Pros: small physical size,
good capacity 500 GB
Cons: does not appear to work properly.
Overall Review: I actually bought 2 of these. I wanted to transfer my old "Documents" folder in its entirety to another computer. It looked like it was working. But upon inspecting the target folders only 10 or so had the contents inside them, The rest were just a bunch of empty folders. Eventually i got to where i copied 1 folder to the device, unplugged it from the source, plugged it into the target and nothing. The folder was not there. I have no idea whats up with this. I guess I will send it back for a refund. Win 10 Pro on both machines.
Overall Review: So far so good. Card is long. See attached Passmark results.
Overall Review: Passmark rating speaks for itself. Most painless and easy install ever.
Overall Review: First, talk is cheap. I attached a picture on my Passmark results. Pretty darn impressive for the average money I spent. A had a lot of trouble getting the MB to boot with the video card. I had to install an older card to boot then update every single possible driver before it would boot with the new card. This could have been my error. When migrating Win 10 to the new system I may have done a bad job causing driver issues. After spending a few days reinstalling apps, transferring data etc. I realized my backup spinner was being used to boot. So long story short I started from scratch again making sure only my SSD was being used (physically unplugged the spinner) and everything went off the first time without a hitch. I am very pleased and impressed with the results.
MB – MSI MEG X570 ACE
Video – MSI RX5600 XT Gaming MX
CPU = AMD Ryzen 9 3900 X
SSD – Samsung SSD 980 PRO 500GB
Mem - Thermaltake 1333.3 MHz (DDR4-2666 / PC4-21300),
Mem Module Part Number: R009D408GX2-4400C19A
Overall Review: I have been building comps since before there were even PCs. This is by far the most heavy duty case I have ever seen. Well made, well thought out. included fans and filters are a real plus. So far the glass side is doing fine. But, if it ever comes unglued as some reviewers say has happened, I will replace it with a piece of polycarbonate (Lexan) just to be safe. I really see no reason to use glass. Polycarbonate will never break and can easily take the heat. Lots of cleaver mounting options for the ever popular SSD drives these days. One of the reasons i got this case was the USB type-C connector. I don't know why almost every single case out there has the USB, audio and other stuff on top instead of in the front. When they are on top it makes it next to impossible to slide the case under your table or desk and still be able to get at them with bending way down and finding them, Then, being on top they are prone to collect every piece of dust and debris that comes along. Personally i am taking an index card and a piece of tape for a hinge to keep them covered and protected from dirt. Can not comment on the model with colorful LEDs. I have absolutely no use for useless eye candy. Even my memory has useless LED lights. Give me a break. Case is big and heavy with plenty of room inside. Next PC I build I will use the same case.
Overall Review: Very sturdy especially for the money. I can always find fault with stuff these days because most stuff as you know is just plain junk. The mounting base and arm are very well made and I don't see it breaking. The weakest link is the tilt angle. My older monitor weighs 11 .5 pounds and it appears to hold it fine. If I had a newer 7 or 8 pounder it would be better. But, its working fine. Usually when I get something like this I feel the need to replace screws etc. and make modifications to improve functionality. But, this works just fine right out of the box Yes, I would recommend it.
Cons: For me its a big no. Twice now the dual channel 4GB kit has failed me in less than 1 year each.
Pros: Have had this drive for about 6 months now. Works fine, no problems. It came with some Acronis True Image software that also made transferring data very easy.
Cons: I do not see any so far. Long term reliability is always an issue but we will need to wait 5 years before i can answer that.
Pros: Very inexpensive, accepts less costly AMD, DDR3,
Cons: None really. Works as it should.
Overall Review: Built this for my wife who primarily plays online games and checks email. The MB i replaced failed with the famous swollen capacitors. It works as it should and was cake to install. No hidden surprises.
Pros: Small, lightweight, very simple to use.
Cons: I don't see any.
Overall Review: I have a Sony digital camera that the PC link stopped working on after 10 years of ownership. So my pictures were stuck on the memory card. I saw this little device and thought huh, mine as well try it. Plug it in the a USB2 port, plug in my memory card and poof grab all the pictures off of the stick just like normal, totally smooth and piece of cake to use, Running Win-7
Pros: USB 3.0, appears to be good quality built board.
Cons: The sideways SATA connectors are a royal headache. A tad slower than I hoped.
Overall Review: Ok, this board replaced my Gigabyte MA-GA785 series. I run PassMArk on all my machines to see how they stack up. Disappointingly so the new AS Rock with the 880G NB chip runs a little slower than the Gigabyte. Its not really significant but it is a little slower. This is the first and last MB I ever buy with sideways SATA connectors. Had I not plugged in my SATA cables FIRST before installing the MB in the case, I would have had to remove the MB to install the cables. There is probably about 1/2" clearance at the very most between the case and the SATA cable sticking out at a ridiculous right angle. Now the cable has to make a 90 degree bend and would be almost impossible to service with the MB mounted, simply NO clearance. I am OCing from 2800 MHz to 3200 MHz just fine, no problems there. The board performs fine so far, just a tad slower than I hoped for. The documentation like most other MBs is just about non-existent.
Pros: NO dead/stuck pixels, its flawless. Easy to get to menu controls, stable stand, very clear display of text as well. I mention the clear text because my primary purpose of a nice big monitor is for gaming. However, I do a fair amount of Word, Excel etc. My old Samsung (LCD 931) although a nice monitor for gaming was just not that good for pure text. This monitor is stunning for gaming as well as displaying nice clear text. Color rendition is as good as any I viewed at my local stores the day before.
Cons: Its huge, clear off your desk and make room. No biggie but I have it sitting on a 2" book to get the ideal vertical viewing height.
Overall Review: It has built in speakers but I have not used them and probably never will. There is no installation driver CD, you just hook it up and go. I did uninstall my older Samsung driver before hand. Newegg as always rocks big time. Ordered it Tuesday morning, it was waiting on my door step Wednesday afternoon.
Pros: Great price/value factor. Has fan, some cool utilities to monitor the core temp and such if you are into that. Easy driver update utility if you desire.
Cons: none so far
Overall Review: I bought this to replace my XFX 7600GT which mysteriously stopped working 1 year after purchase. So far this card is $100 less than the other card (of course bought a year ago) and works just as well. My use is mainly playing WoW and some word processor stuff. Everything looks smooth and great so far. Standing in Shatt at a busy time I get mid 30's FPS.
Pros: First off i bought this board for the RAID 5 ability. Had no trouble setting it up, worked straight forward. One thing to be advised of, afterinstalling XP the hard drives came on and stayed on for several hours. To make a long story short, this is normal and expected, there is nothing wrong with the drives or the controller. I called tech support and actually talked to a real person, had no problems with support. Occasionaly the RAID 5 utility that I forgot to disable during gaming was coming on during WOW and would really slow things down. Disable the utility while gaming and everything is fine.
Cons: a little pricey.
Pros: Easy access, no tools needed for plug-in cards
Overall Review: Works just fine. I am real happy with not only the quality for the money but just a good case in general. The included case fan is quiet as a mouse.
