Pros: Popped it in, configured it in the OS and it works great.
Pros: This is my second FD harddrive. It's a nice size and has run without a snag. Great!
Overall Review: The rebate program is a royal pain. Don't select the "Quickpay" option which allows you to be paid online via Paypal and/or Quickpay. The fine print says that you will forfeit 5 dollars for using an online payment - what a ripoff! Plus, there is no clarification that the email you enter ought to be the same as your Paypal account. So I'm assuming the company is counting on: 1. Not giving you the rebate because the wrong email was given 2. Stealing 5 dollars 3. Sending the item is an generic looking "junk mail" envelope so you are likely to throw it away.
Just my suspicions. GREAT PRODUCT aside from the rebate being annoying.
Pros: Perfect. Glossy white CDS. The only graphic to be seen is the "Verbatim CD-R" type on the clear, inner ring. The surface is great for writing on. Highly recommended.
Cons: I would prefer if the white surface extended all the way to the center of the disc.
Pros: Works well.
Cons: Comes packaged in a trashy, pornographic box. I ordered a cooling pad, not a stripper.
Pros: This puppy is useful for protecting my laptop on the go. The prongs fold in so you don't rip your bag.
Pros: Unit looks well assembled. There are plenty of cables and they are grouped together nicely in funky sleeves to keep the case from being overrun with loose wires.
Cons: After nearly one year of flawless performance this sucker literally lit my tower up. There was a loud electrical exploding noise, unbelievably bright sparks and even smoke (for effect).
I'm relieved that my other components were not damaged and that our house didn't catch fire. Seriously, this thing appears to be a major hazard and I'm not going to bother pursuing any Enermax warranty replacements which could also explode when I'm not around. Sadly, I can't endorse this product.
Overall Review: Wish I had the whole thing on video tape.
Pros: Works well without much hassle. Good support for SATA and old school. Cool paint job/metal, too bad it is in the back of my tower.
Cons: See 'Other Thoughts'. No real cons so far.
Overall Review: When I pulled the power supply out of the box I mistook the four pin connector next to the main motherboard connector for the processor power line. This didn't work. In the accessory box there is an adapter to adapt one of the six plug connectors down to four pins. Once I did that it was fine.
Pros: The two existing harddrives I had setup as a RAID were getting full so I needed an extra internal harddrive for storage space. This worked smoothly. One note: I didn't realize that an SATA connection takes the four pin connector, the sata connector and a 'data' connector. Once all three of these were plugged in it worked great.
Cons: Non so far.
Comments: It's fast, it's sturdy, it's narrow, it's made out of metal, it has a cool blue light.
Comments: This motherboard rocks! It would have been a breeze to install, even the onboard RAID. However, my OS was setup on old RAID drivers and XP would not boot off the new motherboard. I ended up having to reinstall my OS (which I was prepared to do). So back up your vital info, before installing this puppy if you are going to play with RAID. Unless there is another solution which I'm not aware of. Regardless, excellent MB. PS put the RAID drivers on a floppy before installing.
Comments: Upgraded from GeForce Ti 4400. I'm able to max out all settings on any game so far. The heatsink was my original interest in the product and it is a sight to behold. Just make sure you are willing to sacrifice 1, even two PCI slots to fit it. Great Card, shipped on time.
