Much faster than the origional
Pros: It is a Raspberry Pi on steroids.
Cons: Unable to withstand stupidity (See other thoughts)
Overall Review: Had to order a new one after a computer tower tipped over and crushed it. It appeared, visually, to have made it...but the lack of booting says otherwise.
Does the trick, avoid MIR
Pros: Very very easy setup and install. Had iTunes and several uPnP devices setup in minutes. Never touched the included software, included web interface is very easy to use like all D-Link web interfaces.
Cons: A little slow on transfer speeds, but that can very easily be Windows. I always have troubles getting Windows to move data across the network at gigabit speeds. Ignore the MIR, just got a rejection letter today, apparently I'm an organization. Who knew? Lost an egg right there.
Overall Review: If you don't plan on honoring your rebates, please don't offer them.
Pros: It holds 2 2.5" drives in a 3.5" bay. Completely tool-less install, pretty creative, actually.
Cons: There is no backplane, so to install you first need to feed the wires through to the front. And once the drives are installed, opening the door does not bring them forward. You need to push the drives from the back to get them out. I cannot for the life of me figure out why you would want to use this product...
Overall Review: Seriously, what is the point of a front-opening door when you have to open the machine up to push the drives out from the back??
Pros: Plenty of room for cable management. Nice big power button.
Cons: Hard drive LED shines through a piece of plastic bent at a 90 degree angle to shine out the front. Mine was broken so while the LED lights up inside, there is no blinky on the outside of the case. Never found the broken piece in the case or box either...
