HP TouchPad Wi-Fi 32GB Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core APQ8060 (1.2GHz) 1GB Memory 9.7" 1024 x 768 Tablet - Black HP webOS 3.0

Pros: I think it's the best tablet you can get for this price. It has a great screen and very good speakers, which alone makes it better than most tablets at this price. Dual core processor oc'd to 1.5 ghz is definitely fast enough. WebOS is very nice software, very easy to use.

Cons: WebOS lacks severely in the apps department. Many reports of cracks around speakers, though none on my two units yet. It's a bit heavy compared to newer, more expensive models, though not a problem for me or the kids. The refurb Touchpad I got from Newegg does have a bit of light bleeding on one side, noticeable when the screen is very dark. Also, it seems to creak a bit. My other Touchpad is rock solid. So its not "like new" condition, but it's acceptable for the price paid.

Overall Review: I bought a new Touchpad in August of last year at the firesale price of 100 bucks. It was a fantastic deal, but it didn't get a lot of use due to the lack of apps. I've recently installed the CM9 alpha 2 version of Android Ice Cream Sandwich and its a whole new ballgame. It gets used constantly, such that I needed to buy another tablet. I ended up buying this refurb from newegg. The kids have unlimited new games to play. I installed Plex and now they can watch any of their movies streamed from my desktop. and of course, Netflix works great. Absolutely recommend the CM9 install, you've nothing to lose (it's dual boot, so still have WebOS if you want it) and a whole lot to gain.
