Pros: much quieter at idle then expected
plays WoT 45-70 max setting (only game i play)
Cons: loud as expected under load
Overall Review: arctic cooler makes it inaudible all the time
i'm rockin state of the art 2011 w/ phenom 955
power company will love me this summer
7870 was on sale july 4th only $5 more (darn it)
Pros: it had good reviews
Cons: too loud, had to rma same day and look for something else.
Pros: vewy vewy quite
67 bucks on sale
Cons: My Scythe heatssink and case fans are too loud now.
My perfectly good HHD will have to be replaced with a SSD.
Overall Review: Everyone wants gold or settles on bronze for the budget
This is the sweet spot.
I wasted almost as much as this cost doing RMA's on 3 high priced psu's the tech blog's raved about being silent before finding this one.
Pros: and it did work
Cons: Too Loud
Overall Review: quieter psu's out there for much less
Pros: Cheap at 35$ when bought with promo code and rebate
Ample power for most single gpu applications.
Quite while web surfing, ms office ect...
Cons: Unbearably LOUD while gaming, Louder than any graphics card or other fans in pc by far.
Not worth even $35 if you want to hear yourself think.
Overall Review: My pc only consumes 350-370w while gaming. (phenom 955 and radeon 6770)) and it's LOUD
This will be on auction site soon if you want it really cheap.
Pros: Keeps my Phenom 955 95w version cool and quite, 48°C gaming, 34°C surfing.
Overall Review: I initially had purchased the 2 pipe ST200 also rated at 95w which did do the job. It ran hotter then the oem heatsink. Don't buy that one.
The Logisys website and the packaging rate the 400 ST at 125w, I'm not sure about that based on my experience from the 200 ST.
I almost dropped another $100 for a new psu thinking the screaming fan noise under stress was coming from it but it was the oem heatsink. My gpu budget just went up $100.
Pros: batteries included
Cons: No instructions about use of dpi switch. No difference noticed when using it. Tracking not smooth.
Overall Review: The only thing I noticed the dpi switch does do is move web pages forward and back when surfing. That might be nice, but using the icons never bothered me.
My standard old $20 non-gaming logitech's and MS were better for gaming. Guess I'll just get another of those.
Pros: Fastest 95w gaming chip from AMD available
Fair price, they could be charging a premium for these.
Cons: I'll never be able to upgrade on this board again, have to go Intel next time.
Overall Review: special ordered from amd though another vendor last week and was told discontinued just today and now here it pops up on the Egg again.
Plays all games I've tried including the Dirt3 that came with it excellent.
Cons: Power Color makes a passive 6850 I would have bought had I known at the time.
Overall Review: I am knew to video games but I knew that I did not want to hear a card fan and other cooling fans that I've heard on other peoples machines. Also I did have a pc in the past that I upgraded with a graphics card with a fan that died after two years and ended up using the onboard vga. This hopefully will last until the rest of my machine is outdated.
Measure before you buy, I had to do a little case modification to a brand new HP Pavillion but it still looks right at home in my office.
Pros: best price I've found even before the free delivery, i would have paid more at a big box store plus used gas to get them
Cons: none, they work fine
