Fantastic Portable Solution!

MSI Optix MAG161V 15.6" Full HD 1920 x 1080 60 Hz Mini HDMI, USB-C Portable Monitor
MSI Optix MAG161V 15.6" Full HD 1920 x 1080 60 Hz Mini HDMI, USB-C Portable Monitor

Pros: - Perfect size for my 15.6" laptop- 1920x1080p resolution matches laptop- HDMI and DisplayPort capable- Doesn't require external power supply- Comes w/ magnetic cover/stand- Fairly lightweight

Cons: - Only 60Hz refresh rate- Not a touchscreen

Overall Review: I frequently use my laptop for work when not at a desk and had to keep a bulky secondary monitor on a folding table when I needed the additional monitor space. I purchased this monitor as a more convenient alternative and it has greatly worked out. W/ the magnetic folding stand, I can place the monitor in almost any location and it's small lightweight design keeps it from getting in the way while working or gaming. It even comes w/ the correct USB-C and Mini HDMI cables.A note for perspective buyers, I did specifically select an MSI monitor because I have a MSI GL65 laptop that come w/ a USB-C power port. Both being MSI meant the monitors were very similar (the only real difference being the refresh rates).#MSIMonitorAmbassador

Exactly What I Was Looking For!

MSI Optix MAG342CQRV 34" UWQHD 3440 x 1440 (2K) 1ms (MPRT) 100Hz 2 x HDMI, DisplayPort AMD FreeSync Curved Gaming Monitor
MSI Optix MAG342CQRV 34" UWQHD 3440 x 1440 (2K) 1ms (MPRT) 100Hz 2 x HDMI, DisplayPort AMD FreeSync Curved Gaming Monitor

Pros: - Reasonably priced- Good refresh rate- Sleek design- High resolution- Good number of modern inputs

Cons: - No way to control via software

Overall Review: I wanted this monitor for a WFH and gaming setup that would work w/ multiple devices. I keep this monitor connected to an HDMI switch connected to two work laptops as well as my gaming desktop. It is my first ultrawide monitor that was meant to replace two 23" inch 1920x1080p monitors. The wide screen and higher 1440p is a perfect replacement. And the HDMI2.0 connector allows me to utilize the 100Hz refresh rate while gaming. The only issue I had w/ the monitor was that the original press announcement said the monitor would be able to be controlled using software, but since the monitor does not have a USB connection to the PC this cannot happen. This would've been a nice to have, but since I don't change monitor settings very often it isn't difficult to use the built in menu.#MSIMonitorAmbassador
