Don't buy6/26/2019 10:22:21 AM

Pros: Resolution is good. But does not make up for the problems of this unit.

Cons: Fails all the time, freezes, stops recording. Horrible quality. Even after resetting and keep settings stock the unit quits recording after a little while. Google the issues people have faced in ownership of this unit and it's a tell all that this junk unit won't work when you need it to.

Did Exactly What I Wanted!4/14/2019 6:18:52 AM

Pros: Delid and Relid process is easy for this processor. Powerful and with the proper nerdism you can achieve much cooler temperatures. I bought a pure copper IHS from Poland to relid with, I also used liquid metal. I can overclock the chip I received to 5Ghz, but run it normally around 4.5 Ghz. No crashes, no problems, amazingly fast.

Cons: None, I knew what I wanted and how I wanted to orchestrate the overclock and cooling.

Overall Review: I would recommend this to other geeks and nerds that are willing to go the extra mile to achieve something interesting and great in a build.

Works4/4/2012 1:56:34 PM

Pros: Easy install into a PCI-e 2.1 8x (Tri-SLI) graphic card port. Loaded custom driver and installed in a flash.

Cons: None really yet. I knew what I was getting into being I've owned other hybrid drives. I can notice that pci-e does pep things up pretty nicely on transfer times. Con-Price I would say.

Overall Review: This was a great steal @ $329.00 when it was on sale. Got the performance that I was looking for in this guy.

What in the...11/28/2011 5:29:56 PM

Pros: Amazingly fast. Notable differance from my previous 6870 crossfire config.

Cons: I about pee'd in my pants..

Overall Review: ATM I'm only running one of these guys and it kicks the crud out of my 6870 crossfirex config. Bought a video card PSU to power the other one I bought and it should be in tomorrow (They do pull 300w per under load, may be a con but hey you were told this under description) Not sure I'll stay in my chair when I get in all together, I'll let you know!!

BEST STUFF11/10/2011 4:01:58 PM

Pros: Its by far the best thermal compound tranferance paste out there. You hear these stories that the white stuff works just as good.. Its a lie.. Does not work as good at all. Dropped 10c just in thermal paste change from a generic silver. 14c-15c from the regular white stuff. Yes its a pain to pull your motherboard out and disengage the back bracket to apply it but its completely worth it!!!!

Cons: None. Best stuff like I sad...

Overall Review: ALL YOU NEED is a half pea sized drop dead center of your processor. Use a credit card or shopping card whatever to smooth it around until you get a thinnnn layer that covers everything. IT will look like you dont have enough but keep spreading its there I promise and its all you need. Any more will hurt the transferance and not help you out at all.

Good for the Price10/11/2011 12:58:52 PM

Pros: CHEAP!! Bought these for an eyefinity setup and yea works like a champ. All 3 sit at exact same height and is edge small enough to be a good and approved cost effective way to this setup. Will get 3 more of these guys later.. Really cant beat the price..

Cons: 1680x1050 not 1920x1080, bust still good

Overall Review: I've had no issues with them at all. 1+ year running at the moment though.

LOUD and DOA6/23/2011 6:03:34 PM

Pros: Dont know yet, I'll have to change my review later..

Cons: DOA

Overall Review: When it arrived I pulled my GT210 out and put this bad boy in. Started with a bunch of blocks all over the screen and then turned into some lines according to what was being displayed or suppose to be displayed. Touch a PSU, straight from the wrapper in and no good. :(

Wow9/30/2010 6:48:55 PM

Pros: Super Fast!! I'm pulling 205 MB/s read and 195 write off a 750i in ide mode. I cant enable ahci in my bios. But hey I'm burning into my desktop and core apps right away so I really dont care.. Thinking about getting another one and going raid 0.

Cons: Huh?

Overall Review: I'm having trouble with the firmware upgrade utility. Not sure if anyone else is having trouble with this. Of course the drive comes in the sleek nice packaging. OCZ did no skimping on the details.. Too bad there wasnt any firmware warnings or just card information on updates and maintaince provided to the average user. But hey their awesome anyways.

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!9/25/2010 3:56:37 PM

Pros: Takes complete control of powering your sli setup. I was lanning and spilled beer in the side case fan. Needless to say my powersupply in that system is at the bottom of case. Nuked!.. We pull out some old 350w psu and hook my motherboard the fsp powerbooster and my hdd and fans was about all that little thing could spare. No cd-rom drives. Didnt need them to play sc2 anyways.. Ran my system the rest of the night with my sli 275 gtxs raving the game like always.. Of course I've ordered a new psu but geesh glad I had a hunk of junk laying around... My Quad 6g setup stayed lanning like a champ!

Cons: None!

Overall Review: Average case has a drive bay not in use. Perfect fit. Low heat. Good cooling. Great product. No need for a 1000w psu. Thx!!!!!!!!!!

Good Memory9/25/2010 3:48:08 PM

Pros: Stable. Good moving room for overclockers. Very Cool design. I have the first models silver large heatsinks and a set of the second gens with the black. Both sets work great together. I'm getting 1150mhz out of mine on stock voltage (1.9 side) with no problems.

Cons: Very large heatsinks make cpu cooler decisions hard dependant on where your memory slots are located on your motherboard though. Efficiently cool running design. I still think I'm at stock thermals with the overclock. I cant feel any heat off those bad boys.

Overall Review: Buy it! Works good!

Manufacturer Response:
. Dear Customer Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Glad to hear the memory is running stable and is overclocking very well. The large (56mm) heatsinks can be an issue for larger CPU coolers, but there are also many great CPU coolers that can support this memory. The chips used in this kit are very much different than the DDR2-1066 or DDR2-800 PI kits. As you already know, they are capable of much better overclocks at a lower voltage. Typically high frequency DDR2 kits require over 2.10V, but this kit is capable of operating at the standard 1.80V-1.90V. If you are looking for DDR2 performance, this is surely a great kit to get. Thank you GSKILL SUPPORT Quality and customer service are our top priorities. Tech Support Email: RMA Dept Email: G.Skill Forum:
Affordable Geek, Hope Mills NC8/14/2009 1:33:33 PM

Pros: Clocks to 700 no probs under Windows 7 w Riva Tuner on a ASUS board w linked clocks enabled.. Chews thru games at high settings...

Cons: I have a Antec Skeleton Case. Its a long card.. Takes to Power Plugs.. But not really a con.. Runs a little warm but not really hott. But for the price and the warranty hey what can you argue.

Overall Review: I spank a 285GTX wo paying the price... and I have Open GL 3 technology.. :)
