Solid Choice
Pros: I'm not going to test the actual read/write speeds on this as my only concern is my perception of how my digital device I have this in functions while I'm using it. So far so good, pictures load on my Canon SD700 IS very quickly. I bought two of these as I didn't like the brand choice for the 4GB SD cards or their reviews. Both worked which is definitely a plus since one of my two microSD cards I recently purchased arrived DOA.
Cons: None so far, SanDisk hasn't let me down with these.
Overall Review: Relatively inexpensive for the speed rating and a solid brand name you can trust.
Nice Concept - Fails to Deliver
Pros: It is an inexpensive color laser MFP.
Cons: Out of the box it had printing issues with horizontal bands/lines across the entire page. I took it to an authorized repair center after spending some time on the phone with Samsung tech support. It took 3 weeks for the repair center to get a replacement drum from Samsung. After I got the printer back, it printed fine. I was excited to now setup the scan to email and receive faxes via email functions. I set everything up, and it failed repeatedly. I did some trouble shooting with different settings and failed again and again. I called tech support, and they had no clue as to what the printer was even capable of. I hinted at one option I didn't see available that most mail servers require.. SSL.. and the guy came back and said that's the issue, the printer doesn't support mail servers that use SSL. Good luck finding a mail server that doesn't use SSL.
Overall Review: I bought this because I didn't want to use efax or some other monthly service to have faxes sent to my email address, that was THE deciding factor. I hope Samsung fixes their horribly designed scan to email and fax to email functionality with some firmware update or something...
50/50
Pros: Very fast compared to the system memory on my BlackBerry 8310. When I would take pictures before I installed the card, it would take several seconds for the picture to finish loading and let me do anything with it. After installing this card I was able to take a picture and within 1-2 seconds it was loaded and ready for me to send or save.
Cons: I ordered two which is why I titled this 50/50. One arrived DOA. I thought I was doing something wrong since my BlackBerry wouldn't recognize it or allow me to format it. After trying the handy USB adapter I found out from plugging it into my laptop that it was simply dead and not an ID 10 T error. I'm hoping to soon have my second one so I can test it out in my GPS and see if my GPS loads maps more quickly now.
Overall Review: This was my first RMA since I started shopping at Newegg in 2002 and I am quite pleased with the ease of the process and ability to check online to see where it's at (stage 3, can't wait!).
