G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066

Pros: easy to install. looks cool and runs cool.
Cons: bios on my foxconn a7da-s doesnt autodetect them as 1066 modules, and throws them at 800 mhz, have to set it manually to 1066mhz and running them at the stock 5-5-5-15 timings makes them unstable (unusually since thats their rated speed), and to make them work properly i had to increase the volts from the stock 2.2 to 2.5 volts to get them to run stable. after that no problems, very good memory
Overall Review: could be cheaper
By Far the Most Unstable RAM I've purchased

Pros: It's 8 GB in two sticks
Cons: By far the most unstable RAM I've ever purchased. Can't even pass two minutes of memtest86 without tons of errors. Increased the timings, increased the voltage of NB and ram a bit, fooled with the northbridge frequencies, set it to 1333mhz and still will not last more than 20-30 minutes in windows without either a hard lockup with looped sound or a BSOD. I even placed a fan on top of them because they felt extremely hot to the touch but to no avail.
Overall Review: The 4 GB kit from adata I purchased a year ago is still going strong
Faulty USB ports twice in a row ruin an otherwise power packed laptop

Pros: -Light -Form factor and design -Fans do not make that high pitched annoying whine even at max speed, unlike other gaming laptops -144 Hz screen actually has good colors unlike the competing 240 Hz laptops -Toggle dedicated gpu and integrated as well as hybrid without a reboot!!! -No bloatware
Cons: -TWO units with faulty usb ports. TWO. That is enough to stray away from this model entirely. -My unit had two faulty usb ports on the right side, which caused a device disconnect and reconnect all the time, resulting in the mouse freezing up, and if headphones are plugged in, the device to reset back to the onboard speakers. This would happen by simply barely moving the cable near the jack while it's plugged in. -Proprietary nvidia gsync graphics chip which cannot be updated through Geforce experience or nvidia's website. -Keyboard is extremely finicky and requires you to press the keys in a very specific way to get them to register, some keys worse than others. Will update review if replacement unit has the same problem -No battery charge limiter feature. Always charges to 100% which is bad for the battery if you wish to keep it plugged in all the time which a gaming laptop will be. I have a laptop that never was taken off the charger since new, and after a few years I actually needed to use it wirelessly. The second I unplugged it, it shut off as the battery was completely shot. -Speakers are located on the bottom of the unit which doesn't make any sense. The sound is blocked by your lap, desk, or anything under the unit. This results in a lackluster and low volume listening experience.
Overall Review: -Do NOT recommend
4000 CL16 at an affordable price

Pros: -4000 CL16 with 32 GB instead of 16 GB
Cons: -Heatspreadder is cheap and thin compared to all other kits of DDR4 and even DDR3 I have used
Overall Review: -Highly recommended for anyone on an Intel system
Works all right on Ryzen 3000 after tweaking

Pros: -Will run at 3766 CL14
Cons: -Requires a lot of voltage to tighten the timings at lower clock speeds
Overall Review: -Probably not worth the price premium
Requires 1.45 V to even reach 3200 MHz, past that is impossible

Pros: -Hefty heatsinks -Includes sticker
Cons: -Unstable at anything past 3200 mhz -Requires 1.45 V to even post at 3200 mhz -At 3200 MHz, can't even get CL14 without instability
Overall Review: Highly recommend finding another brand or kit if you are intending to use this on a Ryzen 3000 + X570 board
