Replaced my home theater PC
Pros: Powerful android system for the price... comes with the Play Store, unlike most "budget" Android devices. Supports up to 720p screen resolution, but scales 1080p videos just fine.
Cons: Video options show 1080p resolution as an option, but it still runs at 720p... and Minix says the device will never officially support 1080 resolutions.
Overall Review: Bought this hoping it could replace my aging home theater PC, and it's _almost_ there. Doesn't support HD videos in XBMC yet, but the built in apps work well with up to 1080p videos. Running an experimental build of XBMC at the moment, I can either run HD videos -or- SD videos, depending on settings. Developers are currently working on fixing these problems, however! Looks like it will be an excellent media center computer when they are done!
Not very useful in a low profile system
Pros: 8 SATA ports
Cons: Four of the ports may not be usable in a low profile case.
Overall Review: The top ports are at the same height as the top of the low profile bracket, meaning that in a 2U case they will touch the top of the case. That very much defeats the purpose of having an 8 port low profile card.
Not as advertised
Pros: It's pretty and works almost half as well as advertised.
Cons: This is actually an N450 device. Click on the image and take a look. I wish I had. It does work in either 2.4GHz or 5GHz bands, but not simultaneously.
Overall Review: It would be more accurate to call this a bridge than an adapter. Repeater mode is actually repeater + bridge (which is nice if you need it)
Great device until it wasn't
Pros: Worked great for a while, allowing my to run three monitors and EyeFinity on my AMD video card.
Cons: After a couple months, the monitor connected would occasionally shut off and the video driver would report a power error. Later, the monitor would randomly flicker and shut off requiring me to disconnect this adapter several times to get signal back. Swapping cables and monitors around shows that the issue is indeed this adapter. I'm still under warranty, but I am having trouble contacting support because the site requires you choose the part number from a drop down, which does not list "MA-AP01-PD1K" as an option.
Overall Review: Support site requires registration, a phone number and filling out a reCaptcha before you can find out if they even list your product on the registration page. And before you can even get access to so much as a contact form. Horrible tactics for finding repeat customers.
Great card
Pros: Excellent video card, especially for the price! I have no problems running Skyrim or Portal 2 across 3 monitors. Had to step Skyrim down from "Ultra" video to "High", but it's still beautiful!
Cons: None.
