Pros: Silent, fast, and reliable i get good speed with these drives, i made 2 mirror raids with 4 of these drives and transfered tons of files, every possible size and also made hem batch file processing. i have seen alot of drive fail on massive batch file processing but those drive are staying alive and well.
Cons: Not really a con but one drive over 4 had bad sectors when i installed it, i used it for a while until i realized the problem was growing every hours, getting raid errors and significant hdd space decreasing, scans gave me a load of dead sectors.
Overall Review: doa/bad sector are things that happen so i did not take an egg for that like many would have done. ratings are for the item itself, not the shipping price/condition like many people think. if you ever had bad experiences with WD (15 dead hds over 17 in 2 years) and Seagate (3 dead hds over 5) like i do, you might want to try these drives. you wont be disapointed. dont forget to make backups on dvdrs.
Fast but random BSOD
Pros: very fast, seriously i love it how its fast compared to maximum sata II ssd performance.
Cons: it was dead on arrival, i didnt have time to use it alot... but every morning it was dead and had to make a power cycle to reuse it... as i work alot, i've been waiting too long to rma it to newegg so now i have to send it back to adata... ADATA website kinda sucks tbh... no drivers or updates and firmware... what about forums? anyway... drive rocks, but to situation is very bad... as always rma is very bad because you have to pay money again and again....
Overall Review: as for performace/price i dont have anything to say! this is pretty fast write/read and thats how any ssd should be... not low write high read. and for the cons: i tried to remove any hibernate and sleep stuff and it keeps bsoding.
Pros: works A1 and is stable so far! the cables with the package are very useful and nice. when in raid and one of the drives fails for any reasons (bad sectors or other things (like it happened to me)) it will inform you with its integrated beeper. you will also be able to go in the web app and check out the logs to see wich drive is failed.
Cons: the only 2 cons i can say is that you have a boot sequence app running before windows wich runs about 8 seconds or more... its a bit annoying, but there is a little app on the product's download page that let you modify the bios of the card. also, if one of your drive fail and your raid is not repaired or you dont unplug the remainind drive, you wont be able to boot win7... you have to unplug ALL the drives of the actual failed raid, wait that windows boots and then replug them all (its hotswapable) (with the new one if there is) and then repair it from the web form app, because you cant repair from the dos utility. actually using win7x64 pro
Overall Review: i was looking for a budget raid card and found that piece of hardware. i does what its supposed to and is actually going beyond my expectations.
