Pros: Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful!
The LEDs are bright and vivid.
The 3200mhz XMP profile works.
Cons: Only works with the latest iCUE software, which is not great... it is buggy but it’s improving.
Overall Review: Really hope the old, trusty corsair LINK would add RGB support for vengeance Pro
Pros: - White themed
- Has all the features I need for my build
Cons: - Unnecessary RGB lightings
- Doesn't have a USB3.1 gen2 header
- Not enough chassis fan headers
- Bios doesn't have a switch for SLI primary card, but can be done by disabling SLI, connecting the display to the desired card, and enabling SLI again.
Overall Review: - I bought this board for my I7 8700K. I broke my I7 7700K by accident... Since they were at the same price, I moved over to 8700K.
- Basically, I have no specific need for this board.
Pros: -Amazing looks
-Integrated with lighting control panel on the top I/O
-Very good airflow despite narrow air intake channels
Cons: -No exhaust fan
-The white color interior makes cable management very challenging due to the high contrast between components other than white and the chassis itself. People can easily spot your black cables mess around in the white background.
Overall Review: -the frame is a little bit weak without the glass panel installed, and could be easily deformed and whop. You might need to install the glass panels before carrying it around.
Pros: It’s kind of trade off between size and noise regarding the radiators.
The ML fans are super quite. Sometimes I’m wondering if they’re spinning at all!
If you’re putting you PC on the desk, you might want this. I’ve made the whole system zero rpm when cpu temperature is below 40. It’s just quite.
Cons: 360mm radiator is huge, might not fit most mid tower cases.
Cooling performance is just so so. Despite such size of radiator, the new generation pump is not very impressive. On balance mode, my 7700k @4.8GHz can still easily hit 80 degrees from time to time.
The pre-applied thermal paste is a joke, don’t use them!
Overall Review: The pump cooling performance is very similar to H100i v2. But it gives you larger radiator, so I guess it would benefit from long term intensive usage.
Pros: -Very fast connection speed.
-Strong connection to 5G signal, even separated by walls.
Cons: -It's not driver free but come with a CD. Still could be an embarrassing problem if your rig doesn't have a CD driver like in my case. (No internet connection = no driver download. No driver download = no internet connection)
Overall Review: Keep in mind, it's a wifi adapter, without Bluetooth built in and most Bluetooth adapters are actually also wifi adapters. Make sure that you don't need BT feature.
Pros: -The look
-Preinstalled case fans
-Integrated with fan speed controller on front panel, can control up to four fans
Cons: -The thumb screws on side panels are easily stripped inside. I have replaced them with third party higher quality thumb screws.
-The gaps on edges of the side panels, especially near the front, are a little bit too big that lights of case fans can come out of it.
-Lack of video card support brace or mount point for such support.
-Only two USB ports on the front.
Overall Review: If you are installing LED strips inside the frame, the rear part of the frame is too tight if you have a case fan there. And I find it even very difficult just to install a 120mm radiator on the rear.
Pros: 144hz with good price
Cons: There's a setting option called OD, stands for overdrive, which is turned to normal by default. This OD causes very serious ghosting on edges of the objects in your screen.
Yes, you can turn it off, and when it's off, everything is perfect. But, you have to do this every time is monitor startup, as the setting will reset every time you put it into standby or power-off. The panel says it's off, but it actually was set to normal.
It's a known issue, and Acer is providing a fix for it. A firmware update. However, you will have to ship the monitor to their service station for the repair!! It will take up to 10 days or half a month!!
To be honest, I haven't decided whether to keep this monitor or return it. If I'm going to keep it, the RMA would be very annoying...
Pros: unmatchable GTX1070 graphic card, capable to handle almost all games on the market.
comes with a 256 GB SSD
Cons: I7 6700HQ somewhat less powerful as I expected
The G-sync technology is annoying, and causes a shorter battery life. Totally unnecessary for current gaming
Lack of thunderbolt port
