Pros: Have several pairs of these even a few with 3 dishes configured as WDS PtP Wireless Bridge.
Throughput is excellent.
Solid bridge, continuous throughput if you get them aligned correctly, mount them line of sight high enough, and mounted where there are no obstructions.
Cons: I have to climb a ladder to install them.
Easy to mount though once you get up there.
Overall Review: Very pleased with this hardware.
Pros: I really have had great results using these in multiple locations with multiple configurations. I am an IT professional and have used many brands of wireless bridges, this model is my new favorite. I have installed over 10 sets of these with fantastic results and very satisfied customers. Throughput on these is great. I have several sets running up to six 4k resolution video cameras through them with absolutely no problems. Handles normal internet traffic with ease.
Cons: Not a con but a warning. Do not think you can use these if you do not have a clear line of sight between them and elevation is also a key factor. This applies to all and any wireless device.
Overall Review: Highly recommend these but use and understand the onsite instructions on the product website for configuration and installation.
Pros: I really like the cable very much. I have purchased 10 of these in the last year.
Cons: Plastic spools are always broken inside box so it will not dispense from the box very well if at all. I usually have to take the spool out of the box and set it up in my spool caddy.
Overall Review: I have recommended this but always with a warning that you will need a spool caddy because the plastic spools are always broken and the box will not dispense the wire.
Pros: Makes you want popcorn because it sounds like your computer is a popcorn popper when this drive is installed. You can put it in your man cave computer and your wife and kids will leave you alone as long as you don't give them earplugs for the noise.
Cons: Beware this is information from the manual for this drive ..... The 2.5-inch WD VelociRaptor is enclosed in a 3.5-inch mounting frame heat sink that maintains drive temperature. Removing drive from frame is not recommended. .... This very important information if you care about your data, and this part is not included with this drive being sold here.
Overall Review: Your power and sata cable will not clip into this drive without the correct mounting frame heat sink that is not supplied with this purchase. Also might mention the drive I received was imaged by Dell for one of their computers and has to be blanked before you can use it.
Pros: Very good construction and works very well. This is a good cable and survived being pulled down through the wall on each end. Used 2 of these to remote locate the mice for 2 surveillance system NVR's.
Overall Review: I will use these cables again if I have a need, they work great.
Pros: Very good construction and works very well. This is a good heavy cable and survived being pulled down through the wall on each end. Used 4 of these to remote mount monitors for a surveillance system.
Overall Review: I will use this again if I have a need.
Pros: This is the easiest bridge I have ever set up. Has excellent range, it really reaches out there and finds the wireless signal you want to bridge and writes the provisioning changes for you after you save and then apply them.
Cons: Took me longer to mount on building than it did to provision, my fault not the product.
Overall Review: No problems setting up and changing LAN IP like others have had, I can only guess they were not fully saving and rebooting the device correctly.
Pros: Shipped and arrived quickly, that's why it gets 1 egg.
Cons: The diameter of this cable is inconsistent. Standard preset stripper will not cut outer insulation, the blade slides up and down cable for several feet until diameter is large enough for the blade to make contact. Had to use utility knife to get the job done where I needed to strip, very unprofessional and tedious. I do not think the twists are very consistent on the pairs either, some look to be near an inch apart.
Overall Review: Wish I had noticed this before I pulled about 250' of this box in half a dozen runs today, took 3 times as long to strip outer insulation! Not happy with quality of this cable and will not use it anymore.
Pros: Very impressed with these, they do exactly what they are supposed to do. Excellent coverage and signal strength with high speed throughput. I am using these in a commercial application as wireless gateways over a very large area mounted on towers at 18' supplied with fiber optic to the towers. Ten of these absolutely saturates 20 acres full of RV's with high speed internet. If the price stays economical I will be happily switching from more expensive brands at other sites. I like that they come with their own POE injector also.
Cons: Not really a con but they do only come with 1 clamp for mounting and in my opinion you should use 2 clamps. A trip to the hardware store took care of this problem.
Overall Review: I am very pleased with this product and had no problems with configuration and installation. I will be using this and other EnGenius products in the future.
Pros: Seems ok now once I figured out RAM population instructions were incorrect. I am replacing some 10 year old Shuttle mini systems, hope these last as long.
Cons: Put the system together and it wouldn't POST. I build a lot of different systems so it's a good thing when a build does not POST because I have known good parts around to troubleshoot. So in this case it took 2 hours instead of 20 minutes. When the system would not POST I started the usual take it back down, reseat the RAM, reseat the CPU etc. Then I started switching parts same results NO POST. Double checked all components for compatibility, scoured the Shuttle website for information etc. As a last resort I tried putting the RAM modules in the Red slots 1 and 3 instead of the Yellow slots 2 and 4 like the Quick Start, Website, and FAQ tell you to do at Shuttle website. System went through POST and is now up and running.
Overall Review: This system has been out for a while, it's frustrating that nobody has mentioned this problem. Further thought leads me to think the build reviews that were successful were installing 4 RAM modules instead of just 2.
Pros: Easy to setup, comes with everything you need and very good instructions for driver installation and setup.
Pros: Flash in the newest firmware, configure it manually through the web interface and it keeps on working. Have used this model with Broadband and DSL. It's simple to set up and works real good. Works great for small home networks. Has good wireless signal and if needed works real good with range extenders.
Cons: If you do not use secure connect like me you are not able to use the N standard. Secure connect is a wizard in my opinion and I hate wizards to set up network devices.
Overall Review: Price is great and for me several of these have been very dependable.
Pros: This is the absolute best SSD I have ever used. I have purchased 50+ of the 520 series for close to 2 years now in several different sizes and have not had a problem with any of them. They are extremely fast and have been very reliable for me.
Cons: Wish they would get cheaper.
Overall Review: Looks like Intel is bringing out the 530 series and not making the 60 Gb 520 anymore. Newegg so far is not carrying the 530 and this concerns me.
Pros: I have used more than a hundred of these cases, this case is very well built, very universal, and very economical.
Cons: I am very frustrated this case is not in stock anymore and may be deactivated.
Overall Review: It is a shame that this case is being deactivated. It is one of the best cases Cooler Master builds.
Pros: Good board, came up for me right away. Using i7-870 BX80605I7870 cpu and Kingston HyperX KHX1333C9D3K2/4G RAM. I will use this board again.
Cons: I didn't like the SATA connections turned on the side toward the front, and lucky that I only use a very large case otherwise there would not be room to get them connected.
Overall Review: This board has a different layout than past motherboards I have used so you better do the research as far as memory specifications, compatible cpu's, power supply needs etc. Download that manual and read it in detal.
Pros: Color quality is acceptable for what I bought it for. High gloss plastics look very nice.
Cons: I did not need high quality sound but what you get for sound with this monitor is unacceptable. Monitor and comuter sound at max and you can barely hear it even when your nose is almost touching the monitor. Symbols for adjustment buttons are extremely hard to see.
Overall Review: Don't waste your time hooking up the speaker wire to this monitor.
Pros: Purchased 15 of these. Charged them up and put them in and they work well for a while anyway. Two died within 2 months the rest are beginning to have battery failure at 2 yrs. Have 3 year warranty, even on the battery, which is good but the company OPTI-UPS is bad about warranty service, and even worse about customer service and honesty.
Cons: When you read carfully on the company website it says the battery may only last 2 years. Have sent 4 back for warranty in the last 2 yrs. 2 were nearly new and were finally repaired after 30+ days. OPTI-UPS said then that they had had a bad run of boards and batterys, sure made me wonder when the other 13 I had were going to start to fail. Have sent in 2 more recently for repair under warranty in the original shipping carton with the original internal clamshells and each of them have supposedly had freight damage so bad that the battery was either physically broken or the battery has came through the side of the case, that is according to the pictures OPTI-UPS has sent me anyway. They are also careful to send pictures of the shipping box etc. and it mysteriously shows no damage. Of course they will not warranty the item if there is shipping damage and when the shipping box and material is not damaged you cannot get a claim with a shipper either. So you are stuck
Overall Review: If you buy OPTI-UPS products the warranty is not worth the paper it's written on, unless you like frustration and headaches. If I even try to ship another one for warranty .... I definately will not buy anymore... I will ship them to be signed for and inspected in front of the courier so they cannot slam it on the workbench or floor until it physically is broken so badly that they will not warranty it.
Pros: It actually works on the Intel G965 Express chipset. 1.8v 800Mhz 5-5-5-18 is how the DG965RYCK Intel board reads it. So there is a cheap memory that will work and work correctly with the G965 chipset.
Cons: Could not find the actual memory on the manufacturers website to double check the specifications before I bought them, so just had to take a chance to see if they workded. Intel website 3rd party testing on the G965 shows part numbers from this company that worked but specification info on them online is scarce.
Pros: This is the one to buy if you want to use it with an Intel 965 chipset. Runs at 800Mhz with the correct timings and voltage for the Intel 965
Cons: A little more expensive...but you get what you pay for because it works like it's supposed to hassle free.
Pros: Pretty Heatsink
Cons: Bought 2 sets, both sets have speed and timing problems. Not the quality and exact specifications Geil advertises them to be. Will not work with Intel 965 chipset. One set runs at 800Mhz but with 5-5-5-14 timing, and the other set will only run at 667Mhz with 5-5-5-15 timing. Had to put them on an Intel 865 chipset board to find out whether they were dead or not since they absolutely would not work with Intel DG965 motherboard.
Overall Review: Called Geil tech support 3 days ago and gave them the batch numbers from both memory sets and they said they would call me right back. Have not heard from them yet.
Pros: Excellent board for budget repairs and budget systems. Have used 25 of these boards with AMD 2800+ Barton CPU and 512 PC 2700 RAM. Makes an excellent budget computer.
Cons: None - Only have had one DOA board out of 25 and it was quickly RMA'D by Newegg.
