Great Little Machine
Pros: Well the size is a definite pro. The number of usb 2.0 and 3.0 ports, built in speaker, WIFI and DVI.
Cons: The unit comes with an installation CD for drivers and such. However seeing as the unit does not have a CD drive in it, it probably would have been a little more intuitive on Foxconn's part to put a 1GB flash drive with the unit with all the stuff the CD contains. That would have impressed me more so then I was when I first opened the package. So for installation you have to either have a USB cd drive or move the contents of the disc to a flash drive yourself. Not a big deal, but an extra step.
Overall Review: Updates are mandatory with this unit. It started out very slow on the internet, painfully slow at first. After all the updates were installed, it's been great. I mean it's not as fast as my i7 core, but at half the price of the chip alone, not bad. If you are looking for a unit to surf the web with and other basic things, then this is a great start. Add a little ram for under 20 bucks and a 500 GB or so hard drive and you are done. Of course the OS is also extra, if you go with winblows. (no that is not a typo) The unit is very responsive and has no problem keeping up with me. As a matter of fact I'm writing this review on it now.
OK Machine, But in used condition
Pros: Nice machine. Worked out of the box. Has windows 7 Pro with proper COA. This one has a 750GB HDD with a clean load including Security Essentials and Open Office 3.3 pre-installed. 1 Year warranty is good add-on.
Cons: The unit looks like it went through world war 3. There were huge dust bunnies in the unit and it was never cleaned. Maybe someone ran a rag over the top, but that's it. It said "Refurbished", but this is not what I call refurbished, this is Used or off lease at best. The case it heavily scratched and marred.
Overall Review: Don't sell a machine as refurbished when all you did was slap a new pre-load HDD in it and throw a COA on it out the door it goes. Tell people the machine is off-lease or used. Really, most of the appearance is cosmetic damage. The true test is how it performs. So far the unit is performing well. I like the clean pre-load with the anti-virus and office programs. Once this machine is stuck under a desk no one is going to notice the scratches. I just wish someone would have at least blown the machine out to make it look more presentable.
Great Monitor
Pros: I was looking for a replacement monitor and really didn't want to spend too much on it. I was replacing a burned out Acer that was about 7 years old and part of my triple monitor setup. Found this monitor for a super low price and its a Dell. Great color, bright (I had to turn down the brightness so it would look like the other 2), vesa holes under stand mount. DVI & VGA plus USB ports. Can't go wrong with this monitor.
Cons: None that I have found so far.
Overall Review: Unit was packaged well. Shipping took a little longer than typical Newegg shipping, but overall good shipping time.
Nice Unit
Pros: Small size, quick, easy to access components and of course the Intel logo sound when you open the box.
Cons: You have to read the acceptible ram chart. Now while it will probably take any 1.35 volts ram. best not to take too much of a chance on it. I didn't read the part where it said to get 1.35 volt ram. (IT actually does not say you must get it...It should) I instead gotthe cheaper 1.5 volt stuff. Well the unit won't even turn on, No internal speaker so you can't hear any bios beep codes. There is however a flashing power button that itdicates the ram is the culprit. RMA'ed the 1.5 got the 1.35 and all is right with the universe once again.
Overall Review: The ram I picked up for this unit was CT2KIT51264BF160B. And it is working fine. All in all it was only a few dollars more, which I spent more RMA'ing the wrong stuff. Lesson Learned...Read the manual
Great card with win 7
Pros: Supports 4 monitors in win 7. Good resolution. The adapter cables are good to have and it can come with different cable adapters depending on which configuration you choose.
Cons: It will not support 4 monitors in win xp. Found this out the hard way. Could have found it out the easy way by reading the microprinting on the box, but I didn't. The adapters are good but you still need to buy either display port or hdmi cables or whatever configuration you are planning to use. Instead of giving you the adapter and thus building in another failure point, just supply a standard 6 foot cable. If you need bigger you can buy bigger. Just saying.
Solid Unit
Pros: Everything fit well. The unit powered up without any problems and ran like a champ. The case is solid and has a nice weight to it.
Cons: None
