Pretty Sweet9/5/2013 8:31:08 AM

Pros: This is my upgrade to an ASUS VS Series VS238H-P monitor, the most notable difference is the 3D capabilities, and with a keen eye you can get a great experience of the 144 refresh rate. I did not expect the extra inch of screen to make much difference but it does. The stand is very sturdy compared to the wobbly VS238H, and when adjusting the height it is smooth and easily done.

Cons: The speakers are what you would expect monitor speakers to sound like, no volume remote control is a hassle. Switching from PC to Console I have to go through the menu and select volume to adjust.

Overall Review: Being able to remove the 'Splendid' sticker a plus.

Pros: It does what you expect it to do. Now getting a 144 refresh rate and 3D capabilities. Bought this one for the price, and am not unsatisfied.

Cons: None

Its good!2/18/2013 10:35:52 AM

Pros: I really like this monitor, its a good size, its splendid option is pretty cool. Great price, cant beat $130 for a display like this. For anyone that is worried about the reviews of it not supporting 1920x1080 under HDMI, what I did: I have an AMD Radeon 7950 so for me, I go to my Catalyst Control Center, and select Scaling Options (Digital Flat-Panel), and turn the Overscan slider towards %0. Done!

Cons: Splendid sticker is practically permanent. No display port. No 120 refresh rate.

Overall Review: If it did, if it had both it would be $250 or more.

Pros: Coming from someone who only ever used integrated graphics computers, I wanted a card that would last. I did plenty of research before selecting the HIS7950, so I knew that 7970Ghz would be overkill on my 1 monitor setup, and I could always overclock or crossfire in the future, so $100 less is a Pro. What makes this card stand out to me was the utilization of Solid State Capacitors, %90 of the time I run my computer 24/7 so I wanted a card that would be able to live long, SSC could help keep it alive longer. This card is not heavy by any means, I noticed reviews on other 7000 series cards being bricks, not this card. It is bulky, just barely squeezed it in my Thermaltake Versa 2, however, the card does not sag or warp the mobo, totally level. I also noticed other reviews on coil whine being a problem, I havent had alot of experience with that, but this card is whisper quiet when idle. For the first couple of days it had this really annoying clicking sound under load, like processing clicks and what-not, but it was loud and annoying. But now, even playing Skyrim on Ultra+, there is slight change in fan speed and medium volume processing clicks (not a problem for me because I play with headphones).

Cons: iTurbo software doesnt work for me Doesnt support Auto-tune in Catalyst Control Center

Overall Review: At first glance HIS wasnt even on my radar, I went looking for cards with major reviews, Sapphire, XFX, MSI, all have 7000s with boatloads of sales and reviews. But I took a chance on this card that, at the time had only 4 reviews, and it was worth it! Bravo HIS... Bravo
