Makes a Nice HTPC case
Pros: Nice size case, sits on top of the subwoofer perfectly. Sheet metal is thin but once everything it tied together it's strong. Light weight, nice looks, things stay cool inside, makes a nice HTPC. Was able to keep cables out of the way. If you use it for what it was designed for you won't have a problem.
Cons: Yes the Motherboard tray is thin but usable. Why does everyone insist on using such bright LED's? nothing a resistor or piece of smoked plastic can't take care of.
Overall Review: ASUS P5G41C-M LGA 775 Intel G41 HDMI Micro ATX Core 2 Duo 1.86gb. G.SKILL 2GB (2x1gb) DDR3 1066 SDRAM Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250 dual tuner WinXP and Snapstream
Pros: Fast, has enough storage, nice size. Can run an OS from it.
Cons: First one died loading the very first file. Their utility couldn't even recover it. Easy Newegg RMA and the new one works like a champ. They didn't send a refurb either, brand new in sealed package. Cost me under a couple of bucks to ship via Post Office.
Overall Review: I would get another. sometimes you just get a bad one and to me it's nothing to worry about.
Nice Storage Drive
Pros: Small footprint, big storage, quiet, fast enough to play HD movies from.
Overall Review: Store my movies on it and have no problems playing them back. Great for taking to a friends house to watch a movie. Slow loading up the drive, but that can be expected. Fast enough to play movies.
Solid Inexpensive Burner
Pros: Burned and/or played everything I've thrown at it. Burned different brands of disk; CD, DVD, Dual Layer DVD's. No Coasters. Could one ask for more? Noise is such a subjective thing....it's quiet enough for my ears....you hearing will vary.
Cons: none so far.
Overall Review: The extended tray is solid enough to hold a cup of java.
