Pros: You get an Intel Core Quad processor, huge hard drive, 4 GB RAM, ample PS, the SLI capable MB with a 9600 GT GPU (SLI bridge included), 2 optical drives, plenty of USB ports - front and back, and 2 network connections in an attractive case, and Windows Vista 64 OS - all for under $750.00 shipped! We ordered two of these for our sons for Christmas. They're VERY happy with them. Runs all of their games without a hitch. Mouse and keyboard have a very comfy finish. Digital / VGA adapters included for use with any monitor. Excellent expandable / upgradable gaming computer for the price!!!
Cons: Optical mouse is curved a bit too much for my big hands (a bit awkward for me), but functions very well.
Overall Review: The tower / case is fairly substantial and didn't fit under the desks the boys use. Measure the desk you'll be putting this in / on / under before ordering. Order was placed on Sunday evening and the units arrived on Tuesday - two days later - in perfect condition. NewEgg's speedy shipping can't be beat.
Pros: Good capacity, Suprisingly good speed, Good price. Works well at the highest resolution settings on our Panasonic HDC SD60 camcorder. Seems to be extremely fast. This memory card will provide you more recording time (at the highest resolution) than two fully charged batteries will. Very pleased so far.
Cons: None so far
Overall Review: Typical fast Newegg shipping.
EVGA GeForce 9500GT 1Gb SLI card
Pros: Good price, SLI capability, Large dedicated memory, Easy installation.
Cons: Older technology/architecture. No SLI bridge included with the cards. Poor installation instructions (no diagrams) - searched unnecessarily for a dedicated PS plug location - there isn't one.
Overall Review: I bought two of these cards from NewEgg (usual 2 day delivery - outstanding!) to replace 2 failing GeForce 7800GTXs on an older system. Couldn't beat the price to keep my old system operable, and the benchmark is VERY close to what I had with the much more expensive 7800GTXs (they were $489.00 each when new - 5 years ago). Cards are quiet, take up less room than the 7800GTXs, so they allow for better air movement inside the case. I didn't expect miracles from these cards, and I wouldn't recommend this card over the 9600GT or newer series' cards, but they're very capable at running most of my programs (and most of my games at respectable frame rates) and I'm very satisfied with the price:value. Good budget card for systems that don't have huge/intense graphics demands.
