Pros: - Price (Shellshocker, not regular)
- Decent sound (After replacing rubber buds)
- Decent battery
Cons: - Left and right not sync'ed
- Poor sound and comfort with supplied rubber buds
- Issues with touch controls
Overall Review: Remove at least one star from this review if you're buying regular price. I bought Anker bluetooth phones before and was pleased, bought these as a true wireless upgrade. Not so. Out of the box, you have to charge the holder before you can charge the buds, which took several hours. Then the right and left buds are out of sync, which must be a regular issue because Anker adds instructions to sync them up, thank goodness but a hassle no less. Then the real problem: the rubber buds so poorly designed they ruin the comfort and performance of the earbuds. They do not go deep enough into the ear canal to provide a noise-cancelling seal. All bass sound is totally lost and volume is greatly reduced. Sound is dim and tinny. Not only that but the buds are constantly wanting to fall out because the weight of the buds is balanced outside the ear and there's no seal or counter weight to hold them in. That in turn leads to issues with the touch controls, which would otherwise be a positive feature. The outside part of the buds is a flat surface which, when tapped, is used to scroll, advance, ff, rev, etc when listening to music and phone controls for accepting calls and such. Well, when you're listening to music and the buds are constantly trying to fall out, you go to push them back in and it activates the touch controls; you inadvertently jump past your music or hang up on calls. It's maddening. All this was improved when I took rubber buds off another unit and replaced the ones provided. It didn't completely solve the problem but if the replacements were themselves better I could see these buds giving much better sound quality and comfort. End of griping? No. With the custom bud job, the ear buds no longer fit in the charging case so now I have to remove the rubber parts to fit the buds back in the case for recharging. It's just a matter of time before they get lost. I'm sorry but these buds are just too much trouble to be worth even the Shell-shocker price I paid.
Pros: I had a computer speaker/subwoofer set I wasn't using and this gadget allows me to stream music from my phone. I don't think this is Anker's intended purpose but it works great!
Cons: The wiring is kinda clunky and I'm often a tangled mess but oh well. I could see this being a real problem if you're using it in your car. Also you'll need a powered USB plug not provided with the unit.
Overall Review: For a few bucks you can put an unused speaker set or soundbar to good use instead of buying an over-priced Bluetooth speaker. I also own an Anker Bluetooth ear bud set and my impression is they offer decent quality for a very good price.
Pros: Cost, sound quality, appearance
Cons: Not much at this price
Overall Review: Bought these in a package with a laptop for my daughter to use at school and dorm. They worked great right out of the box and the sound is, of course, a thousand times better than the laptop speakers. Good bass response, but I'm dinging a star because there's not much mid range or high-high. Separate bass/treble control helps and, at this price point, you can expect audiophile quality. The 1 star ding is for the list price and I wouldn't nitpick as such for the sale price that I paid. After first listen, I wished I had bought a set for myself. Oh, they work great for Pandora connected straight to my iphone via the audio cable. Again, a MILLION times better than the iphone speakers, but they better be, right? She likes the bold yellow, too, but that doesn't count much in my review.
Pros: Low cost
Cons: Lasted about 3 days. First good tug caused the insulated earphone wires to separate from the mike, leaving just a few frail exposed wires to with no or very thin insulation to hold the thing together. They kept separating after that and inevitably broke/ceased to function within a day of normal use. I could go on but what more do you need to know?
Overall Review: I have bought quite a few Rosewill products from Newegg and their value is usually phenomenal. Not this time. Design is kind of weird and manufacture was quite shoddy
Pros: Good trimmer. Holds a charge well. Concise package.
Cons: I read the reviews that the beard guide/depth selector was somewhat delicate and I can confirm that is is very fragile. The thing generally works fine but you have to take off the attachment regularly to clean the blades and that's where you're going to get into trouble. You have to squeeze and pull the attachment to get it off and the construction is so weak that after a few cleanings even knowing that I had to be very careful, it broke any way.
Overall Review: At this price, this would be a five-star trimmer were it not for the eggshell construction of the depth guide attachment. If you don't mind using a comb or if you want to trim down to the skin, go for it.
Pros: Does what I need it to do, which is connect a internet-ready DVD to my wireless network.
Cons: WPS would not connect to my ATT-Uverse wireless router, necessitating a manual connection. Had to connect wifi adapter to a PC and dig into the manual to get it connected, which might be trouble for those not familiar with setting up wireless networks. From there it went onto the DVD and, voila, works great. Other con: the wifi adapter will run on usb power without the AC adapter but will power off when you power off the device to which it's connected. This results in loss of wifi connection to the router when you power back up. This would be less of a problem if WPS worked. Use the AC adapter to stay constantly connected. Other con: I bought it on sale for 25 bucks. For retail list price of $50, I would recommend you look around.
Overall Review: Next time I will make sure I buy "Wifi Built-in" devices and not "internet ready". Caveat emptor. (Not a knock on this product, which is the solution, not the problem.)
Pros: Does what it's supposed to do
Overall Review: I've bought a few Rosewill branded products from Newegg and they always perform just as well as national brands that cost quite a bit more. Thanks, Rosewill and Newegg!
Pros: Heats water very fast, faster than stovetop or microwave.
Cons: List price a little high.
Overall Review: This purchase replaced exact the same unit that lasted me about a year before it stopped working. To me, that is decent reliability for an appliance in this price range. (I got it on special for 25 bucks.)
Pros: Cheaper than new product, upgrade from DVD to Blu-Ray, wifi built-in with no cable or wifi adapter needed
Cons: Freezes up way too often, requiring reboot (unplug power chord)
Overall Review: Bought this unit mainly for Netflix and when it works, it works fine. However, right out of the box more often than not the unit will not power up after being turned off and you have to reboot the unit by pulling the plug from the wall. Sometimes this happens after watching a show on Netflix and then trying to choose another show to watch. The reboot takes several minutes and then you have to go through the normal startup, which itself takes longer than you would expect. As far as Blu-Ray goes, it's a decent starter-level player with few extra bells or whistles. However, it does not handle your old DVDs as well as it handles Blu-Ray. DVD skips, stutters and sometimes refuses to play certain DVDs altogether. This is not a good thing for me as I have lots of old DVDs and few Blu-Ray. Overall, I would kick this unit to the curb if I had an internet-ready TV in the den and I could watch my few Blu-rays on the computer. Lastly, delivery from the Marketplace supplier was quite a bit slower than anything I ever bought from Newegg directly.
Pros: Solid construction, good price, simple design/easy to install, built in level is accurate, spacers allow you to leave a little gap space between the set and the wall if needed, some variation in stud spacing is fine despite other reviews to the contrary.
Cons: Doesn't tilt. You have to physically remove the TV from the wall to change or add wiring confiduration. Weight is supported by a single horizontal bar whereas other mounts spread the load over two bars. My 40" LCD seems well supported but a heavier plasma in the 40"-42" range may push the limits of this design.
Overall Review: List when I bought was $25 and I got 50% with a coupon. That was an excellent value. Too bad NewEgg dropped this model.
Pros: Using the card in a Sansa Clip MP3; works fine. Can access a large variety of songs without having to move files onto player and deleting them later. Can buy a lower memory capacity player and save $$.
Cons: Write speed a little slow for a Class 10 card but stil better than a typical Class 4.
Pros: Decent knit hat, the weave is finer than I expected; it doesn't itch. Warm enough for winter down south.
Cons: Took the full 7 days for shipping. Lacks the quality one would expect based on non-sale list price.
Overall Review: Review based on sale price of 2 for 8$ shipped. At that price I can't complain about anything. However, standard price of $40 is ludicrous and even the regular discount price of $30 is too high for a pair. 1SALEADAY apparently highly overvalues their products when not on sale. I also bought the pulse meter wristwatch from them on sale thinking it would be much higher quality based on the regular list price. Proceed with caution.
Pros: Does what it's supposed to do for a lot less than expensive units that are no better.
Cons: Kids keep using it as a cat toy.
Overall Review: Works as described but is very thick, bulky and unattractive. I only wear it to the gym where the heart rate monitor is helpful.
Pros: Does what it's supposed to do. Rosewill/NewEgg is way cheaper than equivalent you see at big box store. I've come to trust Rosewill to make a decent product for much less than more familiar brands.
Cons: No bells and whistles but it functions well once you figure out how to use it. You must read the instructions. It needs to be reset or recalibrated when swithing between stud, electric and metal finding modes and sometimes needs reset even if not switching modes. The process isn't difficult but it's not intuitive, either, so don't throw the manual away until you use it a few times.
Overall Review: I'm sure there are better units out there but not for this price (~$20 on sale).
Pros: Inexpensive. Good sound.
Cons: Mic seems weak. While using it with my Blackberry, everyone says they can't hear me very well. They make a good listening set and are a decent value for that alone but that's not why I bought these.
Overall Review: Looks like NewEgg is discontinuing these; no big loss. Try MEE M9P for a better set in the same price range.
Pros: Not an audiophile set but very, very good sound in this price range (<$20, $10 on sale). Sturdy-built reinforced wires, multiple ear cushions.
Cons: Highs could be brighter, lows could be lower but at this price I cannot complain.
Overall Review: Some users seem to confuse model M9 with M9P. M9 does not have a switch or microphone and is therefore less functional with cell phones and ipods than the M9P, which is basically the same set of earhones plus a microphone and one-button switch. M9P costs a little more but is worth it if that's your intended use.
Pros: Comfortable, good bass, decent highs, people say they can hear me loud and clear on the microphone. Everything I expected sound-wise.
Cons: Answer/mute button is small and hard to find when in use and you can't tell which side the button is on. Not good for in-car usage because I find myself needing two hands and eyes to locate and operate the button and I have missed calls fumbling with it. This should get better once I get accustomed to it.
Overall Review: It was discounted 30% three days after I bought it. I might have added an egg if I would have gotten the sale price.
Cons: Bass is almost non-existent and treble is tinny. I'm very surprised in a negative way because they are not what I expected from a Klipsch product.
Overall Review: I have no-name ear plugs from the dollar store that sound better. I'll give these to my kids.
Pros: EXR mode is great for digicam novices like me. It's the best auto point and shoot system I have used. Can go fully auto or different EXR modes where you can adjust ISO and such. Battery holds a good charge. Good video and you can zoom in and out while shooting. I didn't get a lot of noise that others have noted.
Cons: Still struggling to get good pics in indoor low light, unless using flash within range. May be resolved with manual settings but I am still learning.
Overall Review: Great buy for this price range, esp. on sale. If you are looking for a camera around $100, spend the extra money here and you won't be disappointed. EXR is really nice and 10X optical zoom blows away 3X you're going to get in that price range. Not many 10X pocket cams out there at this price.
