Pros: FAST transfers. i must say, even after reading other reviews, i was pleasantly surprised to see this thing in action. it does seem to move extra-quick with larger, single files, so using zip/rar to consolidate things can be very handy for even quicker transfers.
also, the construction is really handy. while it *is* a dust & lint magnet, i am not afraid of dropping it, and the cap stays on securely.
Cons: nothing major.
there is one VERY small thing -- the body is chunky enough that it won't fit in some usb ports next door to other connections. however, this flash drive DOES include a little extender cable that does fit perfectly beside other connected cables. now of course i'm not going to carry the extension cable everywhere in my pocket, but i don't foresee this being a major issue. and, if it's that important, i can always (very carefully lol) take my exact-o knife and "slim" the rubber body down a bit. if done carefully, it should probably work fine (don't quote me on that tho!). alternatively, if very desperate, one could always simply remove the rubber casing. i don't see any need to, though.
Overall Review: i think i may be ruined now! :o) this makes other flash drives seem a bit clunky.
Pros: Fantastic display! Especially for the cost!! it's working flawlessly so far, and i'm very impressed with the clarity. the picture has a very solid presence, but is not overbearing at all.
i also really dig the little cable port hole in the stand -- when viewing the monitor from the front, this cable hole is able the bottom edge of the screen, in the stand holding the screen up. so, you don't see any cables dangling...i never thought it would make a difference to me, but it does now.
Cons: nothing so far.
Pros: works great!
Cons: none so far.
Overall Review: it's skinny, flexible, and works without problems. what more could a person ask for?
Pros: Just as advertized. It works as it is designed to (as far as i know), and lets me use my old ps2 keyboard/mouse. plus a usb extender cable gives me plenty of slack if needed.
Cons: NOTE: the following MAY NOT apply to all computers!
There is one *small* catch i've discovered: the keyboard doesn't want to work in the bios setup. i believe this is because of the usb connection -- since the keyboard/mouse are now connected via the usb bus, the usb bus drivers (or whatever) must load before the keys/mouse can work. i could be wrong here, but i suspect that few bios setups load in the usb bus.
HOWEVER -- if i need to access the bios setup, all i need to do is simply move the keyboard to the motherboard's normal, built in ps2 port. problem solved. and this doesn't bother me because when i need to access the bios, chances are i'm working on the compy, which means i've got the computer case opened up and located close to me. so this is not inconvenient.
Overall Review: if the above hitch (which may not happen on every computer) is bothersome, remember that you CAN have more than one keyboard and mouse connected to the computer at once. if the backside of the computer case is not easily accessed, it might be convenient to have a cheap or spare keyboard also connected to the normal on-board ps2 port, and parked on or near the computer case. this way there's no need to futz with cabling, and there's always a quick access terminal for the bios. kinda handy, imho.
now, would a wireless key/mouse be a little more convenient? probably...but i've found the only good wireless key/mouse sets are not cheap, and there's also the added cost of batteries. the money difference is not great in the long run, but i'm just as happy going this route, and spending the money i saved on a new hard drive :o)
Pros: good picture, runs cool (not a room heater), flexible connections, great price
Cons: none so far (bout 2 months)
Pros: FAST graphics, no problems with visuals whatsoever. really brought a little bit more vividness to my screen. i noticed.
Cons: fan is LOUD is all get-out. i work with audio recordings, and the fan noise is distracting. i now need to get a new fan to remedy this.
Overall Review: i didnt think the fan would really be that loud. but, it's all part of the game i suppose. at least other fans can be found and fit.
