G Pad 7 a keeper
Pros: Very responsive in general, nicely laid out. I like the screen. Terrific battery life -- in sleep mode, it barely drains the battery at all. The relatively small on-board storage is compensated for by the microSDHC slot. Qpair app works really well with my LG phone. This ably replaces my Nexus 7 first generation 16gb, which died after a year. Really like it.
Cons: Need to download USB driver software to transfer files to/from a PC. Slow at switching orientation of screen when tablet is rotated.
Overall Review: Would really like to give 4.5 stars, as the cons I mentioned are minor but slightly annoying.
Pros: Small, relatively easy to use, appears to give pretty accurate distances. Relatively easy to download courses, and has almost every course I would be likely to play. Like that it keeps score and you can tell it what club you're using for each shot, so that (theoretically) you can get a range of distances for each club over a round. Very good value for the price I paid.
Cons: Scoring website isn't quite ready for prime time with all its features. For example, it insists I putted less than I did. But it does get your overall score right, and it's neat to see the zigzag pattern my shots make on the way to the green :0
