Power House4/20/2010 11:06:07 AM

Pros: I was able to take this thing beyond 4.0GHz easily with liquid cooling. 8 "cores" - always awesome to see in task manager! When overclocked, far surpasses the extreme edition.

Cons: On the expensive side.

Great Board4/20/2010 11:04:16 AM

Pros: Gain control over every aspect of your motherboard and bios. From voltage modification to the ability to overclock anything you plug into it. Very durable: A leak sprung in my liquid cooling system and had the board soaking. Fixed the leak dried the board and it booted right up. This thing is unstoppable!

Cons: Very pricey. You need knowledge on overclocking, to take advantage of this board. There are literally hundreds of possibilities for overclocking with this board, and may be too daunting for the average user.

Overall Review: Get one, ASUS rocks (solid, heart touching).

A decent pair of 5.1 headsets6/20/2009 8:19:47 AM

Pros: This headphone offers many options for connectivity. It will accept almost any audio output you can throw at it. Bass is good, not great. The key to pulling good bass from these sets it primarily having an audio source that can provide it (i.e. a good soundcard in the case of a PC). You can also adjust power to the earcup subwoofers through the in-line adjustment controls - on a side note: the colors on each button change when adjusting volumer per channel. The warmer the color, the higher the volume. I thought this was a pretty cool feature. Many reviewers have said that there is no way to turn off the unit, but the manual clearly states that you can power off the device by pressing and holding 2 buttons (volume wheel and FRONT) on the inline controls for 3 seconds. The headphones come with a interchangeable head and ear pads. Personally I prefer the leather pads because it tends to seal sounds better.

Cons: Cables - lots of them. This unit comes with many feet of cables, great for tangles and mess if not managed properly. 2 POWER ADAPTERS, although there should be an adapter available that merges the two power supplies into just one adapter. The reason for the 2 power supplies is to make the dolby decoder box independent of the headset. 2 Headphones can be used (with their own power) if needed, the decoder box has 2 outputs for another pair of AX Pros (2 player console games perhaps). But that would mean 3 power adapters in your outlet and more cables! The headphones are not very accurate directionally (rear does'nt sound like its really coming from behind, and tends to cause confusion in games. Quality of experience depends heavily on how you're wearing the sets ... shifting the sets slightly forward or slightly backward can completely disorient sound, but this is expected with many small speakers in each cup.

Overall Review: The headsets are a good buy if you're a console gamer. I made the mistake of getting this pair for PC gaming. Which renders the decoder completely useless with the X-Fi. The headsets are comfortable, and can be worn for extended periods of time. I gave this headset 4 eggs because its weak point is providing accurate sound direction.

Like a big block of ice!4/23/2008 12:32:10 PM

Pros: All I can say is ... that's cold. CPU Temperature well under 50C even when in heavy overclock. Took my AMD 6000+ from 3.0Ghz to 3.3Ghz without even bustin' a sweat.

Cons: Very big. This heatsink may very well cover one of your RAM slots, so be careful if you have ram with HEATSPREAD FINS!

Bang for your buck4/23/2008 12:28:41 PM

Pros: I must say I was impressed at how far I could push this RAM. Went well over 2.3V on the DRAM Voltage. Good overclocking capabilities, and rock solid so far.

Cons: Be FOREWARNED! If you have an oversize heatsink (Zalman, Thermaltake or XigmaTek) - make sure there is sufficient room for the fins on these memory modules (almost 2 inches high). So take that into consideration before you end up like me having to cut through these fins to get a fit.

ASUS need to re-think this one12/5/2005 5:29:48 AM

Pros: This board offers alot of features

Cons: These features don't work, because the board doesnt work. Apart from the instability issues, I was also faced with the inability to POST at system startup. This board is filled with flaws, and was produced and shipped with a faulty BIOS. Do Not Get This Board. - Holmes

Great Power Supply12/5/2005 5:25:23 AM

Pros: This power supply offers all the features that you'll ever need in a PSU. It gives more than enough juice to any rig setup that the average gamer would need. To add to that, my 12+ volt line is actually receiving 12.15 Volts, this is really unbelievable for a 650W Power Supply. If you are serious about the power your system is getting. Get this Power Supply, if not... Settle for less! - Holmes

Cons: Kind of pricey for a power supply. Even though people say it’s loud, it’s not that loud, or maybe my system is already too loud.

Possibly ASUS's worst board11/18/2005 5:05:31 AM

Comments: ASUS has released the A8N Series with faulty BIOS. If you plan on using up to 4GB of RAM, or going SLI. Please be warned, this board will give you problems. Mine at the moment, will only POST/Boot when it feels like (Literally). Please don't make the same mistake I did. Buy this board only if you plan on spending days fixing it yourself, or wait for another version.

Get it... You'll love it7/21/2005 8:52:30 AM

Comments: This, I must to say, is an excellent VGA Cooler. Its July now, and the temp is sky high. I bought this cooler to ... well cool my 6800GT. The assembly was a bit tricky, but once you had all your pieces in order, it isn't tedious or difficult. You just have to make sure you select the right face plate (different card compatability). Ambient, my GT was at 60 degrees, and on load, it could go up to 80 deg.(when it was feeling all important :) ). When I jacked it up under this - Zalman ZM80D-HP Almunium Copper Dual Heatpipe VGA Cooler® (PHEW!) the temperature dropped from... listeing?... from 60 ambient, to 45 ambient! What's more, is even when I OVERCLOCKED the GT the temp dared not exceed 55 deg. This heatsink is amazing, the key is to apply a wealth of thermal compund to the setup. You will live to love it.

Only if you definitely have no other choice whatsoever!7/10/2005 12:42:11 PM

Comments: Alright, so I set up the board, didn't take 10 minutes. It booted fine, but this board puts a big STOP to overclocking. If you're a gamer, stay far away from this board. I'd recommend this board for someone who's not into computers for the speed...
