Bang for your buck
Pros: I must say I was impressed at how far I could push this RAM. Went well over 2.3V on the DRAM Voltage. Good overclocking capabilities, and rock solid so far.
Cons: Be FOREWARNED! If you have an oversize heatsink (Zalman, Thermaltake or XigmaTek) - make sure there is sufficient room for the fins on these memory modules (almost 2 inches high). So take that into consideration before you end up like me having to cut through these fins to get a fit.
ASUS need to re-think this one
Pros: This board offers alot of features
Cons: These features don't work, because the board doesnt work. Apart from the instability issues, I was also faced with the inability to POST at system startup. This board is filled with flaws, and was produced and shipped with a faulty BIOS. Do Not Get This Board. - Holmes
Power House
Pros: I was able to take this thing beyond 4.0GHz easily with liquid cooling. 8 "cores" - always awesome to see in task manager! When overclocked, far surpasses the extreme edition.
Cons: On the expensive side.
Great Board
Pros: Gain control over every aspect of your motherboard and bios. From voltage modification to the ability to overclock anything you plug into it. Very durable: A leak sprung in my liquid cooling system and had the board soaking. Fixed the leak dried the board and it booted right up. This thing is unstoppable!
Cons: Very pricey. You need knowledge on overclocking, to take advantage of this board. There are literally hundreds of possibilities for overclocking with this board, and may be too daunting for the average user.
Overall Review: Get one, ASUS rocks (solid, heart touching).
A decent pair of 5.1 headsets
Pros: This headphone offers many options for connectivity. It will accept almost any audio output you can throw at it. Bass is good, not great. The key to pulling good bass from these sets it primarily having an audio source that can provide it (i.e. a good soundcard in the case of a PC). You can also adjust power to the earcup subwoofers through the in-line adjustment controls - on a side note: the colors on each button change when adjusting volumer per channel. The warmer the color, the higher the volume. I thought this was a pretty cool feature. Many reviewers have said that there is no way to turn off the unit, but the manual clearly states that you can power off the device by pressing and holding 2 buttons (volume wheel and FRONT) on the inline controls for 3 seconds. The headphones come with a interchangeable head and ear pads. Personally I prefer the leather pads because it tends to seal sounds better.
Cons: Cables - lots of them. This unit comes with many feet of cables, great for tangles and mess if not managed properly. 2 POWER ADAPTERS, although there should be an adapter available that merges the two power supplies into just one adapter. The reason for the 2 power supplies is to make the dolby decoder box independent of the headset. 2 Headphones can be used (with their own power) if needed, the decoder box has 2 outputs for another pair of AX Pros (2 player console games perhaps). But that would mean 3 power adapters in your outlet and more cables! The headphones are not very accurate directionally (rear does'nt sound like its really coming from behind, and tends to cause confusion in games. Quality of experience depends heavily on how you're wearing the sets ... shifting the sets slightly forward or slightly backward can completely disorient sound, but this is expected with many small speakers in each cup.
Overall Review: The headsets are a good buy if you're a console gamer. I made the mistake of getting this pair for PC gaming. Which renders the decoder completely useless with the X-Fi. The headsets are comfortable, and can be worn for extended periods of time. I gave this headset 4 eggs because its weak point is providing accurate sound direction.
Like a big block of ice!
Pros: All I can say is ... that's cold. CPU Temperature well under 50C even when in heavy overclock. Took my AMD 6000+ from 3.0Ghz to 3.3Ghz without even bustin' a sweat.
Cons: Very big. This heatsink may very well cover one of your RAM slots, so be careful if you have ram with HEATSPREAD FINS!
