Great CPU
Pros: Cheap, quiet, and dual core capable! Unlocked to Regor Athlon II X2 440 with a GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H board in a minute!
Cons: None so far!
Overall Review: The CPU is fairly cost effective under $40. I am not a gamer, but need to process some computational data from time to time. The CPU runs at 2.7GHz stably. I am not really interested in overclock. The default clock with 2 cores is good enough to me. With this price, I won't complain anything at all.
Pros: * ASUS does a good job to fine tune their software. The speed is satisfactory, and I have no complain about their software. * The display is excellent and better than I expect. * The built quality of the whole tablet feels great. ZenUI is great! * I am a fan of ASUS!!!!
Cons: * The battery life is not long enough. I only use it for email, browsing internet, Pandora, and other light weight tasks. I'd say it probably only last for 4 hours without any intensive jobs. I can feel some spot really heats up after 5 minutes. * Poor memory management is the worst part of this tablet. I always have 100 ~ 140 MB left while only opening email and browser. Though the cleanup function is handy, but I need to constantly monitor the usage of memory before the tablet becomes too slow. I don't know whether this is caused by Android or I should blame ASUS. * Again, ASUS does a good job in fine tuning their software. However, the performance is somewhat poor while using software not from ASUS. For instance, I used to use Chrome or Firefox on another tablet, which runs fine. While running them on this tablet, they are sometime not so responsive. Again, I am not pretty sure whether this is caused by Android or ASUS.
Terrible Refurbished Item
Pros: High resolution. Excellent display. Decent battery life. Fast and easy to operate. By far the best tablet I've ever used --- when it was working.
Cons: The touch screen died within a month.
Overall Review: I purchased this item from a different source. I was using it for most of basic office works, such as email, calendar, and other Google services. I really love it when it is working. I don't really like all the tablets that I used before, but Nexus 7 really changed my impression of Android devices. However, when I started to believe Asus has really done an excellent job, this tablet proved that I was wrong....... All of a sudden, the touch screen failed to respond!!! The tablet was not dropped or hit by anything. I just pressed the power button and tried to wake it up from sleep. Then the touch screen just died!!! I tried to reset it to factory setting and hoped this is a software problem. I was in no luck. All I can do is to power it off and change its volume (for what?). Other than that, it is just a rechargeable brick.....
A piece of junk
Pros: Cute and compact size!
Cons: Extremely unstable! I bought it from other vender. It worked first time when it boots up. After I left for 5 minutes, it dropped connection. I hard rebooted this thing then it would come back. However, as soon as I let it idle for few minutes. The connection dropped. It totally wastes my money!
Trash......
Pros: None. It is one egg because I cannot give 0.
Cons: DOD. Can't say anything good at all. What's worse is that I need to pay to ship it back for replacement!
Too bad......
Pros: None.
Cons: It does not work at all on my ASUS M4A785M. I found out this card has problem with this motherboard after I received it. Too bad this is the only machine that I need to have an additional network card, and I ordered it because of its good review...... I should do more homework......
Overall Review: If you are using M4A785M, find something else. Don't waste you time and money on this card......
