First page looks good8/26/2011 4:06:26 AM

Pros: The price is good. How it performs only time will tell. Packaging was good, came in box and sealed bag, looks professional. First page printed fine, perfect. Looking on the web I guestimate that about 10% of these remanufactured / refurbished / non standard cartridges fail. I ordered from New Egg with whom I have ordered before from because the good customer service. So if one of these does turn out to be a Turkey, I havve a fighting chance of getting my money back, or a replacement.

Cons: None so far

Overall Review: Remember to test the toner cartridge as soon as you get it. Note the New Egg guarantee expires quite fast, like in a few weeks. Do not store it as a back up only to find out later that it is a Turkey.

Good backup disk2/18/2011 10:04:19 AM

Pros: I was looking for a cheap disk for backup usage. I have two of these. The disk is slow, but seems reliable and simple to use. I use one to back up to Apple mac laptops, and one to backup a linux box. One was new and one was reconditioned Easy to use just pop in the USB for Apple macs. For Linux you need to know the right incantations. But that is the same for any disk

Cons: None really

Data Mining Machine1/4/2011 1:14:03 PM

Pros: I bought this board to make a data mining machine. 16 GB memory ECC. One advantage of AMD is that if you want ECC memory it is a much cheaper way to go than Intel. AMD never stripped out the ECC stuff. You can also use these "Gaming" boards which are consumer priced vs the full blown server boards. This was my first build ever and the machine came up first time around. Not problems. I run Fedora 14. do not over check. Sound works, Software raid works. OCZ Revo2 (50 GB) works. Note I do *NOT* boot off the Revo2.

Cons: None really.

Overall Review: I was preseantly surprised how easy it is to build a computer. The most difficult bit was the cabling. Sort of fiddly and you have to be patient.

M4A98TD PRO USB312/28/2010 11:37:52 AM

Pros: I am a newbie to bulding machines. I used 16GB of this in a ASUS M4A98TD PRO/USB 3 board. Paid $US 135 for each 8GB pair. 16 GB total. Bought from New Egg. I do not over clock and run everthing as standard. I am on Fedora 14 as an OS. Works just fine. This memory is on the Kingston recomended list for the ASUS mother board.

Cons: None really.

Overall Review: I did use a Anti-Static strap and mat. Habit from my Hewlett Parkard days, but that we like 23 years ago!!!! Eeek I am getting old.
