Most Favorable Review

The second works as good as the first

Zonet ZFS3008P Ethernet Switch w/Auto-MDIX / Plastic Version
Zonet ZFS3008P Ethernet Switch w/Auto-MDIX / Plastic Version

Pros: Works very well with the first one that I bought. Latency on uploads and downloads, and file transfers are not visible. Activity blinking, individual station connection lamp, and individual 100 meg port speed indicators a plus. Does not have 10mbs lamps. I guess if 100mbs is not on, you are at 10?

Cons: It only weighs a very few ounces, and there is no provision for mounting on plywood or other surface. At this price can not complain. Using stick on velcro and leaving some air channels eliminates that problem. (There are air vents on the bottom to cool the switch. Do not shut off the air flow if you velcro.)

Overall Review: Using in home network where DSL is fed from structured closet to office. One Zonet is in office to feed all of the ethernet connections there, then I backhaul a feed from the Linksys router/switch to the structured closet. That feed goes to the second Zonet switch that I just installed for the other PC's in the house. BTW, This switch is not designed for large commercial networks. The MAC table could have a meltdown. Besides, non IP managed switches on a large network is just not smart, anyway. For small networks, this switch is fantastic. I would buy a third in a heartbeat. The first one has been up 24/7 almost three years.

NETGEAR WNCE2001 Universal Wi-Fi Internet Adapter Wireless 802.11b/g/n Ethernet Port / Connect Wifi to LCD-TV, Game Console and Blu-ray Player
NETGEAR WNCE2001 Universal Wi-Fi Internet Adapter Wireless 802.11b/g/n Ethernet Port / Connect Wifi to LCD-TV, Game Console and Blu-ray Player

Pros: It still works, but not with the Netgear Power Brick.

Cons: When the device power brick gets warm, after about an hour it will fail to function correctly, and you start to deal with dropouts from the network. THE SOFTWARE WILL NOT REPORT THIS AS AN ISSUE. Windows did, and there were other duh, obvious things. This started after only a few days and I was dumb enough to give a glowing review too soon.

Overall Review: The number of devices that I have bought over the past couple of years that have failed due to failed bricks is approaching insane. The spare brick supply I have built up over the years is starting to dwindle quickly.

A good mistake

G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-1600C9S-8GSR
G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-1600C9S-8GSR

Pros: Had a motherboard fail after two years, first one ever from that particular company. Bought 8 gigs in a hurry thinking it was a two unit memory, then later saw it was a one unit memory.....rather than pitching a fit over my own mistake ordered another unit and went 16gb for the new 4690k and z97 motherboard. Matchup was fine. Shows 16gb system memory. They both work fine which is always the first concern.......

Cons: As with many, will have to tweak the bios to get to 1600 speed instead of 1333. Why can't the memory guys and mobo builders get their stuff together over this issue?

Overall Review: No eggs off as it is tough to decide who to ding and I know I can fix it, but please guys, get your friggin act together!!!!

great case ups damge

Fractal Design Node 804 Black Window Aluminum/Steel Micro ATX  Cube Computer Case
Fractal Design Node 804 Black Window Aluminum/Steel Micro ATX  Cube Computer Case

Pros: Best cube case going for MATX. Great for any MATX build, many drive easy modular 8 hard drives plus SSD's reat server case....dead quiet fans.

Cons: Really none but UPS

Overall Review: UPS damaged it upper left corner They suck but soon every delivery they make will be on camera and NewEgg will get a copy when I want refunds OK???????UPS has run over my driveway lights and damaged more property than they woud ever admit to....enoug his enough

very good for special uses

Microsoft Wireless All-In-One Media Keyboard (N9Z-00001), Black
Microsoft Wireless All-In-One Media Keyboard (N9Z-00001), Black

Pros: For specialty uses, this is a great keyboard. I use this in my hobby room, where space is at a premium. The range is good, and I have already spilled a half bottle of brew on it without any ill effect or stuck keys. (I did clean up right away, yet ruined other keyboards with a soda spill.) The keys are well formed with a positive feel.

Cons: There are some things many people would not like yet do not affect me....see other thoughts.

Overall Review: There are no risers for the keyboard, which if using for media or in my hobby room is a positive as they would get broken off sooner or later. There is no number pad, which again for media or my hobby room would be a negative and just take up more room anyway. The touch pad works pretty much as described and can eliminate the need for a mouse and performs the multi-gesture stuff in windows 8.1 just fine. The keys are a little tight to type a thesis but just fine for a emails etc. As a media or specialty keyboard as it is labeled it is a five. For a travel keyboard, it would also fuction quite well. For an everyday keyboard, I prefer the slightly curbed blutooth Microsoft keyboard.

good RAM

G.SKILL 4GB 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Laptop Memory Model F3-12800CL11S-4GBSQ
G.SKILL 4GB 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Laptop Memory Model F3-12800CL11S-4GBSQ

Pros: Well marked unlike the RAM that came with new laptop which was stated by Acer to be 10666 which did not sound right.....see other thoughts....Popped right up dual channel at 1600 with the unmarked Hyundai RAM 4 Gig chip that came with laptop. The Gskill had the same specs shown in CPUZ and PC Wizard as the Hyundai and they matched up on boot perfectly. Had good luck with GSKILL mixing with other MFR RAM. All is good.

Cons: Prices going up on all RAM

Overall Review: Do not believe what you read if you know adding RAM is going to be needed. Acer sent the wrong info to all retailers and speed not on laptop box. Had to take it home and fire it up with CPUZ and PC Wizard to find it was 1600 RAM. I then ordered from the egg and worked out well. Moral of story. If you buy extra RAM in a store with a laptop do not open it until making sure what is in the machine.

Not worth the wait

Not stated in ad until after purchase to be shipped from China eventually. I have other 5.0 dongles that do have a range close to 20 meters. This one might make 10. Since the added range was highest priority this was just wasted money.
