Cool and Quiet

Pros: The drive runs cool. Overall the drive is quiet as well, I had stress tested the drive for 24 hours with no issues. I am using it for my primary drive. I selected an enterprise grade drive for reliability. Based on the 2 million hour MTBF I expect the drive to be reliable and so far all is well. Overall the Hitachi drives have proven to be reliable. I have read so many reviews of 2Tb+ drives of all brands being unreliable especially for primary drive usage in business systems. I am trying it with this drive because of the increasing data demands for my apps. I intend to RAID this drive with another shortly. So far so good.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: This drive is competitively priced for an enterprise class drive.
Problems with ASUS M4A89TD PRO/USB3

Pros: Windows 7 loaded onto the drive with no problem.
Cons: I am having severe stability issues with the Revodrive and the motherboard resulting in frequent and random BSOD.
Overall Review: I had earlier posted that the MB and revodrive were compatible but after trying my best to load the rest of the hardware drivers et.al. I have concluded that their is an inherent instabilty issue with the Revodrive and the ASUS M4A89TD PRO/USB3. I am left with the dilema of either using the MB with a mechanical HDD or keeping the Revodrive and replace it with another M.B. on the chance it will function correctly with it. I was overly optimistic once the OS loaded.
Success Achieved!

Pros: This is my third post. I finally achieved a stable platform after I RMA'd the ASUS board and purchased the GIGABYTE GA-890FXA-UD5!! The drive has been running for hours performing all types of tests. My WEI for the drive is 7.9!! and 7.5 overall. (will attempt some OC to raise this a little. : >)
Cons: It would be nice if there was more support from the MoBo folks for this product.
Overall Review: This thing is amazing. I'm happy I sent the ASUS Mobo back and not canned the drive.
Requested RMA

Pros: Starts up OK not DOA. Pretty good packaging and it looked like another decent product from ASUS.
Cons: 1.) My highest concern and finally the deal brealer on this board that made me request a RMA is the instability with the OCZ revodrive and the lack of support in resolving it from either vendor. 2.) CPU fan error! I could never get this issue resolved. ASUS support of little help. Fan was spinninf fine BIOS indicated speed varied fro 0 to 19600 rpm. but the speed was sonstant at about 1300 rpm. 3.) The clearance for fans between the DIMM and the cooling fins on the otherside of the CPU mount is inadequate to put the channel 0 memory module in for most coolers. Really no reason for this.
Overall Review: This is the first ASUS board I have ever returned after 8 or 9 builds using ASUS boards over the years. I just couldn't handle the lack of support from ASUS any longer in this regard. ASUS left me with no idea when if ever the Revodrive issue would be resolved not to mention the other problems. I have enjoyed their products over the years but this has tarnished my opinion of their quality.
Compatible with ASUS M4A89TD PRO/USB3

Pros: Install and loading Windows 7 was very easy using the instructions included and downloading the drivers from the OCZ website to a thumb drive. The ASUS bios (1101) recognized the card as soon as it was installed. The Revodrive ROM message was displayed upon boot and the OS was read off of the CD drive like normal. The rest of the install was as described by many posters here. So if you are considering the ASUS M4A89TD PRO/USB3 and the Revodrive they do seem compatible. I am using a WD, 6 Gb/s drive as my secondary drive and like everyone else have remapped as much as possible to this drive.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: This was a fresh install in a just assembled system. The speed is impressive. I hope I can say the same thing in 6 months.
Good value for the price. Could have been better.

Pros: Nice viewing real estate. Relatively inexpensive. Generally pleasing aesthetics. Performs very well for the price.
Cons: Mounting options are terrible. The plastic cylindrical desk mount simply doesn't work well. Using it as supplied makes you view the screen at an irritatingly steep angle lending to light intensity gradients. Trying to bring the screen nearer to vertical improves the viewing but the unit becomes less stable. Mine fell forward after a hard jolt to the desk it was on resulting in a scratched screen. There are no mounting bracket provision so you have to build them yourself which I intend to do.
Overall Review: Speaking from an engineer’s perspective, it would not have cost any more to manufacture this unit with a more stable mounting system. I am a strong believer in the old adage form follows function. The unit is still a good unit but some work has to be done on the customers part to make it practical in regard to placement.
