Purely awesome

ASUS M4A78 Plus AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard
ASUS M4A78 Plus AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: I got this motherboard mainly for the price and that it looked nice, and that I had like tons of DDR2 ram just collecting dust in my closet my father had given me over time. Now I got it perfectly fit in my Antec300 case with an AMD Phenom II 3.1 GHz processor with 6 GBs of RAM, One 650 GB SATA hard drive, and two IDE 250 GB (All 7200 RPM and 32 MB cache for the SATA one), and a GeForce 8400 GS hooked up with it. So far, I have absolutely no problems with it; simply put, it's just awesome.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: Works really well with Windows xp Pro SP3 and my Windows 7 Ultimate RC. Have NOT tested it with Vista (I hate Vista anyway).

Most Critical Review

Audio ka-put.

ASRock 970 EXTREME3 AM3+ AMD 970 + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
ASRock 970 EXTREME3 AM3+ AMD 970 + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Crossfire support Decent BIOS Lots of overclocking potential. Supports the FX AMD cores. Cheap.

Cons: This is literally the 363rd day that I've owned this board, and for the past week, my sound has completely gone out on me. I've heard a lot of reviews and thread posts about this mobo having dead audio, and now I'm experiencing it myself. It's infuriating because I cannot get my older sound cards to work with it either. Also, the secondary PCI Express slot is loose, and wiggles around. Very inconvenient for my large Nvidia 285GTX water cooled card; it just sags there, and I have to support it upright with a rigged wire-to-case setup. Very inconvenient.

Overall Review: Was a decent motherboard until a week ago when suddenly -no more sound-! I am very unhappy, and will be going back to ASUS for my boards. I gave ASRock a shot, but I'm reluctant to try ASRock again.

REQUIRES the stupid REMOTE to do anything.

Asiahorse ARGB 5V Motherboard Sync/Analog PWM Controller 20 Addressable LEDs 120mm Hydraulic Bearing Case/Radiator Fan(5 Pack)
Asiahorse ARGB 5V Motherboard Sync/Analog PWM Controller 20 Addressable LEDs 120mm Hydraulic Bearing Case/Radiator Fan(5 Pack)

Pros: Looks nice Decent quality for the price point Has all sorts of RGB effects

Cons: Requires the stupid, dumbest "feature" I've ever seen on an RGB kit to do -anything- at all with it. You'll get a little cheap remote with your kit, and you have to use that every single time the computer wakes up, powers on, etc to set your fan speed and RGB lightning/effects or sync to the computer's RGB header. Extremely, extremely stupid. Completely makes it pointless to put in a computer. Your computer's motherboard RGB header does NOT control the fan lighting/effects. The stupid remote does. I've never seen this before.

Overall Review: I would not recommend this to anyone. You are -forced- to use the remote included to do anything, and the fan headers are unique and are unsable with anything else.

Worst AMD card I've ever had

GIGABYTE Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB GDDR6 PCI Express 4.0 x16 ATX Video Card GV-R55XTGAMING OC-8GD
GIGABYTE Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB GDDR6 PCI Express 4.0 x16 ATX Video Card GV-R55XTGAMING OC-8GD

Pros: Can hold down paper

Cons: All of the 5x00 series of AMD cards have issues with stuttering, screen tearing, and has TERRIBLE support for OpenGL which half the gaming community out there uses. I have piles of video cards on my shelf old and new, and every single one of them out-performs this hunk of junk, including my 10 year old 8800 GTX and THAT says something.

Overall Review: And of course I'm right outside of the RMA period, OF COURSE. So this thing has been a TOTAL waste of my hard earned money. I will never buy another AMD card again for any of my personal or professional setups.

NOT DDWRT OR OPENWRT SUPPORTED!

NETGEAR WNDR4300-100NAS N750 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router - Premium Edition, DD-WRT Open Source support, IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n, IEEE 802.3/3u/3ab
NETGEAR WNDR4300-100NAS N750 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router - Premium Edition, DD-WRT Open Source support, IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n, IEEE 802.3/3u/3ab

Pros: It works as a generic router.

Cons: Newegg advertises that this is DD-WRT compatible and open source....IT IS NOT! WNDR4300v2 is NOT supported by ANY WRT open source software. I bought this router because it was advertised as a DD-WRT supported router...and when I researched it, I found that it indeed was...or so I thought. Only WNDR4300v1 is DD-WRT supported....NOT v2. Now I'm stuck with a router with the worst router Netgear software that has barely any capability of doing anything other than being a generic router with limited and restrictive software. I am very, very upset with this and have wasted time, money, and effort on this that I would have completely avoided if the advertisement wasn't false.

Overall Review: I've always had bad luck with Netgear routers...mostly because of their horribly limited software (I've had dozens over the years), and I usually stick to Dlink and Linksys, but since this was advertised as a DD-WRT supported router, and had good reviews for v1, I was influenced by the false advertisement of this product and ordered it. Big mistake...will not happen again. Very disappointed.

Awesome computer case~

Antec Three Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Antec Three Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: I must say, this is one of the best cases I've seen, especially for its price. Very simple, yet sleek, cool case. I'm also very impressed with the air flow it has, unlike my older cases. It has kept my computer real nice and cold, compared to others I've used and seen. Very nice, black (lol), cheap, and reliable.

Cons: Nothin' bad at all about this case~
