Pros: Makes great rice and steams veggies with ease. So long as you pop it open as soon as it finishes and mix it up a little the rice stays in pretty good condition. It doesn't stick to the bottom too much and is fluffy not soggy and cooked through. Steamed veggies are a little on the crisp side but good enough for a secondary function.
Cons: Several. A messy. While cooking rice it boils over and sprays everything within 5ft with little drops of starchy water. That same water collects in the top and pours down the back when opened. You aren't supposed to cover that vent so I put down some paper towels behind it and make a little towel stovepipe to contain some of the spray.
Like other reviewers mine stopped working after a 10-15 uses. The main heating element in the bottom will not activate and so nothing gets cooked or boiled or steamed. The keep warm element is in the top and still works just fine. I've contacted tech support and hope to hear back from them shortly. Hopefully they will cover the all the costs of an RMA if it comes to that. It's probably going to cost a lot to ship it back.
Overall Review: I was really excited to get this and would have liked to try to do more with it.
Pros: Good price, well packaged, prompt delivery. Was not DOA. Ran at advertised timings and speed...
Cons: ...for only awhile. loading anything onto the ram at advertised speed caused the PC to hard freeze. Loosened the timings and speed to 10-10-10-27 @ 1333 and was able to run just fine. Started bumping the speed up and it hard froze again. Reduced the speed and tightened the timings to finally get stable at 9-9-9-24 @ 1333.
Overall Review: Not a problem with the PC, had been running corsair XMS 3x1G at 9 9 9 24 @ 1600 for past several years. Never had an issue.
Might try tightening up the timings some more but kind of a moot point for me.
