Pros: ESET has very good products. I have been using it and recommending it for several years. It much lighter on system resources then most other anti-virus programs out there. It also works very well with Malwarebytes Pro if you have it installed. They complement each other very well. Yes you can install the 3pc version on different operating system. All 3 don't have to be the same as stated in a previous post. It does have a gamers mode. Go into "Setup", then "Enter advance setup" the expand "Computer" you will see it there and you can change some settings for it. Yes you can "Whitelist" websites or address. Here again open ESET and go into "Setup" then "Enter advance setup" the expand "web and email" then "URL address management" Here are a couple other setting I make. Click on "Setup", "Enter advance settings", expand "Computer", expand "Real-time files system protection", click on the box that says "Setup", click on "Cleaning" I move the slider to "Strict cleaning" Click on "Setup", "Enter advance settings", expand "Computer", click on "On-demand computer scan", click on the box next to "ThreatSense engine parameter setup:" that says "Setup", click on "Cleaning" I move the slider to "Strict cleaning"
Overall Review: I have been doing tech work on computers since windows 3.1 and only consider myself avg. To be 4 and 5 level you better have experience and knowledge in advance server applications, advance networking (enterprise level) and be able to do core OS level of service. Being able to install updates, drivers and hardware does not make you an expert.
Works great, saves lots of time
Pros: It works great at stopping and removing malicious ware. This not an anti-virus program, it is an anti-malware program. There is a difference and you need both types of protection. I use this my Extremely Stable Effect Type of ant-virus program and have not had any issues. I used to use the free version but once I tried the Pro (paid) version that does real time protection, I will not go back to using just the free version, The Pro is a lifetime license so you don't have to renew every year.
Overall Review: Whenever I install this program I always right click on the install (setup) file and choose "Run as Administrator"
Love it for what I do
Pros: I work with Mobile Data Collections Units which is basically a touch screen computer without a keyboard in our trucks (even the on screen keyboard has been removed). The only connection available is one USB port and I had to use a hub, keyboard, mouse, flash drive. This key board has ALL the functions of a mouse and keyboard plus the extra USB port to plug in a Flash Drive. Plus buttons for cut, copy and paste which also saved me time. The lay out is setup so you can hold the board in your hands and use the mouse (trackball features). The buttons are in the upper left corner to be used with your left thumb and the trackball is in the upper right corner to be used with your right thumb. Worked perfect. My daughter also uses it with our laptop for playing her games.
Overall Review: This board should not really be considered a replacement for a regular desktop keyboard. Some of the keys are a little smaller in size and if you plan on doing a bunch of typing it may take a little time to get used to the layout. However for certain applications this board fits perfect.
Still Using It
Pros: Panda is still my choice of protection. I have used it since 2004 on my own systems and recommend it all my customers and friends. Any AV software will slow a system down, and each year it seems to get worse. It part of life of owning a computer and being protected. Updates daily and scanning is pretty fast. I have it on several Vista machines and it work great on there too. Before you purchase ANY software go to the products website and check out the minimum requirements.
Cons: Does not support MS Server 2003. The firewall will occasionally glitch and block your browser but it can easily be reset.
Overall Review: I have also ran into the same problem that "Buttermaker85" did on ONE computer (out of 150+) with Panda and ONE with Norton. I had to use a program called sporder.zip to rearrange the Winsock LSP chain order. Panda needs to have the first 3 lines above MSAFD TCP/IP, which means nothing above MSAFD TCP/IP before installing Panda. (DO NOT try this if you don't know what you are doing) Most common when other type of security software is also installed.
