ASUS MAXIMUS IV EXTREME LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Extended ATX Intel Motherboard
ASUS MAXIMUS IV EXTREME LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Extended ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: An amazing performing board with superior design and features, this is by far the best mobo I have ever had in my system. For a more detailed explanation of the layout and what makes this the P67 flagship, see the review I did on my SirJamesDTech YouTube Channel entitled Asus Maximus IV Extreme Review.

Cons: The PCIe x1 slot is positioned below the top PCIe x16 slot. I had hoped we were past this design flaw. Only one CrossFire bridge is included, which seems a bit unfair since a Tri SLI bridge is packed.

Overall Review: I am so impressed with this product, Asus is now the leading motherboard manufacturer in my opinion. A true work of art. - BOARD: Asus Maximus IV Extreme - CPU: i7-2600K Sandy Bridge - CPU Cooler: Corsair H70 - GPU: 2x Asus GTX 580 OC Edition in SLI - SSD: 2x OCZ Vertex 2 60GB RAID 0 - STORAGE: 2x WD Caviar Blacks 640GB RAID 0 - RAM: 8GB Dominator GT DDR3 2000 - PSU: Antec TPQ 1200W Modular - SOUND: Creative X-Fi Titanium Professional - FAN CONTROLLER: NZXT Sentry 2 Touch Screen - SPEAKERS: Logitech Z-5500 Digital 5.1 Surround - KEYBOARD: Logitech G19 - MOUSE: Razer Lachesis 3.5G 5600 dpi - MOUSEPAD: Razer Mantis and eXactRest - BD/DVD: LG Black Blu-Ray/DVD - CASE: Corsair Obsidian 800D Full Tower - OS: Windows 7 Professional 64

Good card, but these Creative drivers = PUKE!!!

AuzenTech AZT-FORTE X-Fi Forte 7.1 Low Profile PCI Express Sound Card
AuzenTech AZT-FORTE X-Fi Forte 7.1 Low Profile PCI Express Sound Card

Pros: -It's got all the features you'd want in a great sound card, including extremely clear full-surround capability. -Comes with a Toslink cable included, so that saved a $20 run on The Shack.

Cons: I've found with both this card and also the Creative X-Fi Titanium, if you do not go into the Audio Control Panel and turn Off the Encoder, it will sit at the Shut Down screen indefinitely until you hard shutdown. Evil, evil drivers. Speaking of drivers, umm on the Auzentech site there hasn't been any released since July. Purely unacceptable. A main reason I went with this company was they supposedly had better driver support than Creative. The sheer length of the card makes it so that anybody with the stock NB heatsink on an EVGA Classified board can not fit this into the x1 slot. Ultimately went back with the Creative X-Fi Titanium Pro.

Absolutely providential!

ORICO Aluminum 5.25 inch to 2.5 or 3.5 Inch Internal Hard Disk Drive Mounting Kit with Screws and Shock Absorption Rubber Washer- Black (AC52535-1S-V1)
ORICO Aluminum 5.25 inch to 2.5 or 3.5 Inch Internal Hard Disk Drive Mounting Kit with Screws and Shock Absorption Rubber Washer- Black (AC52535-1S-V1)

Pros: - This product gave my case such increased airflow. I say that because in my Corsair 760T, I had a single hard drive cage still installed for my lone WD 4TB storage drive. Purchasing up this adapter, I was able to utilize an otherwise useless optical drive bay for the HDD and remove the cage...thereby increasing my case airflow. - Also, this adapter doesn't try to force it's facia into the front of your case like some others. You're free to put the bay covers back on. - Comes with plenty of screws of various sizes.

Cons: None of the screw holes line up in my case unless you want the HDD sticking over an inch into the open case area...but it's secure enough for sitting on a desk. I wouldn't transport it like this, though.

Overall Review: There is the ability to connect a HDD and SSD simultaneously, but c'mon you should want to show off your SSD not hide it away like a disgraced uncle. - Asus Maximus VII Hero Z97 - i7-4790K Devil's Canyon @ 4.4GHz - Corsair H105 - Asus Strix GTX 970 OC Edition - Samsung 850 Pro 256GB/OCZ Vertex 3 120GB SSD - 16GB Dominator GT DDR3 2000 @ 2400 - EVGA 850W G2 Modular - Asus 27" 3D 120hz VG278H - Creative Sound Blaster Z Sound Card - Audio-Technica ATH-M50X Headphones - Corsair 760T Full Tower

ASUS VG Series VG278H Black 27" 2ms HDMI Swivel & Height Adjustable Widescreen LED Backlight LCD 3D 120Hz Monitor 300 cd/m2 ASCR 50,000,000:1 w/ 3D glasses and speakers

Pros: The 120hz refresh rate is so incredibly night and day compared to 60hz. Games like Battlefield 3 are completely different with such an incredible advantage. Comes with the Nvidia 3D Vision 2 Kit. 3D is not merely a gimmick. Give Tomb Raider a run in 3D on this monitor and you'll never view it the same way again. For a more detailed explanation of the layout and what makes this one of Asus' best monitors yet, see the review I did on my SirJamesDTech YouTube Channel entitled Asus 27" 3D 120hz VG278H Monitor Review.

Cons: This monitor came stock with a definite blue tint. My color calibration settings are in my review. The power and DVI hookups are recessed in at the back of the monitor, so install those before placing the monitor on your desk. As they're a pain to get to otherwise.

Overall Review: The imbedded IR Emitter looks very sleek in its design, installed into the top of the monitor. Functionality is perfect, as well. This isn't a con of this monitor, but I sure wish 1440p@120hz native was getting to be a reality. At 27" 1080p is right at the edge of looking really good/average. Overall, this monitor literally opened my eyes to 120hz and 3D. And I'll never go back to a monitor without either one again. - BOARD: Asus Maximus IV Extreme P67 B3 Revision - CPU: i7-2600K Sandy Bridge @ 4.6GHz - CPU Cooler: Corsair H70 Intake Push/Pull - GPU: 2x EVGA GTX 670 SC+ 4GB Edition SLI - SSD: OCZ Vertex 3 120GB SATA III - STORAGE: 3x WD Caviar Blacks 640GB - RAM: 16GB Dominator GT DDR3 2000 @ 1866 - PSU: Antec TPQ 1200W Modular - MONITOR: Asus 27" 3D 120hz VG278H - SOUND CARD: Creative Sound Blaster Z Professional - CASE: Corsair Obsidian 800D Full Tower - OS: Windows 7 Professional 64

Creative Sound Blaster Z PCIe 116dB SNR Gaming Sound Card with 600 ohm Headphone Amp and Beamforming Microphone
Creative Sound Blaster Z PCIe 116dB SNR Gaming Sound Card with 600 ohm Headphone Amp and Beamforming Microphone

Pros: The sound quality is terrific. Rest assured, this is the best sound card I've ever owned. For a more detailed explanation of the layout and what makes this Creative's new flagship, see the review I did on my SirJamesDTech YouTube Channel entitled Creative Sound Blaster Z Review.

Cons: That infamous Rudolph nose red LED which is blinding. Fortunately my 2nd 670 obstructs it. Scout Mode is a gimmick. With excellent headphones, I can barely tell any difference between it being enabled and disabled. Driver installation is a bit wonky, so if the initial install hangs just reboot and try again.

Overall Review: Coming from my previous Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty Titanium Pro, I'd been skeptical about if it would be a true upgrade. Creative has made the true successor to what I had before. Let's just pretend the Recon3D never happened. - BOARD: Asus Maximus IV Extreme P67 B3 Revision - CPU: i7-2600K Sandy Bridge @ 4.6GHz - CPU Cooler: Corsair H70 Intake Push/Pull - GPU: 2x EVGA GTX 670 SC+ 4GB Edition SLI - SSD: OCZ Vertex 3 120GB SATA III - STORAGE: 3x WD Caviar Blacks 640GB - RAM: 16GB Dominator GT DDR3 2000 @ 1866 - PSU: Antec TPQ 1200W Modular - MONITOR: Asus 27" 3D 120hz VG278H - SOUND CARD: Creative Sound Blaster Z Professional - CASE: Corsair Obsidian 800D Full Tower - OS: Windows 7 Professional 64

SteelSeries Siberia V2 3.5mm Connector Circumaural Full-Size Gaming Headset - Black
SteelSeries Siberia V2 3.5mm Connector Circumaural Full-Size Gaming Headset - Black

Pros: For one, I love the suspension system. Fits perfectly on my head, as I imagine it would on even coneheads. Also, the comfort is tremendous at absolutely no expense to the sound quality or sound dampening. Both of which are of the highest excellence. I've no use for the microphone, but it's extendible and flexible if you so need it. For a more detailed explanation on what makes this such a wonderful headset, see the review I did on my SirJamesDTech YouTube Channel entitled SteelSeries Siberia V2 Gaming Headset Review.

Cons: The cord is below the left earphone, which if you have your case to your right it forces you to either run the cord behind you, across your body, under your desk or across your desk. None of which are appealing. When you take the headset off, do so carefully. Ripping them off could cause some damage to the top of the headset due to the cups clinging to one's ears and the somewhat flimsy nature of the suspension.

Overall Review: I'm so impressed with this product, replacing my Razer Carcharias immediately and I believe I'll be a loyal SteelSeries customer from now on. - BOARD: Asus Maximus IV Extreme - CPU: i7-2600K Sandy Bridge - CPU Cooler: Corsair H70 - GPU: 2x EVGA GTX 670 SC+ 4GB Edition in SLI - SSD: OCZ Vertex 3 120GB - RAM: 16GB Dominator GT DDR3 2000 - MONITOR: Asus 27" 3D 120hz VG278H - PSU: Antec TPQ 1200W Modular - SOUND: Creative Sound Blaster Z - FAN CONTROLLER: NZXT Sentry 2 Touch Screen - SPEAKERS: Logitech Z-5500 Digital 5.1 Surround - KEYBOARD: Logitech G19 - CASE: Corsair Obsidian 800D Full Tower - OS: Windows 7 Professional 64
