The Perfect Bag?....Almost

Wenger Swiss Gear PEGASUS 17" GA-7306-06F00 Laptop Computer Backpack
Wenger Swiss Gear PEGASUS 17" GA-7306-06F00 Laptop Computer Backpack

Pros: You could carry a person in there. A small one.

Cons: None for what it was intended. Read my review.

Overall Review: This bag was bought for a trip to Disney to carry everything, every day. It did that with flying colors. We had a Lumix GH1 DSLR camera in the padded top compartment, all the mysterious things my wife seems to need in the outer part. I stuffed a padded lunch cooler in the laptop compartment. With food all around it. And two small jackets and some toys in the middle part. In other words.... everything this bag was NOT intended to carry. But it performed flawlessly. The venting system works very well. with the right angle, and a breeze, you can actually feel the air flowing through it. We also had two of the tall slim Gatorades in the side webs. The cellphone 'pouch' on the shoulder strap is VERY small. It wouldn't fit an iphone, but it did fit a Samsung Rogue (barely). It is perfect for credit card size passes, like a subway card, a Disney photopass, a hotel room key, etc.... Now that it's become my work bag (laptop, sketchbooks, Wacom pad, etc...) I may follow up review later.

Classy, and fast

HP Laptop ProBook Intel Core i5 1st Gen 460M (2.53GHz) 4GB Memory 320GB HDD Intel HD Graphics 15.6" Windows 7 Professional 64-bit 4520s (XT945UT#ABA)
HP Laptop ProBook Intel Core i5 1st Gen 460M (2.53GHz) 4GB Memory 320GB HDD Intel HD Graphics 15.6" Windows 7 Professional 64-bit 4520s (XT945UT#ABA)

Pros: Boots in 40 seconds, opens BIG graphic files with ease. Runs 4 different Adobe and Corel programs with very very little lag. The aluminum case is pretty cool looking. Solid feeling build. With all the ports and the chipset the possibilities are even more appealing. As in dropping in 8GB of RAM and a solid state drive. This machine would fly with that configuration.

Cons: I just can't keep it clean. The case shows smudges badly, and the brown finish on the case already has a small spot of aluminum showing through.... and I baby this thing. My biggest complaint is the touchpad. It is the only thing keeping this machine from 5 stars. It is by far the worse responding TP ever. It really is minor though, I just turn it off and use the Bluetooth to run a mouse. Also, the battery life is nowhere near the advertised minutes. But with the 7200 RPM HD, I guess it's par for the course.

Overall Review: Overall, for me... this almost a perfect machine. I wish I would have gone up a notch in price and gotten a lighted keyboard. But for what I'm doing (graphic arts, photo and video editing), it is well worth the price. It's actually a great deal in my opinion. I bet with 8GB of RAM and the solid state drive running windows, this machine would easily hang with a $2,500 machine. And I would only have $800 in it total If I did that. Thats a heck of a value folks.

It's precise!

IOGEAR GME229B Tilt Wheel 2.4 GHz Bluetooth Wireless Laser 1600 dpi Mouse
IOGEAR GME229B Tilt Wheel 2.4 GHz Bluetooth Wireless Laser 1600 dpi Mouse

Pros: DPI select, light weight, works pretty well on just a pillow, the couch, my pants leg, etc.....did I mention it's precise?

Cons: Cheap feel, but I am used to "Weight means Quality".... but does it? Charging this thing is more than challenging. The laser is quirky on any shiny surface. But that's just the nature of it. If it charged easily, it would be 5 stars.

Overall Review: OK, I've read the other reviews, it's cool that IOGear cares enough to get on here and reply to comments. BUT, there is a problem with charging these units. The cord that comes with it is a joke. It's obvious it doesn't work a high percentage of the time. So fix it already. You have to pull it off to one side pretty hard to get it to charge, and then jerry-rig it with rubber bands to get it to stay. It worked better with my Sony cord to charge PS3 controllers. What's cool is that battery life is awesome, and like I said, it is very precise. I like the side 'scroll' button, it's perfect for me to work on vector art, and Corel and Photoshop in general. Also, it installed on Windows 7 pretty easily, even though it's not listed in the OS list. I liked it enough to get two of them. Oh , IOGear dude, if you choose to reply, I have two of them, and they both act exactly the same.

Is it really Class 10?

RiDATA Lightning Series 32GB Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) Flash Card Model RDSDHC32G-LIG10
RiDATA Lightning Series 32GB Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) Flash Card Model RDSDHC32G-LIG10

Pros: Price.

Cons: I am not convinced it is actually class 10.

Overall Review: This card got very warm shooting HD video for more than 8 or 9 minutes. But it hasn't corrupted any data. It just seems to lag between pictures just a bit compared to more expensive cards. But for the price, it is a great purchase. I got this as a backup, and for that use it is worth the purchase.

My micro 4/3rds camera fits.

Lowepro LP36235-0AM Black Adventura TLZ 15 Camera Case
Lowepro LP36235-0AM Black Adventura TLZ 15 Camera Case

Pros: Offers protection from elements, and MAYBE a short fall. It got 4 stars because it may be designed better than I am giving it credit for.

Cons: It just BARELY fits. Thin, uncomfortable shoulder strap. I gave it four stars because I don't feel I used this bag as it was intended. Otherwise, it'd be a 3.

Overall Review: I've got a Panasonic Lumix GH1 DSLR. It is a micro 4/3rds size camera, and it just barely fit in here, but it did fit. With the stock Lumix camera strap, NOT an after market comfy one. It did have a place for a spare battery and SDHC card, but I stopped using it and put the camera in my backpack. If I do go to a school event, or just take it out on a photo trek, I'll use it. But if I need to carry anything else at all, I will use my Wenger Pegasus. I just can't see me going.."I just HAVE to use the Lowepro" I have to add something..... I put some waterproofing 'camp spray' on it, let it sit, then did a test. I put the bag in the shower (don't laugh) just to see if it would keep out water....It did! I left it under water (to simulate rain of course) for 30-40 seconds, and the interior compartment was bone dry. Good to know Lowepro! But remember, I used a waterproofing spray intended for tents. Hope this helps someone.

JVC Black HA-RX300 3.5mm/ 6.3mm Connector Circumaural Full Size Headphone
JVC Black HA-RX300 3.5mm/ 6.3mm Connector Circumaural Full Size Headphone

Pros: Great adjustability, good sound, light weight, very long cord, and worth every penny. They get 5 stars from me because you wont find a better pair of OVER the ear headphones for the price.

Cons: Don't fold up to store them, piano black is NEVER clean. The ear padding is not as soft as I thought it would be. But these are all very minor things.

Overall Review: I bought these solely for my kids to wear in the car, on a trip. They fit both my 4 yo girl and my 7 yo boy perfectly. You can turn the padding on each ear cover, which is thicker on one edge, and this makes it very easy to make them comfortable on even little faces. And they are so light that they never complained about them. I think they forgot they were even wearing them. I decided to listen to some music, just to check the sound quality, and I was pleasantly surprised. I threw all kinds of genres at them, stuff with lots of bass, accapella stuff, classical..... They are really nice. Honestly, for this price, I have yet to hear better.
