Pros: awesome amount of data storage space. quick data retrieval. outstanding deal for what you get in storage capacity and data transfer speed. granted it is not a raptor or scsi drive, but honestly for its size and speed it is all one would need to do most any job. oh as far as heat i have not seen the outstanding claims of heat issues. mine is running nice and cool.

Cons: none as of yet.

Overall Review: buy it and you will like what you get for your money.

Pros: the drive size is a plus. the drive works great as a sata 1 drive. one of the smartest things maxtor did was to make the drive sata 1 & 2 compatable. also the 16megs of onboard cache really helps the drive access data fast.

Cons: the drive does work. only problem is when it comes to windows fully recognizing the drive. i constantly had to tell windows to find the hard drive. this problem is due to the interaction between windows and the nforce 4 sli chipset which controls the standard sata 2 ports. bare in mind i am running an asus A8N-SLI DELUXE motherboard. i am not implying that it is either asus's fault or maxtor's fault in anyway that the drive is not working properly. i think it is due to the fact that the technology needs some refinement when it comes to the SATA 2 drives interfacing with the chipsets and windows.

Overall Review: newegg was really great in helping with any and all problems. thanks again newegg for such great customer service.

Pros: great case with great air flow to keep all your internal components cool. plus I love how they have ported the case for liquid cooling or even refrigerant.

Cons: wish it came with a second hard drive rack but definitely not a deal breaker.
