Edit: LAN adapter stopped working
Pros: - Nice look, not too flashy or over-stylized. Would go well with just about whatever style you're going for with your case. - Wifi works good, just place the antenna up in a decent spot and you'll get full-bars in most cases - Aura Sync for all your RGB needs.
Cons: - Edit: Google "PSA ASUS Intel I225-V reddit" and you'll see that the LAN adapter on this board has a history of issues. Supposedly Revision 3 fixed the issues, which my board apparently has. But after a week with the motherboard, the LAN port has completely died, not showing in Device Manager/Control Panel. I'm downgrading to the PLUS version of this board, which has a different RealTek adapter, and returning this defective one. - The initial BIOS update took a decent chunk of time (~30-45 mins), but not a huge issue. (I may have missed a step as well.) - Not a serious con, but the RGB strip on the right stays on even after shutdown. I'm sure there's a bios setting for this or something, just something to be aware of. - If you're using an AMD CPU (in my case, the 5600) with the included fan, do note that the RAM slots are going to be uncomfortably close to the fan. I'm only using 2 slots so it's not an immediate issue, but my roommate used all 4 slots, and the 4th is pushed over a bit by the size of the stock fan. Still works fine, just be cautious if you're also buying some bulky RAM sticks.
Overall Review: Edit: Downgraded from 5 to 2 eggs after the LAN port died after a week of intermittent LAN issues. Wifi works fine, but I don't plan to keep a brand new board that has parts dying within a week. Returning it and buying the PLUS version instead.
