Pros: I plugged it in, it was recognized, and it works to store data on. Transfers pretty fast from my SSD.
Cons: Still a 7200 RPM hard drive.
Pros: Installed windows 7 on this drive. My computer boots in 8-10 seconds, does a full restart in 20 seconds.
Cons: Somewhat limited capacity so you still need a storage drive
Pros: Fast, runs cool, easy to install, easy to overclock.
Cons: It's not free.
Pros: Nice Bios, plenty of fan connectors, stable, practical layout, easy to overclock with.
Cons: This motherboard does not have one of those adapters that you can use to easily plug in your front panel functions like your power button and such, but that isn't a big deal.
Pros: This card performs well at the advertised speeds and runs cool while doing so. My card idles at around 35 deg C, and the hottest I can get it is 55 deg C under full load for a half hour. The cooler on it is fantastic.
Cons: This card is very heavy, so even when it is locked into the PCI slot, it still moves around a little bit. This will make me nervous when transporting my PC.
Also, if you turn the fan speed on the cooler up to 100%, it is fairly noisy, but there is really no need to have the fan that high since it stays cool with the fan at 33% anyway.
Overall Review: Runs cool, performs great, stable... What more do I want?
Pros: This ram looks pretty darn cool. As far as performance goes, both sticks work great and had no errors after 7 hours of prime95 testing.
Cons: I had to go into the bios to change the timings to what they're rated at.
Overall Review: This is good ram for the price.
Pros: This case looks beautiful. The finish on the outside is stylish and sleek. The case is solid while still being relatively light. Installation and wire management is a breeze with this case because clearly they've thought of any problem that one could have while building. This case also has a spot on the top that will fit any corsair liquid cooler perfectly.
Cons: For some reason there is a firewire port provided on the front panel of this case. Who still uses that?
Overall Review: At this price, I have a hard time believing that there is a better case than this out there as far as cooling performance and efficiency of installation.
Pros: This is a good quality power supply because I plugged it in, turned it on, and it powers everything nicely. It's a power supply, what else is there to say? It's been completely stable so far.
Cons: If you're super picky as far as aesthetics go, be aware that this power supply is not modular and the casing on the cables does not go all the way to the plug. Therefore, a bit of the colored wire sticks out.
Overall Review: At this price, this one of the highest quality power supplies available.
Pros: This thing is fantastic. Takes only a few minutes to install and keeps my 3570k running at 30 C idle and 45-50 C load. Couldn't ask for better.
Cons: No real complaints. I got what I paid for.
Overall Review: This isn't a completely silent cooler by any means. The stock fans that come with it make as much noise as the average cooler fan or case fan.
It's also relatively large, so make sure your case has a place for it before ordering.
Also, it isn't free.
Pros: I bought this receiver to go with my Energy Take 5 system and Martin Logan Dynamo 300 sub. This receiver is really good for the money, and it has all of the basic essential features I need. The setup utility works great and it allows for great sound to come out of my speakers.
Cons: I rated this 4/5 because of a few very minor things that are only slightly annoying. First, the TV menu is functional, but it looks rather primitive, like it is from ten years ago. Again, not a major problem, just a little annoying. I also wish that this receiver had five binding posts instead of 2 binding posts and 3 speaker clips.
Overall Review: Overall this is probably the best receiver in this price range. Minus a few small annoyances, it is fantastic.
Pros: I just bought this sub to use in my bedroom with an Energy Take 5 system and a Yamaha V373 receiver. After watching a movie, and playing several different genres of music, I have decided that this sub was exactly what I wanted. At only half volume, this sub provides a noticeable, very crisp and clean bass sound. I could not be happier with it for the price that I paid. It won't shake your pictures off the wall, but if you're looking for a quality accurate sub that won't overpower your system and enrage the people you live with, this sub is for you.
Cons: This sub did not come with a subwoofer cable to attach it to the receiver. Luckily I had one.
Overall Review: For the money, this sub produces a fantastically clear, quality sound that compliments my bedroom system nicely.
Pros: Got these speakers today after much deliberation on which to buy. In the end I decided on buying these after looking at both Newegg and Amazn reviews, as well as reading audio forums and rating websites such as CNET and TopTenReviews. They look fantastic right out of the box with a shiny piano black finish which is very modern and sleek. I had been using a sound bar before, and when I plugged these in I was shocked at how much better the sound was. I put on the Avengers and heard new sounds in the movie I was not even aware of. These speakers are also great for music. They produce a crisp, clear sound. They are also easy to install with very simple and functional binding posts in back. It is hard to imagine finding a better system in this price range. I have them paired with a Yamaha V373 receiver and a Martin Logan Dynamo 300 sub.
Cons: I knew this before I ordered these speakers, but they do not come with wall mounts or speaker wire of any kind. This is a very minor drawback that does not take away very much from the pros of this set.
Overall Review: As I said, I can't imagine a better speaker system for this price. I am no audiophile, but I know these sound pretty darn fantastic in comparison to the sound bar I had.
Pros: They work. They sound great at low and medium volume, they're really easy to set up and look nice.
Cons: When the volume is turned up close to max, they don't get louder at all. I would prefer if they got a bit louder. Also, this is kind of a weird con, but the power plug-in is designed a bit poorly so that it doesn't fit well on my power strip. Not a huge thing but it's a bit annoying.
Overall Review: These things cost $100, so you are paying for the Bose name. I'm sure you could buy some logitech speakers for half this price and they may sound just as good to the average user.
