Pros: Been working on computer for ~18 years. Can't imagine plugging into a client's computer with a flashdrive that doesn't have a hard write-protect switch. Kanguru is just about the only company that still makes these anymore. They they now make them USB 3.0 compliant and with a 3-year warranty are icing on the cake.
Cons: $20 ($30 retail!) for an 8GB flashdrive??! Only selling at such high prices because no one else is making flashdrives with hard write-protect switch (at least not sold thru Newegg). Have a monopoly => get to charge high prices, I guess. Doesn't matter much to me, sinceI see it as a cost of doing computer work. But, I doubt if the average, non-IT person would fork out $20-$30 per 8GB when there are good quality flashdrives for about 1/4th to 1/6th the price per GB.
Write-Protect Switch
A very reliable USB 2.0 flashdrive with write-protect switch. The only flashdrives I'll use when working on infected computers. Would probably own a few more if they haven't gone up ~40-50% in a few years... For thise much, they should've thrown in USB 3.0 compatibility.
