Good power supply - slow as hell rebate
Pros: Good power supplies so far quite and stable.
Cons: I have bought three Corsair builders series power supplies and all the rebates took at least 12 weeks. Read the rebate form 10-12 weeks. It should say "minimum 12 weeks" even if you do the online pre-registration.
Enclosure is nice but the included USB is trash
Pros: The free esata cable w/ purchase is working awesome. Already sent 300GB of data across it.
Cons: The usb cable Vantec included with the enclosure is trash. My PC would not even recognize the drive. Replaced it with a Belkin usb cable and presto drive shows up no problem. Come on Vantec if you are going to include a cable at least make sure they work. A little quality control would be nice if you want people to continue to buy your stuff.
Overall Review: I can't tell you if the included Vantec esata cable works yet (most likely not) but I'll try it in the next week or so and update my review. Vantec should replace the defective usb cable at the very least to keep customers coming back.
Pros: Its cheap with the rebate but you really have to wait a LONG time for the rebate.
Cons: Its cheap. Not the best layout, sharp edges, plastic on parts that you would like to be metal (cheap) and wait for the rebate form (10-12 weeks for "processing"). The paint job is pretty poor and the metal is thin. Its a pain to swap drives once the motherboard is in.
Overall Review: I can't say anything about the power supply because at this price I'm not willing to risk my parts with that cheap of a PSU. Give it to one of you friends that wants their PC fixed but won't pay you anything to do the work. :)
