nice case for htpc
Pros: works great, looks good
Cons: none
Overall Review: fast shipping, arrived okay despite UPS trying to kill it....
Lies...it's not really "N"...it's trash
Pros: NewEgg gives RMA's... This was quite a dissappointment. Linksys outright lied about this being WiFi-N. It will "CONNECT" to an "N" device, but only transfers data at 6Mb/s (MAX). In laymans' terms "slower than dog snot in July" The ONLY positive is that it's relatively inexpensive...but there are BETTER "N" routers @ NewEgg for $29
Cons: Slow! This NEVER WiFi transferred files faster than 6Mb/s! Drops several times a day. Software CD is trash. Do NOT use the CD. You'll be sorry. Configure this manually. Trust me. Firmware NEEDS to be updated out-of-box or else it won't even connect with an "N" device.
Overall Review: The highest WiFi speed I've seen is 6Mb/s...and THAT is if there is no other WiFi traffic. ..although it may connect at 150Mb/s, it will not transfer data faster than 8Mb/s via WiFi between 2 'puters on the same router. The ONLY reason I bought a WiFi-N was to fileshare, this router is slower than my old Linksys WRT54G! AND it drops like an old man with narcolepsy...several times a day.
Yup- that's what it is
Pros: It didn't blow up my mobo or my devices, -that's always a good sign... I'll update this review if it doesn't last, but if it's the same as my last one, it should last as long as the mobo.
Cons: It refuses to make my morning coffee!
Overall Review: Replacing a 7 year old Rosewill DR-8500BTX. This is slightly lower wattage, and it's not black, but hey, it works peachy.
Good while it lasted
Pros: I measured increased throuput on WiFi compared to it's WiFi G predecessor
Cons: died after 18 months of daily use
Overall Review: inexpensive but effective. I'm sad that it died. It now gives me errors/ no auto connect, but AFTER I unplug the USB and re-connect, it works. Time for a replacement.
2 of 2 failed. I'll move on to another brand-
Pros: -wanting is the better part of having?
Cons: After the 12 hour ordeal of reinstalling Win7/64 SP1, and getting updater to work, then loading all my programs, BOTH units failed. I don't know who makes these, or where they come from- but- THEY ARE JUNK.
Overall Review: Both failed (2 out of 2). Both AMD Radeon SSDs can't even be seen by the BIOS, -either in UEFI or in Legacy. I'm thinking.... perhaps another brand... I gave this brand TWO tries, both failed after 12 hours. THESE drives don't seem good. I re-installed my Mushkin Chronos 60Gb SATA II, and it's working great.
Cheap is good
Pros: Low cost, very fast. JUST enough GB size for my lappy HDD replacement-
Cons: It will not levitate. It just...refuses!
Overall Review: Hey, for $50, -what can go wrong!
