Pros: This thing is SO easy to use. Win10 instantly recognizes it. I use this to store files in external drives, as well as doing drive wipes. Sabrent knocked it out of the park. If it were any better, it might even surpass microwave popcorn.
Overall Review: I would recommend this for occasional use. There are other units available for a more "24/7" level of activity. BUY it.
Pros: I was surprised it was so light. Very well packaged. No cosmetic or structural defects. As the cable management was underwhelming, it did provide a challenge to find ways/routes for running the cables.
Cons: Cable management not good, no grommets. An extra inch in height would allow CPU power to snake over the top instead of internally in the case. Installing a Hyper 212 was a no go as it was too tall (mostly the MB placement of the socket). An extra 1/2 inch in width would enable better CPU cooler options. The side panel attachment screws were a bit dicey. Unable to place a second top fan (back most position).
Overall Review: For the price paid and the "features" it has, this case is a good value. I would recommend purchasing this case. I would also recommend NOT trying to exceed its capabilities. Rosewill made a good product and delivered as promised.
Pros: I needed something better than the onboard audio. This was it. Installation of card and software was a breeze. Creative Labs had been my go to for sound. This unit delivers. We shall see long term as well.
Cons: Not really a con. I wish the plug in ports were color coded.
Overall Review: I would buy again.
Pros: Colors seem more vibrant and sharper. no image "echoing".
Cons: none thusly
Overall Review: A good buy.
Pros: Very quiet. They help keep my cpu to 30 at idle, 45 under load.
Cons: Order got "bumped" from USA as country of origin to China. Maybe they (China) had the items at time of processing. No big deal as I had two of these (new) already on hand. These will be spares or for the next build.
Overall Review: I would and will buy these again.
Pros: I bought 2 of these for the purpose of creating a RAID 1. I couldn't figure out the BIOS settings to do so. Still, they are fast with Win 10.
Cons: Not really a con, just operator error. I will figure out the RAID.
Overall Review: Great product at a fair price.
Pros: I have this as the rear fan for my build. I have it controlled by the mobo bios to about 70 percent throttle (max) to limit what little noise there is. Runs great.
Cons: Wish it were a couple dollars cheaper.
Overall Review: If you want an ML fan, this is it.
Pros: I tested this unit with a Thermaltake Power Supply tester before installing it into the case. As expected of an EVGA product, it tested fine. Will update when the system is assembled and fired up.Update 4/9/2021: Wisper quiet even when ECO mode disabled.
Cons: none anticipated.
Overall Review: Only four eggs until power up is done. Update 4/9/2021: 5 eggs it is. If it endures like my old 1200W Supernova (now 6 years and counting), I'll be happy.
Pros: Sabrent comes through again!! This unit functions so much better than what came with the ASUS motherboard, which was nothing more than the cover for the M2 slot with some thermal tape. It also looks very cool. Instal was "tab A into slot B".
Overall Review: Buy it.
Pros: Applies really smooth. Used a Grizzly spatula to spread.
Cons: Never a one.
Overall Review: Gets the job done. Buy this and the Grizzly spatula and you won't go wrong.
Pros: Great price and it's G.Skill.
Cons: Had to adjust second fan on EVO 212 (ram side) higher to clear the first slot. Hope that slot is good because I'd have to remove fan to remove the stick.
Overall Review: Will update when system is fired up.
Pros: It was "free".
Cons: Had to buy the CPU to get it. Not really a con, more of a whine.
Overall Review: Have yet to use it.
Pros: Package arrive safe and sound. Tested it with an NXT fan controller. It seemed to be quieter at 3/4 throttle. Lots of air. Buy it!!
Overall Review: Worth the money!!
Pros: I thought the Grand Canyon was large. This beastie has enough room for a time zone. On sale it was even better. Update 9/17/2017: Still chugging along. All buttons still firm and crisp.
Cons: A a couple of minor nitpicks: The large front panel cable (i.e. for USB) should be marked as such. Secondly, the side to side orientation of the 3.5" bays took a little getting used to, and 3) more space (about 3/8") on the MB backside would allow better cable routing.
Overall Review: May be retiring this unit for a newer tower with better cable management. But I will keep it in reserve.
Pros: keeps the I5 at 26C at idle. Moderate loads run about 41C. I recommend this baby!! Update 8/19/2017: Still church mouse quiet and keeping it cool.
Cons: Huge but no egg deducts. Update 8/19/2017: It is still huge.
Overall Review: It is worth every penny. While Noctuas are more expensive, the durability and performance make these a SERIOUS value add.
Pros: See title. The ease of install and set up made my day. G.Skill came highly recommended and they delivered. They will be my first choice for memory in future builds.
Overall Review: Would recommend.
Pros: This stuff works so good it make me look like I know what I am doing (previously enabled by divine intervention). On a 12 year old system getting a stock Intel fan to 212EVO cooling upgrade, I did have to repeat Step 1. As others have mentioned, the CPU looked factory fresh. After applying the Arctic Silver 5 and the 212EVO, temperatures lowered by 4 C across the board. Just follow the directions, and Arctic Silver will take care of you.
Cons: Cannot be applied to Congress.
Overall Review: The highest recommendation possible! Even the hill people are singing folks songs about it.
Pros: I can't give high enough praise for this item. I bought it for an older (circa 2006) Intel LGA 775 Core 2 Duo/ASUS P5WDH -Deluxe system. It is an XP based unit. Why the effort for an obsolete system? I have a MEGATON of older software/games that are used often. It came with an extra fan bracket, allowing a push-pull setup. It lowered temps an average of 7 centigrade from idle to full load. The instructions were clear and precise.
Update 7/02/2017: no changes. It is still giving great performance.
Overall Review: wish I bought it earlier
Pros: As you would expect from G.Skill, an easy to setup and install product. Helped give more life to an older system. Bios picked it up with no worries, system performance much smoother.
Overall Review: I have found G.Skill memory to be the easiest to work with, reliable, and best overall value.
Pros: Still chugging along after 5 months with nary a noise or performance glitch. 4/30/2017 update: She's still doing beautifully!! "If you need more power cap'n, this bairn will deliver" 7/2/2017 update: Running like a clipper ship under full sail.
Cons: none. 7/2/2017 update: Price has GREATLY increased ($204@ 3/15/2015 vs $349@ 7/2/2017) since initial purchase. I find that such an increase is NOT justified. Sort of a financial equivalent of "just a bit too much dynamite there Butch?"
Overall Review: I would highly recommend to anybody that needs one of the "biggest horse" in the barn.
Pros: This stuff works the best I have seen. It is worth every penny and more.
Overall Review: Get this product and no other.
Pros: It's Intel, performance and brutal durability. Mildly overclocked to 3.7Ghz. Nearly two years into ownership, no issues.
Cons: wish it would have been a bit less expensive.
Overall Review: If you can find one, get it. You will not regret it.
Pros: It was free, and it works great
Overall Review: Formatted it for NTFS use.
Pros: Works as advertised. Read/write speeds were acceptable.
Cons: Hardest part was getting it open. Royal pain in the backside. Not enough to remove an egg.
Overall Review: As mentioned in the Pro section, it works as advertised. Installed a Samsung 840 Pro 256GB in it. I will be using it as an additional portable storage unit. I could have gotten a USB flash drive with the same capacity, but the price of this enclosure along with having the SSD proved more economical. Besides, for me it would be harder to lose it.
Pros: Quiet, Quiet, Quiet!! I use these to provide direct cooling for the SSD's and laptop drives in my desktop. I used these to replace the fans on the Rosiwell 2.5" to 3.5" bay adapters.
Cons: The 25mm thickness did present some spatial challenges when installing them into the 3.5" drive bays on my Thermaltake Overseer tower. A simple flipping of the caddies did the trick. Not enough to justify an egg reduction.
Overall Review: These fans are hidden, so the LED bling is not required. They are pricier, but their performance, and brutal durability make a Nocuta fan my first choice.
