Tee hee hee
Pros: AXMA2800FKT4C DTR mobile, worth every penny. Made sure it booted in the chips board, then imediately swapped it into a Nforce2 where its happily running at 206 x 11.5, @ 1.55v (modded bios)
Cons: The motherboard is fine for what it is, its not a big $$ board, and it won't perform like one Hardware monitor is way off the wall, ram runs at 2T command rate, and the bandwidth is, well, lets just say not worth wasting expensive ram on. Ok for a web surfing board.
Overall Review: Note: What I did voided all warranty, I knew that from the outset. If you plan on doing the same or similar, be advised. If you fry it, don't go crying to newegg, PCchips, or AMD. Its your gamble.
Oh, good fan
Pros: The heatsink itself, not bad. The fan on it, I'll remark on that in the cons section. But the heatsink with a Thermaltake smartfan running at 2800rpm, keep my XP-M under 40°c full load at 2300MHz, and its still quiet. I recomend Mr Bad cooler turn the heatsink so the notch on the bottom coresponds with the raised portion of the CPU socket.
Cons: Fan made maybe 3 rotations before dying, resulting in having to swap another fan on. Yeah, I could have RMA'd it, but the ship cost back would have come close to the price of the heatsink.
Overall Review: It was a toss up between this and an artic cooler, I chose this because of the fan and mounting problems with the artic cooling. The spire does mount easily enough, but the fan is of no better quality. I purchased this to get away from a screaming Volcano12. It keeps it just as cool without the noise.
Digital rights management
Pros: Nice burner Except: See Cons
Cons: This Burner has digital Rights Management built in. This is to stop piracy. But It was always my understanding your allowed to make backup copys of software that you purchased for your own use. This burner will not allow you to play backup copys of games and such. This Is Garbage. Risk trashing Original software that costs more than this drive. I DO NOT PIRATE, BUT I HAVE THE RIGHT TO MAKE BACKUPS!!!!
Overall Review: I Fully understand the need for DRM. But I've Also had disks get destroyed in drives. Is LiteOn going to buy me new software if their drive messes up my disk?? I think not. I own nothing but LiteOn optical drives, but this is my last one.
This stuff ROCKS!
Pros: Runs as advertised at 2-2-2 up to 217 fsb on my Nforce2 boards, 2.5-2-2 up to 227, 2.5-3-3 up to more than I care to push my Vcore on air.
Cons: Not a one so far. Highly recomend it, even if you don't overclock, the low latency's make for a snappy system.
Overall Review: UPS 3day took 7 days, sat in the louisville hub for 3 days. Still better than fedex leaving the box on the hood of my car in a rainstorm though.
Good Stuff
Comments: Not good for more than 209fsb, but works great below that, and seems to work fine in everything but DFI NF2 boards. I have a bunch of it, and my systems are extremely happy and fast with it. And as always Newegg Rocks!
THIS IS REFLASHED PC2700
Comments: This ram does not work in any Nforce2 boards at 200. Its fine if you want pc2700, but do not buy it for 200/400 systems. Tried in Abit/Asus/DFI/MSI all with the same results, Not stable, no matter what timings. But newegg still rocks!
