Be well prepared
Pros: 16 ram slots, low price, Extended ATX (not enhanced)
Cons: There are two issues that you need to be prepared for when setting up this motherboard: 1) It requires a second 4 pin or 8 pin (it comes with a splitter) CPU power connector from your power supply - which your power supply won't have. I had to take out the soldering iron to the power supply and scrap an old power supply to make this work. Only do this if you know what you are doing and prepared to void the warrenty! Otherwise I think that the tyan website has a couple power supplies that will work on it, if your building a rackmount server. 2) The CPUs are in non standard locations so you have to use the extenders that come with the motherboard to mount it correctly. It took a half dozen tries for me to mount the heatsink. The motherboard comes with three sets of standoffs that the heatsink would screw into, I had to use the smallest ones, and the heatsink still had to mounted just right to get it attached correctly.
Overall Review: Once I had this setup it has worked perfectly. It has no active cooling (other than a CPU fan) so it runs quietly. It took a couple hours to setup but that was well worth it. Do NOT order this motherboard unless you are have a solution to the power supply problem.
