of memory. Again, great for an office environment, but more is always better.

Overall Review: Yes, highly recommend it for an office computer. You cannot go wrong. I had to use this because the Ryzen CPU is a discrete CPU....none of the new AMD CPU platforms come with integrated graphics capability.

When you need a fan....

Noctua NH-D15, Premium CPU Cooler with 2x NF-A15 PWM 140mm Fans (Brown)
Noctua NH-D15, Premium CPU Cooler with 2x NF-A15 PWM 140mm Fans (Brown)

Pros: 1. 6-Year Warranty, at the same price with others that come with only a 2-Year warranty. 2. Definitely a quality package which comes with ALL the parts for either an Intel or AMD install....all included. You get a "Y" cable for both fans to the same CPU connector. Also, extra "Low Noise" cable extensions, if needed. These are supposed to lessen the fan noise...probably allow them to run at a slower speed, (an option I don't use). 3. Replace fans easily, and I mean easily installed and are around $20.00, if needed. 4. I was able to easily shift the outer fan into a higher position so I could continue to use it. The unit will operate with only one fan. But, again I shifted the outer fan to accommodate the RAM sticks. Being able to shift the fan allowed me to keep them both. This is another feature because with two fans, you have redundancy.

Cons: If any, just realize, it is big, and I mean big....good only for the biggest cases.

Overall Review: Yes, I would definitely recommend this product. Probably the best cooling option available, unless you want the water option. Yes, I would definitely purchase this product again.

RAIDMAX ATX-238bp case

RAIDMAX Super Hurricane ATX-248BP Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 450W Power Supply
RAIDMAX Super Hurricane ATX-248BP Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 450W Power Supply

Pros: Well designed. Good Color. Layout is well done with power supply located at bottom for low center of gravity. Added feature of access ports that lead into the back of case, plus two fans, with locations for many more. Overall, it is a really good case, however.....

Cons: The cables coming off of the power supply are just too short. The sata cable needed for placing a DVD drive in the top bay of the case is unacceptable. It will just, just fit without even the tiniest of slack. It evens puts the connector on the back of the drive in a slight bind. It works, but I moved the drive to the 2nd slot. To operate without the bind means that the top bay is off limits.

Overall Review: I would buy the case again
